  2. Thanks a lot for the flowers @Esac_mirmidon yes, you kinda got that right, if i'll ever finish this.. then yes, the package will contain a mission file, a zip folder called RAF_Gütersloh, a few triggers..everything needed. I will set up a homepage for the whole project real soon, plus add stuff to a youtube channel cause i got a few ideas up my sleeve The goal might be to work on more bases like Büchel, Pferdsfeld.. and lets see what will happen in phase 2.. and hopefully a big update for phase 1 cause so far all airbases are very inaccurate when it comes to the layout..i'm not even start to mention buildings.. @asinartThx, i knew this video allready... working on some Small stuff.. gas tanks, electric boxes.. offices.. you name it
  3. Thank you! That works, now I see ten times lowered "peripheral_multiplier=0.05"! Thank you again! But I still have low performance. I tried to uninstall Quad-Views-Foveated-1.1.3.msi (without uninstalling OpenXR Toolkit), and my normal 72 VRfps comes back. When I install again Quad-Views-Foveated-1.1.3.msi and reset by default OpenXR Toolkit, eye tracking starts work well with very low "peripheral_multiplier=0.05", BUT I got only 45-50 VRfps instead of perfomance boost . I have doublechecked that turbo is off in settings.cfg and OpenXR Toolkit. I know that turbo mode never worked well on my pc and resulted in the same fps drop, so it looks the same like turbo is "on", but cant be sure for 100% in that. And definitely installed Quad-Views-Foveated-1.1.3.msi is responsible for fps drop. If you have any assumptions, please tell me them. Thank you again! just in case my log file again, looks like turbo is off 2025-07-19 14:50:27 +0300: XR_APILAYER_MBUCCHIA_quad_views_foveated layer (v1.1.3) is active 2025-07-19 14:50:27 +0300: Using layer: XR_APILAYER_MBUCCHIA_quad_views_foveated 2025-07-19 14:50:27 +0300: Using layer: XR_APILAYER_MBUCCHIA_toolkit 2025-07-19 14:50:27 +0300: Using layer: XR_APILAYER_VIRTUALDESKTOP_oculus_compatibility 2025-07-19 14:50:27 +0300: Requested extension: XR_KHR_D3D11_enable 2025-07-19 14:50:27 +0300: Requested extension: XR_KHR_visibility_mask 2025-07-19 14:50:27 +0300: Requested extension: XR_OCULUS_audio_device_guid 2025-07-19 14:50:27 +0300: Requested extension: XR_EXT_hand_tracking 2025-07-19 14:50:27 +0300: Requested extension: XR_HTCX_vive_tracker_interaction 2025-07-19 14:50:27 +0300: Blocking extension: XR_VARJO_quad_views 2025-07-19 14:50:27 +0300: Blocking extension: XR_VARJO_foveated_rendering 2025-07-19 14:50:27 +0300: Requesting extension: XR_EXT_eye_gaze_interaction 2025-07-19 14:50:27 +0300: Requesting extension: XR_FB_eye_tracking_social 2025-07-19 14:50:27 +0300: Application: DCS (DCS.exe) 2025-07-19 14:50:27 +0300: Using OpenXR runtime: VirtualDesktopXR 1.0.6 2025-07-19 14:50:27 +0300: Using OpenXR system: Meta Quest Pro 2025-07-19 14:50:27 +0300: Trying to locate configuration file at 'C:\Program Files\OpenXR-Quad-Views-Foveated\settings.cfg'... 2025-07-19 14:50:27 +0300: Found option 'smoothen_focus_view_edges=0.2' 2025-07-19 14:50:27 +0300: Found option 'sharpen_focus_view=0.7' 2025-07-19 14:50:27 +0300: Found option 'turbo_mode=1' 2025-07-19 14:50:27 +0300: Found option 'horizontal_fixed_section=0.5' 2025-07-19 14:50:27 +0300: Found option 'vertical_fixed_section=0.45' 2025-07-19 14:50:27 +0300: Trying to locate configuration file at 'C:\Users\Tiger&Varan\AppData\Local\Quad-Views-Foveated\settings.cfg'... 2025-07-19 14:50:27 +0300: Found option 'smoothen_focus_view_edges=0.2' 2025-07-19 14:50:27 +0300: Found option 'sharpen_focus_view=0.7' 2025-07-19 14:50:27 +0300: Found option 'turbo_mode=0' 2025-07-19 14:50:27 +0300: Found option 'peripheral_multiplier=0.05' 2025-07-19 14:50:27 +0300: Found option 'focus_multiplier=1.0' 2025-07-19 14:50:27 +0300: Found option 'horizontal_focus_section=0.5' 2025-07-19 14:50:27 +0300: Found option 'vertical_focus_section=0.5' 2025-07-19 14:50:27 +0300: Eye tracking is supported 2025-07-19 14:50:27 +0300: Recommended peripheral resolution: 228x226 (0.100x density) 2025-07-19 14:50:27 +0300: Recommended focus resolution: 1138x1132 (1.000x density) 2025-07-19 14:50:27 +0300: Stereo pixel count was: 10296650 (2275x2263) 2025-07-19 14:50:27 +0300: Quad views pixel count is: 2679488 2025-07-19 14:50:27 +0300: Savings: -74.0% 2025-07-19 14:50:37 +0300: Session is using quad views 2025-07-19 14:50:37 +0300: Edge smoothing: 0.20 2025-07-19 14:50:37 +0300: Sharpening: 0.70 2025-07-19 14:50:37 +0300: Turbo: Disabled
  4. Israeli top ace Brig. General Giora Epstein passed away at age 87. Epstein was the top Israeli ace with 17 confirmed kills between the 6 days war and Yom Kippur war, of which 16 jets and 1 helicopter. All were achieved in the Mirage III and the Nesher (Israeli Mirage V). Rest in peace <salute>
  5. “42” looks to be a typo. It should read “43”. 32, in addition to being the navigation distance, is the manually entered range to the target. Why would a range/distance number be tied to cannon rounds remaining (42)? Also, if you look at the diagram, 43 is pointing at roughly 16 km on the range scale.
  6. That I also see. I like that idea. Granted, less fuel in that tank but the addition of an additional sensor usually outweighs that.
  7. there was either some sort of update for windows or whatever needing to finish OR perhaps clearing memory. its a windows forever problem.
  8. Can someone else confirm that disabling ASW in OTT does not in fact disable ASW in DCS?
  9. That’s always been a problem, that is present even in Flaming Cliffs: years ago ED launched a poll asking the community if the reworked Su-33 (new FM with realistic modelling of the canards, among other changes) should have a display light in the cockpit for dorsal air brake deployment (not realistic) or have the indicator light non-functional (realistic). The community at large vastly preferred the non-realistic option, so that’s what we got…
  10. you can ask for a refund for the f-15E cause is still il EA, but the good Ron has "declared" all other RB modules as "complete" so no way you can get your money back for them. Tapatalk is a crap.

  12. Hello Below I describe what has been happening with Winwing customer service. On the 16th of July I received the Ursa Minor joystick, which as soon as I unpacked it had the 5-way mini-stick with the associated buttons 23 24 25 26 27 not working. I immediately open a support ticket at the official Winwing website and also with Paypall. As you can see from the posted screens, as a first response they tell me that they are not responsible for the joystick defect, then they propose sending me the button to replace the faulty one. I reply that I am entitled to a new joystick as a replacement or a full refund of the purchase price. Now they are stalling to find a solution by actually doing nothing except apologising for the problem. I decided to open this thread to keep friends and potential Winwing buyers informed on the forum. Also since on the home page of the Winwing site they have put the icon linked to this forum I am asking the forum administrators to take action to resolve the problem Thank you to anyone who will give me support. I have republished in this section of the forum a discussion previously opened here. Below are screen shots of the open ticket, I will keep you updated null Translated with DeepL.com (free version)null mini stick fault.mp4
  13. Hum sometimes you must wait for the other flights to take off. Did you look at the timings and at what time before take off you spawn in the deck. By default this timing is often quite long to prepare mission slowly. You can change it in conf file
  14. It seems that there is a risk if you buy 3rd party modules. If Razbam says it is over, how ED will handle the situation? Maybe they just tell us to use old version of DCS with Razbam modules. I don't know if they give any compensation to clients if they have bought early access modules.
  15. They were testing aim-120 missile avoidance maneuvers in single player, high-g barrel roll to be precise (AI shoots missile, player avoids). Tacview was reporting around 1g when in-game readings were 6g+. Some player (Blackfyre) presented Tacview readings as proof, this was rejected by ED team's Chizh and it was subsequently checked by the player himself who concluded that Tacview's readings were indeed very unreliable. I mean this post:
  16. Really looking forward to the August update and seems to be a big update! Also nice to see that the F/A-18C Hornet will get some nice updates too!
  17. Let's disregard the particulars of this situation and look at a purely hypothetical one: Imagine I hire you to create a marble statue for 1000 USD. You deliver, I owe you 1000 USD. Now I claim that one day you parked your vehicle on my lawn, and that that has caused me damage, and that therefore I withhold that payment of 1000 to you. Most courts in the world would tell me that I can't combine things that aren't contractually connected, and they will order me to first pay the 1000 USD to you (settling the 'marble statue' issue), and only then, in a separate procedure they will settle the damages that you owe me for parking on my lawn. I cannot unilaterally impose sanctions upon you simply because I feel it to be just nor adequate. Separate things must stay separate. So it may well be that RZ impinged, or broke some contract(s). If ED have a contract schedule to pay RZ for services rendered, they would be well advised to pay those fees under the contract, and sue separately for damages for the broken contracts else they open themselves up for litigation. Now, we don't know the facts of what happened here, except that there was a lot of unnecessary, unhelpful and probably self-serving public exposure (highly inappropriate and unprofessional). So let's not speculate nor believe any public missive that was put into public view - they are irrelevant to the proceedings. As a customer of ED who owns all modules that currently are under dispute, I'm not interested in learning who was at fault. I'm interested to learn that my modules will be kept up to date and the Early Access promises are going to be kept. I don't care how this is accomplished, and I hold ED accountable for looking out for their customers - especially after they broke their promise to me in the Hawk debacle, and I decided to give ED the benefit of doubt with the Harrier, Mudhen, Mirage, Farmer and Falklands.
  18. Here we go again.. RB 3rd party contractors = RB's responsibility to pay. Every company has the right to withhold payments to their subcontractors if there has been a breach of contract/internal dispute, most don't exercise this, but in ED's case they did.. RB employee's internal pay disputes lie solely at their CEO's responsibility, not with the contractor, in this case ED. They should have gone to their own legal representatives to resolve their disputes, NOT chops off on social media. Ron was caught with his hand in the cookie jar, but blames the party who put the cookies there to begin with. I do believe Heatblur was the only 3rd party who were in a similar situation, that was resolved and HB have refused to be dragged into the issue between RB, I guess you are within HB's corporate team to state "for no apparent reason" otherwise your comment would be defamatory in nature, how do you know with 100% certainty that is was for "No Apparent reason" ? You refer to "leaked stuff" , which wasn't done by ED, all of the leaked stuff was generated by.......yeah by individuals closely associated with the party at the centre of the issue. Imagine that? One of the other consistent things that you fail to mention is the breach of contract by Razbam/RZ and the allegations of IP infringment.. And yes, if ED decided to withhold several Million $$$$ for zero reason whatsover, just because the CEO decided he didn't want to, absolutley 99.9% of the time, courts and tribunals would side with the plaintiff and order payment to be made. If this was the case here, the entire community would be 100% behind and in agreement with Razbam.... But it isn't the case at all..
  19. So, this is the end... 2025: The year of the RazScam.
  20. Absurd logic. How does the way that Ron deals with his employees legitimize ED's decision to not pay Razbam? Are you under the impression that ED is a subcontractor of Razbam? Because otherwise this makes zero sense. Also, the reason why Ron doesn't have the money to pay his employees is because ED stopped paying, so you are mixing up cause and effect. Besides, one of the consistent things we see in the leaked stuff is ED not paying their subcontractors on time for no apparent reason. So by your logic, a court or tribunal would side with Razbam, but of course your logic is illogical and not based on fact (since they is no court or tribunal that we know of).
  21. AH has interesting choices but quality control is almost non-existent, bugs and problems are unfortunately typical in their case.
  22. I know exactly how you feel!
  23. Bump
  24. Surely that's not a DCS problem per se, but more a hardware limitation? If you want to recreate the fire bombing of cities in WW2, are you going to have 700+ bombers in the air at the same time, along with diversion flights and who knows how many escort fighters and interceptors? The only way to get around that I think is to work with triggers zones where units dynamically spawn/despawn depending on where you are at that moment.
