  1. Earlier this afternoon George VRSd while in an established hover. Flat terrain and after a couple minutes of scanning a town from a stationary position he elected to decorate the landscape with parts. <65% fuel, max cannon, 8 hellfires. Map: PG. Altitude was likely around 1200 MSL, (100' AGL). Maybe the temperature and altitude is his problem. All of my references in the last two posts were similar conditions on PG. Maybe even up to 2000 MSL in the first, i didnt check terrain elevation i that one.
  2. Definitely still happens. 6 times in 8 flights, average 35 minute flights. I recovered 3 of those myself. Simple commands, 500 to 300 ft. 70 to 0, 40 to 0. One command at a time, some hilly terrain, some flat. The last time was a 40 knot flight searching a city and couldn't handle bringing to a hover. Starting fuel 65%, 100% ammo, 8 114s, occasional rockets on the outers, otherwise nothing on outer pylons.
  3. I can aquire one today. I've done it both single player and online. The players in the online server and a few buddies I play with validated they have the same issues. And to reiterate, it's specific to the AP round. If you happened to be using the HEAT round, it works perfectly.
  4. The closest post I could find to this was 2 years old referring to laser range validity as a whole. But I've noticed the AP rounds for the Russian tanks don't correct based on the laser range finder. The heat rounds work and you can see the turret adjust accordingly for those on all tanks affected in terms of the AP round. The ZDB/China tank works for the AP round, as does apparently the leapord(s), leclerc, Abrams and all of the other relevant tanks. Seems to be strictly related to the russian tanks, the T90, T80UD, and T72(?).

    Ship spoting

I find it helps to switch to FLIR and adjust the levels and gain to increase the contrast. Also, not sure I can explain this well, but dont focus on looking for a ship, specifically. Focus on the overall pattern and tune your eye to catch what's different. Similar to what a sniper would do. They are trained to anylize the environment and spot what's different/out of place.
  6. In the last patch, or even two, something drastically changed in processor use. I admittedly have an old one, 2600k over clocked to 4.4 and i recently upgraded to a GTX 2600S. I upgraded GPU right before super carrier, and saw a massive increase in performance. I went from averaging 12-15 fps to 35-40. When super carrier released i saw a few more fps come my way (aside from on carrier obviously). Two updates ago i saw a plumet in performance, my processor starting to bottleneck, which as surprised as I was, wasnt really an issue when i upgraded my card. Then, with the last update. It got worse. Im frequently at low 20s to upper teens. Ive even lowered settings. My plan was to always upgrade the rest of the computer over the next few months, but, that may be escalated because for whatever reason, the processor is handling information far less efficiently than before the prior two patches.
  7. I believe i did just that the other day to view video feed. I essentially unclicked DL and reclicked DL and it showed the feed. Well, then i had to change to the appropriate channel, but it worked without deselecting the SLAM. One issue i had, which may or may not been related, is that i lost feed during terminal flight when trying to guide it to target. Both missiles did this.
  8. Did you change the datalink channel? The channel is related to the station the munition was on. So if the first was station 8, datalink would be on channel 8. To pick the second one up, youd need to change the channel to say, station 3/channel 3. Ive only used two SLAMs, but my issue was that i lost the feed on both before impact and wasnt able to finish guiding to target.
  9. Ha. The models are made, just throw a little motion capture in there. Simple, right? Lol.
  10. Nobody found this funny? Or was I late to the party?
  11. I think the current deck crew animations fell short. See video. ${1} http:// In all seriousness, though. I'm loving it. Thanks.
  12. I've read most of those, too, but I have had zero negative impact and it's been business as usual dropping JDAMs just as i did before.
  13. I exclusively run OB, and with a pretty old rig. Up until a week ago I was averaging 15 fps with a GTX570. So i get a kick out of people complaining about performance and unplayability. That said. I upgraded just the vid card to a 2060 Super and now average 40 fps with increased graphics. Holy cow, lol. By the end of year i will upgrade the rest of the computer.
  14. I think it helps to stop behind the blast deflector as well until they recognize you. I've had them address me when stopping closer to the cat, but ive also been ignored until i circled back around and stopped behind the deflector.
  15. Use the HSI. It will put a ranging circle on the DDI showing the target and in the top corner will tell you bearing and range. It will also put this information on the HUD showing how far you are from In Range and when you can release.
  16. By "All YouTubers," when were the videos posted you are referring to? The process has changed a few times. Most recent was a few months ago. It's a pretty straight forward process, I will attempt tomorrow to upload a "how to," but my setup isnt quite configured to produce quality content. That said. The key is to not revist any TOO program that you have set until you undesignate the tpod. Each TOO will immediately inherit the last target designated, this will update each time you designate. When you designate the final target, click undesignate. Once you undesignate, you can freely click around each station TOO at wil and see the different coords. Program both station TOOs before stepping. Also, it is important to remember wheb dropping the second JDAM from a station you must click the second TOO station. Otherwise, you will drop both bombs on the same target. Remember you arent programming each JDAM, you are simply proframming the station with two profiles. Its up to you to tell the JDAM which profile to use.
  17. Absoluty enjoying it. All of the activity on the deck is fantastic. Today I had the pleasure of someone playing LSO and guided me. I was on approach with fuel state 1.4 and he cleared me direct to base and final w/o a break, upon reaching short final the deck became foul, he made active callouts and finally announced clear about a quarter second before I was going to Go Around. It was great. Here is the video:
  18. Yeah. I made two approaches today, the first went well, but the second i was unable to get passed "see you at ten."
  19. I struggle getting the Mav F to lock the target designated in the tpod, even in OB. At this point I just use waypoint designate and slew the Mav to that area and pick targets up manually. Or mental note the area I did designate with the tpod and then undesignate and slew the Mav to that area.
  20. Is there a way to manipulate where "Spawn to Ramp" drops the aircraft? For me it always locks it to the position just behind Cat 1.instead of neatly in a parking spot along the edge of the ship. Couldnt find a tutorial that covered placing multiple spawn aircraft, they all seemed to just show placing static aircraft to fill the deck.
  21. No, depending on the circumstance you are givem a radio tree, it is titled in bold of your options. Now, if there was an option to choose, that would have alleviated my problems. So Im sure the server started under Case III and progress to case 1 by the time I arrived. Their were other aircraft succesfully getting the case 1 option, though, so that was unfortunate I got shafted with the bug.
  22. We werent going through a transition. Each attempt happened over the span of an hour and the weather remained unchanged throughout. They were doing case 1 the moment i logged in through the time I left. So a generic title along the lines of "Case1/3 Transitions" didnt seem relevant at the time. Thanks for the update.
  23. Every time i called in inbound, the marshal assigned me a case 1 recovery, yet the comms i could choose were for case 2 and 3. I was unable to report "see you at ten." Only "Established" and "Commence," neither did anything for me. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a work around i missed?
  24. I also drop an incredible amount of JDAMs and in the past have posted about a potential issue, but yesterday i had zero problems. Even on the server I had previously experienced most of my issues. Ill keep an eye out for anything funny, though.
