  1. It seems to be focused on FC3. Still no fix to the multiplayer crash in A-10C caused by the 1.2.2 patch.
  2. The sim crashed every time while connected to the 104th server and I never touched the ladder. Screen just froze during startup and I needed to use the task manager to shut down DCS which was no longer responding. Is it possible that the missions on the 104th server need to be opened and saved in the ME to reflect changes made in this latest patch?
  3. I think you should be glad we're taking the time to post this information, beside some of us don 't have WinRar and would still like to help.
  4. Coff I know multiplayer is your top priorty, and I appreciate all that you do. Please be patient with us, it is not easy providing ED with the information you need to fix these problems. Most of us do not have the programing background that you have, and gathering the information you need is not an easy task.
  5. My interest and support of DCS was due to its work in developing hardcore realistic jet simulations, primarily American Jet aircraft. Your hard work at modeling complex aircraft systems and avionics is what drew my interest. I feel that DCS is getting out of hardcore aircraft simulation, and handing over aircraft development to 3rd party developers. As much as I am sure this will add to more aircraft availability, it can also be responsible for adding to the instability of a very complex aircraft simulator. Myself and many others have given a great deal of our time to help debug and support this sim, which has not been an easy task. The addition of 3rd party aircraft modules will make it almost impossible to add stability to a very complex enviroment. I'm asking ED to communicate how they see this process being incorporated into the this very complex enviroment, and to let us know whether they are going to continue to develope hardcore realistic jet aircraft with the same level of detail that was put into the A-10C? For all our hardwork and dedication, I think many of us would greatly appreciate your response to the future direction of DCS in regards to the development of hardcore realistic jet aircraft.
  6. It feels like I have been beta testing this product for many years now. I came to DCS for their dedication to developing hardcore realistic jet simulations. I know that this demands a great deal of processing and graphics power, but no matter what hardware I have upgraded to, I have always had FPS and stability problems. I have always supported EDs direction. Lately, I have grown confused about what direction they are moving. I feel like they have taken one step forward and two steps back. I still don't know if ED is working on another hardcore jet sim. DCS World has preformance problems and bugs similar to early versions of A-10, not to mention the multiplayer problems. I feel like ED is moving away from hardcore jet simulations to bring us DCS World. During this transition, I feel like ED should provides us with better communication regarding patch development and direction. Over the years they have demanded from us hard work indentify bugs, complex reporting of these bugs and infinite patiences. ED, all we are asking of you is no more than you have asked of us.
  7. I'm also getting a lower framerate since I switched over to DCS World 1.2. But the biggest problem are a lot of micro studders close to the ground and on takeoff, where it used to be smooth as butter. I am sure in time ED hopefully will work it out. There really isn't much faster hardware I can upgrade, so I'm going to have to put the whole DCS sim on hold for while. Is it possible that DCS and SLI don't play well and maybe it's time to get rid of my two GTX 590s?
  8. Last I read we were not keeping pace with Moore's Law due limitation of electrons moving through cooper at the speed of light.
  9. Since CPU clock speeds are at their limits now for silicon-based processors, how come ED is not trying to use the multiple cores built into CPUs. It would make sense that if your trying to create a new framework to rollout new aircraft now would be a good time to start building some multithreaded controls into the architecture to improve performance. CPU clock speeds have not really increased much over the last five years, only the number cores built into the processor. It would be nice to finally take advantage of that resource.
  10. I tried creating a new profile by pointing to the DCS World exe, but it did not seem to have any affect on the graphics settings. The cloud Flicker was a big problem that was brought on when using two video cards in SLI mode. I was able to get rid it in A-10C last year when I did a reinstall on DCS, but I can't seem to get rid of it in DCS World using the P-51. Bugs
  11. What file are we supposed to point to in order to create a Graphics Profile for the Nvidia Control Panel? I used to modify my graphics setting in the Nvidia Control under a profile that was automatically found called Blackshark. This seemed to handle changes for both A-10C and Blackshark. After installing DCS World I notice that Cloud Flickering has returned. I thought I was done messing with this problem. Can someone at ED let us know what file we need to point the Nvidia Control Panel to in order to create a profile for DCS World. Thanks, Bugs
  12. One thing I have notice that Rogue Runner so eloquently pointed out, is that we are creating some of our own Pilot Induced Oscillations (PIO) due to the fact that are reaction times are a little slower than what they would be in the actual aircraft. I do not have any actual flight time in Tail dragger type aircraft. But in other aircraft I have flown, I get fasters cues due to lateral g-loads and my peripheral vision that let me know when I start to drift away from runway centerline. In the P-51, I set my view a little further back so that I can get a sense of what it would be if I had peripheral vision. I also do not taxi onto the centerline. I taxi left or right of the centerline, or the upwind side so that I can still see the centerline on takeoff. This provides me with direct feedback so I can quickly determine when the aircraft starts to drift and make the appropriate corrections. Remember to decrease the size of your rudder inputs as the rudder becomes more effective, which is caused by the increases of airflow over the control surface. Smaller corrections are needed as the aircraft begins to accelerate down the runway: this reduces the need to over correct, which can cause Pilot Induced Oscillations. Learn how to keep the Ball in the center by watching the Ball in the Turn Coordinator and how to react with rudder on takeoff. At the beginning of the takeoff roll add power while holding the brakes to 30 inhg then release the brakes while gradually increasing power to 50 inhg on the takeoff roll. It help's to have some of that right rudder in before you release the brakes, I do use a little nose down and right wing down trim, but this will go away once I get a better feel for the aircraft at different Gross Weights. Hope this helps. Bugs
  13. Handling and flight dynamics feel the same, are you sure there were changes to the flight model? .
  14. Some of the best flying I seen yet. Now how are you at ACM:)
  15. Thanks Panzertard, I checked the list and it said it was completed that was why I posted :) (according to your list three asterisks means completed): "Oil Temperature, Fuel and Oil Pressure Gage ***" Sorry if I read that wrong.
  16. Oil tempture reading ambient temp after start and Oil Pressure reading almost zero. Funny A-10C had the same problem in beta. :)
  17. Same problem can't login into multiplayer. I have a active A-10C account that works fine.
  18. Got this error after I tried to install, not sure what it means or whether their is anything I can do. "A newer version of Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable has been detected on the machine."
  19. Will there be a download version that does not require Bit Torrenting software to download the file?
  20. Does ED offer a brief description regarding which connection speeds should be used for hosting? I am not sure why the only connection speeds offered in the Options menu are for Asymmetric Digital Scriber Lines (ADSL) and how that translates to Cable Modems. Is their any recommendation regarding connection speeds for the host and the client? Currently everyone is connecting at ADSL 1024 and I was wondering if it made more sense for the host to set his connection speed to ADSL 1024 and have clients set theirs to ADSL 512 in order to improve stability. We are getting a lot of random crashes in multiplayer with different missions and different hosts. Bugs
  21. I believe that every aircraft that DCS has shown us is a legend in it's own right. That you ED for what look's like another great ride. Best Regards, Bugs
  22. The system was not damaged. I just shutdown the aircraft to rearm and refuel and was unable to start it up again.
