  1. Hi guys. I am loving this apache so much but for some reason i can go from pilot seat to gunner seat but i cant get back to the pilot seat. I've tried binding it to another key and a Joystick button but still doesn't work. Any Ideas?
  2. It was on for me and I never turned it on. Never even knew it existed. Turning it off hasn't done away with the problem altogether but seems to happen less often.
  3. Cool, thanks for the detailed replies. i'll just stick with the 8600 for the moment, my wallet will thank me for it
  4. Thanks for the replies. I had worried that the 9900 might need a new MB also. It seems the 5600 has the best single core speeds but reviews vary. I have the 8600k OC'd to 4.7 and its doing pretty decent job but I'm always looking to improve the experience. I do have 32gb of 3200 ram so I dont think thats an issue. Might just wait and see.
  5. I just got a 3080 and now my bottleneck is my 8600k CPU. Which of these CPU's will give me the best VR performance in DCS.? They are roughly the same price now but obviously a new MB is required for the 5600x. Cheers
  6. I keep having this problem in the Dora. I have attached a trk of a simple takeoff in SP. This might not be a perfect example as the enigne failed at full power but I had reduced the power for a few seconds just before the failure. The report said "timing error caused engine failure" D9 engine failure track.trk
  7. Ah, known issue I take it then. Thanks
  8. has anyone else experienced multiple pitot/static icing problems on the Dora? I was on the storm of war server yesterday and was climbing up to the bombers and my airspeed kept climbing. I was indicating 600kph at 8000m. After I descended it cleared. Next sortie the same thing. All my CB's were in before you ask. Seems to happen a lot on the dora which seems ridiculous for a bomber interceptor!
  9. I have an i5 8600k processor. Will this bottleneck my system if I get a 2080ti to run a G2?
  10. I like many have spent what I consider a lot of money on WWII aircraft, maps and modules recently. I love the game but the bugs that seem to be dating back months or years in WWii planes are not being fixed. All the effort is going it seems to modern era. Like myself it seems on the WWII servers more of the players are older than the modern guys. This means we don't normally complain on forums etc, that doesn't mean we are not pissed off. We talk with our feet. These guys won't complain, they will just leave or stop buying dodgy modules. If the squeaky wheel gets the oil, then you are ignoring the quiet wheel that is going to collapse! There are so many bugs on the wwii forums most of which aren't even marked as reported. For crying out loud, answering the bug questions on the forum would be a tiny step.
  11. When you press the extend button for the flaps there is a motor noise. Sounds just like in the mustang. I thought the flaps were purely mechanical? Is this something else?
  12. Ok, thats concerning. If I can get 40-60 fps at medium to high settings I would be satisfied. Were you able to achieve this?
  13. I'm probably gonna get the Reverb G2 when it comes out. Will a 2070 super run it at a decent level or do I need to go for the 2080ti? Cheers
  14. It would be nice if they followed a fixed timeline and start say at the battle of britain. I'd be all for Spit mk I/II and hurricane VS Bf109 E2/4. Then they could work from there. They already have a channel map( which would need altering of course for the time period) my 2C's worth
  15. Ok. I have a bit more time on it now and realised the 47 can jink nicely and turn quickly but kills its energy doing so. Just a bit of patience is required. Thanks for all the replies!
  16. I'm just new to the K4. I have mixed feelings about it but I can manage a spit with speed and a 51 with turns but the 47 ssems to turn like a spit and has the speed of a 51. Can I ask whats your tactic against this overpowered beast?
  17. It's my understanding that when the sight on the spitfire is set to 300Yds and the base to 35ft the gap should be 1/3 of the reticule. In game though it seems like 1/4 if not less. For the convergence of 300yds you have to set the range to 200yds
  18. Exactly. And it would seem to be a very easy fix. The line of sight would be quite hard to fix but the 4000ft minimum fuse distance would be a few lines of code i'd imagine. IRL it also takes time to change the fuse range on a shell so large changes in altitude or distance to the flak should keep you safe but as we all know it doesn't in game.
  19. It's my understanding from research that the minimum fuse range for AAA was about 4000ft. So why in game do you get flaked while flying at treetop level or shot by flak at near point blank while staffing batteries? Apart from that, the shell fuse has to be adjusted manually before being loaded which means it would be a miracle to have the fuse set to the right range for an aircraft at low level due to the the high relative velocity. This would seem to be an easy fix, especially on the minimum range problem. A pilot should be rewarded for taking the risk of flying low. Sorry if this has been raised before
  20. I ran the engine pretty hard chasing down a K4, it never red lined. After killing him I brought it right back to 24 and 35 and rtb'd. 1 mile short of the rwy the engine seized. Is this normal?
