  3. You have to set up the presets in the mission editor. Click on an airfield in the editor and view its info. You’ll find the frequency here.
  4. Heatblur, hope this finds you all well ! Many thanks for taking my recomendations with the flight computer last year, I note on revisiting them recently it is far superior to use with the clickable values. I have another request, which "should" be relatively straight forward, or certainly for you guys. The large joy of this module is to be able to navigate correctly to target and is critical for its attack runs. I note in reality a good few hours preflight would be designated to route selection, map making and cutting, choosing the nav points from the terrain profiles and then working back from target for good offsets/nav fixes and final IP's to begin attack runs. So that from this a kneeboard can be made with the drawn legs with timings, heading, dangers etc etc. However at present, especially in VR it is very problematic for this information to be calculated and referenced. Given that the game engine stores in GPS format (a joy) there are formula's out there that will calculate a magnetic heading and distance from point A to point B. Given that we can plan a route in the mission editor, or indeed from the F10 map - can we in the back end populate this into the kneeboard. It would be a quantum shift in ease/reality especially for those of us that cannot say spend an hour planning the "mission" first and measuring marking legs with distance and bearing. So with the time players have they could concentrate on route selection, but then the "donkey work" would be completed and be able to referenced inflight. It also stops us having to reference the F10 (which in itself is a cheat mode) during "flight". This could really be represented on one page (an additional bonus would be for it to be split in addition onto the map pages within the kneeboard itself). It would be a huge help for either single crew flight, or for a nav alike that flies in VR. It would be most beneficial for just about every single phantom player that really wants to play with the module in the spirit of true gen 3 aviation. It would with this data then be very simple to have to additional boxes on right hand side, that you could select airspeeds, say 420, 480, 540 (ideally starting at 360 in clicklable 20 knot increments to say 600) that would then populate a time for that leg. This is bare bones, currently i tend to use 450, 480 (8 miles a minute) and finally 540 for attack runs (9 miles a min) as it gives easy timing on the fly. PS Note to map developers - when you build a map start putting in the aerial masts that are shown on pilot charts, every time a new map comes out i end up populating it with around 40+ of them lol as they make great VRP's.
  5. Currently, RWR is behaving incorrectly with player flown MiG-21Bis. Its not being shown as fighter symbol but its under unknown. Additionally, according to manual and PRF tone site, it should change tone in handoff mode if it switches from search to STT which it doesn not. https://officialdsplayer.github.io/F-4E-RWR-PRF-Library/
  6. Thats correct. Any HB UI can in VR only be shown around the HUD area. The collapsed window can be opened and dragged around using the mouse (not VR hands)
  7. Thanks Zabuzard for the reply, apologies for the time taken to respond I did have the basic knowledge from the dash 1 and have read the manual, i think i may have had an issue with a joystick asiz reversal (Aka was going 100 at the min setting, but then fading to zero again at the top point, or the max Night setting if that makes sense) but also on reflection didnt explain myself too well in what i was experience in the game with the lack of control of the lighting, i will revisit as ive been to bed since lol. I should have referenced the side dials as was trying to control the HSI and airspeed lighting separately and all i could get to work was the rear aft dial just to the right of the white flood switch. Thanks for the clarity however, i will check its as per your brief.
  8. Connected under the legacy of pingu let us be
  9. roger. no problem. good luck.
  10. hai valutato la MFG come pedaliera? è veramente ottima, se vuoi passarti uno sfizio ci sono le Slaw Device RX e RH.
  11. Sorry, my bad, I don't know if they changed from the moment the mission was done. I'll update the mission and the documentation.
  12. Today
  13. I am not a coder and I don't run a DCS server so I don't have an understanding of the DCS core on that kind of level, so I'll accept what you say regarding aspects of it being outdated and simply say, for my simple needs, I've always found the core more than sufficient and fit for purpose, but you aren't the only one to express dissatisfaction with elements of it. Your interpretation of EA being used as a marketing term is interesting to me as I always saw the EA label as making a product less attractive rather than more so. Either way, I acknowledge that it's used inconsistently between different devs. Personally, when I rethought my attitude to buying EA (2023) I was still comfortable buying EA from ED because I was comfortable with their standard for a module leaving EA, and the only other risk I saw to an EA purchase was bankruptcy, and ofc if that happened DCS as a whole would be kaput so it was neither here nor there. I know next to nothing about the Yak, what you've spoken of certainly sounds frustrating and such an experience could well have made me more averse to buying EA from ED. I get what you're saying about doing this as a 'thought experiment', and while I restate my belief that the date a product first becomes available is immaterial, I also accept that the date of last significant development isn't readily available so judging according to that wasn't an option. Personally, I could happily live with the F-18, F-16, A-10C and F-5 being my next four modules so I could see a way forward for someone sticking purely to ED modules once they're out of EA. Either way, I'm glad we both want to see DCS succeed for a long time to come.
  14. Thanks silverdevil, I will give that a try and see if it works for me.
  15. That user hasn't been active on forum for seven years so It's more than likely he has indeed "jogged on" already. Did you really need to revive this nine year old thread to re-light argument with him? What's the logic here?
  16. lol. well, someone did make it. JF-17 RIAT 2025 Livery
  17. This issue was reported over a year ago, and unfortunately, it still hasn't been addressed. I agree with your point, no disrespect to ED, but if the development team is so overwhelmed that a critical weapon bug rendering it unusable remains unresolved for this long, perhaps it's time to consider delegating weapon development to the respective third-party developers. This could help reduce the burden on ED's internal team and ensure more timely fixes. again, it's been a year, and we have no clue when it'll be fixed
  18. New tricks, single image for two different situations ? Bottom is sea level seems like, and top side something higher altitude, and looks like some higher velocity then 0,8 mach number. And I'm very curious to see how this ''blue'' part (vacuuming) will develope with velocities
  19. So.. kurzes Feedback.
  20. Sorry I meant being used with DCS. Quite a few reviews with racing sims I will admit. However as it’s Specifically DCS I’ll be using it with, then it’s how it runs with that, which is important. Hence asking the experts here, who will have the experience with DCS and the haptic seats.
  21. When in VR the input window where you can write appears at the front of your view where the jester wheel normally appears. It’s a bit inconvenient but it’s apparently a limitation of the DCS engine.
  22. As soon as they add a RAH-66 Module I will surely be back for DCS!
  23. I didn't accuse anyone, unlike you, of anything! And as you say, everyone can have a point of view. Except me it seems? You however come across as both critical and an idiot for seeing thi8ngs in a post that were never mentioned! Jog on.
  24. Thanks! For whippet blue, no not at that exact moment. 2 of whippet blue were trying to catch up at the time the major checks in and asks about them. They were behind but there. I am not sure where the other 2 of whippet blue were, they never showed back up in formation after flying through IMC after the bomb run. I suppose they could have gotten taken out by flak, but the 2 should have still been in top cover as this was not long after whippet red was ordered to attack the fighters taking off.
  25. I thought the La-7 would come out before the F-4U. I was shocked when they suddenly announced the launch of the F-4U and not the La-7.
  26. Is it only me, or is the update mechanism of DCS maybe not the most optimized one possible? I understand particularly included map updates (=texture) are huge. Ok. But come on... 50 gigabyte? Nearly every time nowadays? That's more or less a full download for a fresh install of Elden Ring. There has to be a more streamlined way to do this. At least let me de-select updates for maps I'm currently not using. Nice to see that some players get 115 MB/s. Where I live 10 MB/s is pretty much the fastest option available.
