  1. WPT are not setup by the mission you select. They are preprogrammed to understand zones? Check out the Kneeboard section of the help guide...
  2. Hello. Currently new to this series so thank you for your efforts! Had a couple of stabs at it and it's fun so far. Appreciate the Syria edition. Question if I may: If adding my own aircraft I had the missions freeze up after adding additional slots. Testing this further i see i had to name the aircrafts a very specific way i believe. Is this a requirement? I see F18 were missing so was trying to add this and the Apache into the mix... I also assume we need to add it to all respective Airports, correct? Additionally we should NOT replace existing placements of client aircrafts? Thanks
  3. I be fair I have and watched a number of videos but what finally clicked for me was that the real thing uses a magnet hold/spring feature that was unclear to me in the real thing. Using the logic with my clutch system that where i leave me stick leaves the same result in game what's the point of the trim system? I get everything else about how trim works and how it repositions the center, but when it comes to a clutch system and i never saw the value until it finally was clear that the real system has a system controlled magnet system on its center trim position that the system fights with. Knowing this now makes it clear. I will also add that flying without the trim system worked for me but would ever so slightly have the heli slowly steer off trim where now practicing a bit last night i see a bit more stabilization. When it comes to the manual I usually refer to Chuck's guides and again it wasn't clear to me reading any of it that it works this way. It just explained what the trim system was doing which I already understood...which again was that it just recenters the center position of the stick but never went into depth about how the magnet system and FMC actually works. EDIT: And one last note about that other thread which I forget if it was Raptor or another ED member but there is so much back and forth and different points of what the system is doing maybe it just left me more confused than educated...
  4. Holy <profanity> it just clicked! Out of all the stuff I have read to date not one person has clearly mentioned that this is the way it works in real life! Knowing this now makes me rethink the whole setup and i now see why and how it works. So now knowing this I can see why some make actually prefer a spring setup over a clutch setup? At least for this module... I take this back, i can still see the benefit similar to a FFB stick...
  5. It's a system on joysticks that allow your stick to be left exactly where it is when you release your hands. It's like pulling the springs out of it but adding tension (brakes) to hold the stick in place. This is why I continue to be left confused on this topic. I'm sure those that are familiar with the system and use it are also frustrated by users like me asking these questions but if the trim is to tell the aircraft where the new center point is, how is that different then what the clutch system is doing? i guess that's why i keep getting stuck on having to trim when my stick is already in it's place and not being moved by force (spring for example)... I guess just to be clear, I can fly the thing pretty decently but I do find that it's extremely hard to keep it stable, I assume this is because of the SCAS/Trim system not being used by design... Thanks for the tip, I'll see if this gives me a bit more control.
  6. As a clutch user, this system really bothers me. I've read a lot on the trim system and this thread but continue to be unsure and frustrated how it works. Why can't we just have an option to disable this so that we don't have to worry about a trim system? Could this not be an option?
  7. Not sure if this helps solve the problem but i usually have him slow down to 40 before a full stop, and when i am coming to a full stop i ask him to increase altitude by some toward the very end. So far haven't had it happen using this method...
  8. Yea ditto with this problem. Never got it working. Will try the deadzone workaround but this sounds silly. I have no issues with the joystick controlling tads or anything else...
  9. Maybe I missed it but I don't see many posts on the Campaign that comes with the jet. The ones I have come across have their opinions but at the end of the day just trying to enjoy what was made and offered.. Anyways I was looking for some guidance on one of the missions which is M3? where we have do the reconnaissance of several Waypoints. I came across 1 post and funny enough it was about the same mission but in there it spoiled the answers to the mission. What I'd like to hear from you that played it is some guidance and tips on how to avoid the fighter jets while still managing the mission. The furthest I get is the first 2 waypoints and if I don't run away I get killed by the scramblers. In my latest attempted I actually managed to get away but because I provided the wrong intel I failed... I can't see how it's possible to manager all waypoints and not get caught by these super speedy jets. For the record yes I am entering the zone during the correct time although there seems to be a bug where description says 715 and mission time is set to 6
  10. Nice job guys. Really great job enhancing the existing software even further!
  11. Oh man, I thought the Hoggit reddit was bad but now i see it showing up here also... Deka, love your module and the work you put into it. Build your passion, ignore the haters. Leave politics out of it. At the end of the day it's a simulated game for gamers to enjoy. Keep things real (as good as the simulator allows) and your customers will be happy!
  12. I'm curious as i gave it a go last night. Do you plan to add voice overs? If so i may wait to play the polished verision :) Also when it comes to the opening scenes, i find it annoying to have to rewatch it multiple times when the mission is failed. Anyway to skip this?
  13. Ever since the July update i've been getting massive micro stutters. Tried everything in the books to clear it up without luck. At this point need to consider it's either DCS or nvidia drivers since i do see GPU spikes Here's some of what i tried to work through: - Removed all background processes + stoped windows anti-virus/malware - updated to different nvidia drivers (latest 2 drivers) - Added the following to autoconfig file options.graphics.maxfps = 60 disable_write_track = true no_device_hotplug = true - validated ram usage is under max (currently @ 75%) - both CPU and GPU usage (cpu = 25%) I do see spikes in GPU usage - removed scripts/mods to see if it helped remedy the issue Specs: TrackIR, i9 9900k, RTX 2070, 32GB ram, SSDs, T16000 + fanatec pedals for rudder input Observations: If i pause the mission the stutters go away and i get smooth trackir movement without stutters. Unpause and stutters resume. I also noticed this occurs in heavier missions. If i load a very basic mission with little to no AI seems to run smooth. AVG FPS is around 50-90 FPS but i've attempted to cap @ 60 recently without benefit
  14. You do realize his version is a different one built off the one posted here right? It's not the same OP
