  1. Recentering the TGP will "unwind" the camera and fix the Gimball Roll. I don't have the keybinding list in front of me but I believe it is a left short on either the TMS or China Hat. I'll check when I get home if no one jumps in with the exact command.
  2. Alex, is there a difference between adjusting the FOV in the SnapViewsDefault.lua file and pressing the Num / key to zoom out? The reason I ask is that if I adjust the SnapViewsDefault.lua file to get the FOV I want, then looking around the cockpit with TrackIR works fine. If I start with the default view and zoom out (similar to what this new zoom out feature is doing) then look around, the cockpit gets this kind of warped effect almost as if my head is still pivoting around the original point it started before the zoom. In the next DCS title, it would be nice to have an option in the video settings where it displays a picture of the cockpit with an adjustable field of view slider. It would know based on your resolution if you had a 4:3 or 16:9 screen and give you instant feedback as to what your view will look like.
  3. I prefer the Shooting Gallery mission for training. It lets you practice your ramp starts, plus gives you a good variety of weapons to use without the risk of being blown out of the sky by AAA or SAMs. (It also includes the JTAC)
  4. For the same reason RL race drivers use simulations...practice!
  5. Yes, the throttle off to idle does work on the TM Warthog. If you are looking to choose between that and the x65, I would say you will be much happier with the TM Warthog.
  6. Did you use the Saitek Profile Editor to create the profile? If so, then you do not need to put it in the game. Just activate the profile before you launch. Also, if you are using the external profile, make sure you clear all of your ingame assignments (except for the axis assignments) in order to avoid any conflicts.
  7. I can't answer your other questions but the latest news on the Thrustmaster Hotas is that it will be $499 USD and is expected to ship on Oct 30th.
  8. Here is a quote from one of GA's earlier posts:
  9. If you haven't done so already, check out Matt's video's on YouTube (search for "wagmatt") . He created an excellent series of Producers Notes covering almost all aspects of the BlackShark.
  10. This is an existing issue with the engine and is also present in Flaming Cliffs which is why they went to recorded videos in FC2. The recorded track files are specific to the version they were recorded on and will not work correctly in the later versions. The good news is that I believe Matt has said that there will be an entirely new training module in DCS A-10C.
  11. Same here, although only on single player. Running as admin did the trick.
  12. Also, you might want to consider the 64-bit version of Windows 7 depending on how much RAM you have.
