Miles, knots, feet and NM are metric now?

It's not an air superiority by anyone's standards. An air superiority fighter is meant to go to the enemies airspace and take control of the sky from them. For that role it needs robust independent search and track cabilities, lots of range and lots of weapons. It has to be able to see, fight, and survive in contested air space often behind enemy lines. The Flanker filled that role for the Soviet Union. The Fulcrum is very much optimized for defensive counter air. As such It lacks the range, payload and most importantly the sensor suite to go establish air superiority somewhere else. It's a point defense asset and meant to be intergated into a comprehensive layered air Defense system. It was designed to be cheap and easy to mass produce, and it relies on things like GCI to provide situational awareness. Outside that environment, isolated and independent the MiG is not very survivable.

I'm mean I've been killed by stingers Hawks and Roland's in Multiplayer. Might have tanked one stinger and limped it home, but they either cripple or kill me fine. -
Почему незачем? А как перехваты делать? и вообще воздушные бои без них вести?)

Okay thanks. But can F-14/15/16/18 RWR detect launches from their own side IRL? And then there’s the matter, would it have been possible to reprogram the Hercules launch warning for other targets if you had the information? Not sure how many people could answer that.

Нет есть подрежим БЛИЖНИЙ РЛ. Включается по кнопке 2 + переключатель режима работы радара на БЛ.БОЙ. По сути вертикальное сканирование.

Hello, when I look on YouTube, I often see people flying low and relatively slow firing R-27 no more then 25 km. And yeah, it’s hard becuase MiG-29 has low fuel and no one told us how to properly climb and accelerate with it to get to max altitude and speed. Well, here is the way to get as high and fast as possible, using the least fuel you possibly can, and throw that R-27 as far as it can go and still get home! I also talk about highest performance speeds for several things as these are important building blocks to make our most efficient climb, and how to get home with the least fuel. Really hope it helps, it’ll make it easy peasy to get Mach 1.7+ at 18 km altitude and become the juggernaut blufor fears!!!

Actually, it was not taken away, I still have it registered within my licenses: And it is still available on DCS as an AI aircraft: However, if I actually wanted to fly it myself, I would need a DCS version 2.5.3 stored on my PC (which I don't have). It wasn't a favorite aircraft of mine, so I didn't keep such a version on my disk, but for the three remaining Razbam modules that I own, I will be storing a copy of their last compatible DCS version, as I still intend to keep flying the Mirage 2000 and harrier at least (and just maybe, the MiG-19 too)

Maybe a lot of us played the FC3 version a while ago and they did updates since then that made the FC3 version different/better? That would be my case. I used to fly the FC3 Mig, but despised it. It never felt like it flew right. This feels different/better. Or it could just be the better sound/textures/FF aspect. But it does feel different. I was very skeptical that I'd like this module when I bought it, but I'm pleasantly surprised. It's a lot of fun in a knife fight.

Hi, I noticed different engine sounds during flight. Engine 1 idle, engine 2 at AB and vice versa. Same on ground

On the apg-65, the Hi PRF of RWS/STT/TWS is Range Gated. It's at a lower duty cycle(~33% according to the case study)and lower PRF(if I'm not mistaken?). So mprf like processing and (FM rangine used too?). On that manual it states For VS I just think a high PRF and high duty cycle. The PDI (Hi PRF) is commanded by the apg 65 if the sparrow is selected and the target is under 1.2Rmax They shouldn't detect F14s/15/18s. Tornado F3 tacman states that a locks from planes that guide SAHR through HPRF should be taken as a missile in the air and be defensive. And THAT RWR was quite advanced for its time and showed ALOT of information. If you look at the emitter list, you have the fighter(lets say mirage) and under it a different signal, IM, for mraam. F14 has one, as it used both PD and CW. But no extra signal for F18/15. Why not? The CW section is considerably large in time to tell the difference between a pulse and a continuous wave. As you know it switches back and forth between CW and Pulse. ~30ms cw and ~20ms for pulse. The pulse is 1.25-1.5 microsec and HPRF is 160-220kHz. You can fit 4800-6600pulses. Mathematically, you can consider the CW part as a cw infront of the pulse.

Not really, I’m not sure it says. When talking about same thing Su-27 manual says “possibly.” It’s in the manual as a warning near the end, which isn’t usually the standard stuff why? What’s different then a F-15 with Sparrows?

The title says it all: Afghanistan map not available anymore after Sept-17 update. I tried to unselect and reselect Afghanistan map in DCS launch manager - without success. Afghanistan map and all associated content in DCS is not available anymore after latest DCS update. It is still available on SSD. (logfile attached) dcs.log

It is kinda slow even on axis. Maybe that is realistic.

TeTet, in all honesty, a Voodoo is a Voodoo. The 101B being such a rare aircraft, I think it's fantastic that we will have it in DCS, so thank you very much. Great news to hear that the 101C is being worked on by another group. We are all being spoiled. Thank you for your reply
