  1. Hi. I have not found a forum support section, so I'll post my question here. Is it possible to change my forum display name (Assamita) to the one in DCS? I know I can't do it myself, buy maybe a forum admin?
  2. Buenas.
  3. I bought almost everything for mine from Aliexpress
  4. Hi. I built myself some MPCDs for the Apache, and they are working very nicely. However, I noticed that the brightness knob does nothing to the output (it works normally in the main screen). Has anyone noticed this before? Picture for reference. In this one I had not done anything to the brigthness yet (as you can see in the main monitor):
  5. It's a bit late, but I've read somewhere that it's a 3º angle each one of them, so that would make them to be in an angle of 174º (180º would be totally flat panel). I'm also looking to build a cockpit, so I would love to have panel dimensions too. I guess knowing the size of the MPCDs you could actually extrapolate the aproximate panel size. For a game cockpit, I guess it doesn't need to be 100% accurate. If anyone could share the approximate left console panel dimensions, at least height and width. Or even better, share the panel files themselves, as I've seen in this post such a nice work by @RedskinMike and @Lobinjaevel. I already have a TEDAC, a Collective and the MPCD's are at 95%
  6. Hi guys. I'm working in the new project (after the TEDAC and the collective), and it's looking sexy!!! PCBs are on the way. The Pico 4 are there for size reference, but it's essentially 1:1. About 156mm high and wide (screen area)
  7. What's the screen size? May I ask you how you did the markings?
  8. Hi guys. I'm lightly upgrading my setup with better but still not top of the line components. Maybe in 2 or 3 years time I'll consider a full PC replacement, but for now I just want to some not-as-expensive upgrades. A couple of days ago I replaced my Ryzen 7 3800X for a 9 5900X (it was about 329€, the 5950X is still 520). I'm now planning to replace my 4x8GB RAM cards by a 2x32 kit. I know for RAM the lower CL number, the better, but also the higher the frequency the better too, so I'm debating between two Corsair Vengeance LPX kits. One is 3200 CL16 for 129€ and the other is 3600 CL18 for 149€. I assume, since the latter is more expensive, that it's better to have a higher frequency, even if it's at a cost of a slightly higher latency, but what are your thoughts about it? And then the next and biggest upgrade I'm considering at a short term period is the GPU. I do have an EVGA 3070 XC3 Ultra Gaming, which is not bad, but I do play in VR, so I could probably use more power, so I'm considering either a 3090, which I can find used for around 700-800€, from sellers with good reviews, or 4080 for about 1000-1100 also used. I lean more towards the first option, but I would also like to know your opinion. I know the 50 series is expected to come by late 2024, but I do not expect to replace the PC so early, so I might just skip this series and just do a full replacement of the PC for the next one. Thank you
  9. Hello @Hammer1-1 @Marshallman and @corbu1 Obviously, I cannot speak for alaindufour's builds, and they look nicer than mine's. Looks like his enclosures are either plastic injected molds or resin printed. Mine are simple FDM 3D prints so the finish look more DIY. Of course, if you have the time and very basic soldering skills, you can build your own following the instructions in my website: Ah 64d Tedac it's complete enough to build your own, and it has very minor bugs that have easy workarounds. I know of people that have already built their's following my instructions, or even just being inspired by them and modifying the build to their own needs. If you don't have the basic skills, or you just don't want to go through the hassle of building it, I'd be willing to have a conversation about selling mine. PM me if you're interested and you want me to show in depth what the two units that I currently have already built look like. Bear in mind that I live in Spain, so probably shipping to EU is reasonable. To America may be a bit expensive shipping. In any case, even with shipping costs, it's probably going to be a small fraction of what the commercial options will be. It will also not have the nice finish of a commercial product, of course. It's a DIY product built at my house, and if more than 2 people are interested, I will have to build them on demand, and lead times will be counted in weeks.
  10. Hi. In case anyone following this thread is not following the one I opened, here's an update to my build: I vouch for that. I only have an Ender 3, which is one of the most basic ones and very inexpensive, and I've more than paid for it with the amount of things I've done. I couldn't recommend it more.
  11. Hello everyone. Just wanted to let you know that, although I still need to do some more work in the website, the build instructions are complete enough to be able to actually build it. I might have missed something, in which case it will be helpful that people start to build theirs and if they miss any information, they can contact me and I will update the site. I know there are already several people working on it, which makes me very happy, and I've actually come to a couple of conclussions: In the near future, I might build some more of these to sell, for those who don't have a 3D printer or the skills to build it (or they think they don't because it's not a very complicated build), or simply prefer to pay to have it built. I'm still not doing it, so please don't contact me yet for that. I will put a "Store" section in the website or something like that and also announce it here when I'm ready to do it. I will probably start streaming in Twitch build videos also in the near future, as I do have some other DIY projects I think people might be interested in, such as the Apache collective or a battery powered track IR. I will also probably upload those streams (or a cut version) to youtube, for anyone to look at them at any point in time. Thank you everyone for your interest and your support. P.S.: I think this thread is more suited for the Inputs section. If any moderator sees this and agrees with me, please feel free to move it there.
  12. Ok, mistery solved (thanks @Kinkkujuustovoileipä). I was downloading the github source code, instead of the download link, which is clearly stated in the read me. That's what happens when things are done in a rush.
  13. That's weird, that's what I do to move it around: 2023-10-27 09-44-46.mkv
  14. Is there a mod's specific discord or you meant the ED discord? BTW, here's a VOD of the issue: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1958383015
  15. The pinout you can find it here: Virpil or Thrustmaster stick with winwing base pinout/cable : hotas (reddit.com) The thread is an M36x2. Someone already made a 3d print design: Warthog Stick threaded sleeve for winwing base by isotope_jx - Thingiverse
  16. If I uninstall Steam VR, it does not launch in VR, just in 2D. I've checked the shortcuts and looks like the double-dash was automatically added: "D:\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\bin-mt\DCS.exe" --force_enable_VR --force_OpenXR I tried downloading the OpenComposite and switched to it, with no difference. I have a Pico 4, connected wirelessly to the computer via Virtual Desktop Streamer. Could that be the problem? am I doomed to use Stream VR regardless?
  17. I don't have it yet, I thought it was not always needed. So you suggest to download OpenComposite and uninstall Steam VR?
  18. I just added the -force_enable_VR -force_OpenXR commands to both my ST and MT shortcuts, but it's still opening SteamVR. Am I doing something wrong? should I uninstall SteamVR?
  19. Yes I have. Even did a complete dcs repair (all files) before reinstalling it. And it's a non-modded version.
  20. Hi people. Since 2.9, my blackhawk mod is broken. Here's what happens: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1958383015 I've tried uninstall it and re-install it again. I have the latest 1.4 version. I've tried quick repair, MT and ST. I tried instant action, MP, fast mission. It's always the same. Anyone else experiencing the same? Any suggestions?
  21. I'm happy to announce that I've sorted out all the issues I was facing and I'm 99% sure it's now in working condition. I have to admit that I have been building more than playing lately, so I haven't given it a full test, but everything looks right. I'm now working on updating the page so anyone who wants can start working on it asap. I'll also try to upload a video to Youtube some day so I can showcase it.
