  1. Last I had seen in the sim, they had white lights. I just went and watched a more recent video and they were orange. :dunno:
  2. I was just going to post asking about this! THANK YOU! :worthy::thumbup: EDIT: I vote to make this a sticky.
  3. I haven't actually purchased any switches yet, so I didn't know that they were that hard to grab. Thanks for the info.
  4. Instead of using LEDs that shine their light straight up, you could try side-emitting LEDs like these: http://www.vishay.com/docs/83057/tlvg420.pdf
  5. Not quite the same shape as the others, but these fit the On-Off-(On) actuation. http://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/M2019LL1W01/360-2671-ND/1027457
  6. Ah, ok. Is that because there aren't really armored vehicles to defeat?
  7. Combat Mix is a mixture of armor piercing and high explosive ammunition in a 4:1 ratio, and is the real-world load for the A-10.
  8. At the very worst, a lightning strike would take out some avionics or an antenna. Most strikes result in only small burn marks that are easily repaired. The current just flows around the aircraft and continues on it's path to the cloud. EDIT: The above is true if the surface of the aircraft is conductive and the static dissipation system is working properly. Composite aircraft need special conductive paths built into the surface to not explode.
  9. Hopefully the reputation system can help weed out those that just want to cause trouble.
  10. Or you could go about it for free: http://www.faa.gov/regulations_policies/handbooks_manuals/
  11. Have you tried adding some weight to the side of the collective opposite the hinge to balance it out and make the bolt work?
  12. No problem. Good luck with your pit!:joystick:
  13. There are several people working with Arduino code and DCS. Gadroc is close to releasing code for the Leonardo to talk to Helios, as discussed in this thread: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=107156& And near the end of this thread, it is indicated that there are some other efforts working towards the same goal: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=100076 I'm sure that there are other builders on this board that have used Arduinos in their pits.
  14. I don't know anything about specific machines, but I do know that price tends to vary with complexity and setup time required. On the scale from kit to fully-built machine, the kits will be cheap, but require a lot of knowledge, time, and fiddling to yield acceptable results. A fully-built ready to cut machine will be much more expensive, likely in the thousands of US dollars.
  15. Good to hear it's still alive. I'm eagerly awaiting this one! :)
