About this Squadron

This is a historical online unit of Fighter Squadron Thirty Two. Originally formed in 1945 this unit has participated in all wars and campaigns. It began it's life in the famed F6F-3 'Hellcat' later moving on the F4U-4 'Corsair' and after it new F8 Crusader, it's first super sonic aircraft. A war began to rage in Southeast Asia known as the Vietnam War when they took to the skies in the F-4B 'Phantom II'. In 1974, the squadron transitioned to the brand new F-14A 'Tomcat'. This unit is the recipient of the Meritorious Unit Commendation earned in 1970. In 1975 they were awarded the Joseph Clinton Award for being the Navy's top fighter squadron. In 1988 they were the unit that shot down two Libyan MiG-21's during the Gulf of Sidra incident. In 1993 they became 'The First Toms to Bomb' squadron having been certified for air-to-ground sorties that year. This unit will focus on combat of the mid-1980's to mid-2000's and feature liveries for each change (reference dependent). We will use official radio phraseology to communicate and have callsigns with our names on the jets. You may pick your own callsign however if you 'earn' one it will stick, no matter how embarrassing. Pilots must own the F-14A/B module and the Super Carrier module. Later, we should have the F-8J and the F-4E if or when they arrive. Respectfully, CDR. I.A. "SHAFT" CHAVIRA, COMMANDING OFFICIER, FITRON 32
