Have a look in the game crash section - I posts a link to fix there. It consists of manually installing the previous oculus patch files. Works for me and a bunch of others.

Yes and you need to ensure you have no occulus functions running by closing them down in task manager before copying the files across. -
Crash at 15 Year Splash Screen in VR and pancake
WinOrLose replied to WinOrLose's topic in Game Crash
As my post in one of the other threads this fixed it for me. -
This chap saved his pre-update oculus files which if you use to overwrite the upgraded files fixes the problem.

Crash at 15 Year Splash Screen in VR and pancake
WinOrLose replied to WinOrLose's topic in Game Crash
Thanks - I have had a read and implemented the ones I can but I don't use steam or virtual desktop which appear to be the main solutions. Doesn't explain pancake crash though. Regards -
Game was working fine a week ago and there have been two alterations since then. Quest update to ver 63 (which appears to be creating all sorts of issues in VR). New graphics card. I had assumed it was just the Quest software update causing the problems but this doesn't explain the failure to load in pancake? I'm not sure how upgrading from a 3080ti to a 4080 super could be the cause of the issues? log attached. Thanks in advance for any help. dcs.log

Thanks - I will give that a try. Unfortunately still doesn't work. I tried launching the game in flat mode and am also getting the crash. I have installed a new graphics card recently as well as the Oculus update, it could be just a coincidence but its difficult to isolate with the quest software being a known issue. The crash in pancake mode though makes me think it could be something else?

Thanks not on steam and dont use VD so wait for the next update looks like the fix. Thanks for trying to help anyway.

Cheers - reading a few posts it looks like there is no fix and I need to wait for a DCS hot fix?

V62 on headset and V63 on computer. I dont get to the splash screen.

I'm still on 62 and I mine still crashes? Beta turned off as well.

This is a first world problem, there are far greater issues going on in the world than to worry about a delay in a module. just use the time time to read up on the various manuals available.

Will the USN/USMC version be a separate module?
WinOrLose replied to Chewmann's topic in DCS: F-4 Phantom
I too would prefer the navy version, purely as the boat adds another dimension and requires a bit more skill than field landings. After-all this is the 60/70’s and real men fly Navy . Still pre-ordered the E though . -
Watched this a few days ago - a little cringey but a few decent snippets.
-
I'm a navy fan as well, but you would learn the jet at a shore base before moving to the carrier so just "pretend" its a navy version during shore training. I'm sure someone will produce some navy skins.

I’m hoping a couple of years studying and flying the tomcat will help.

Do we know which block no we will be getting?

Anyone planning any Phantom squadrons to learn and fly this amazing plane?

Some great stuff - thanks. You mentioned Air to ground - this is a worthwhile watch -
Hi - kind of linked to this thread. What is the radar elevation control called. I may have missed it but didn’t see anything obvious in the commands list. thanks.

I set my textures down a notch, didn’t really spoil my visual experience, however ram usage, according to task manager, dropped 75%. butter smooth and no stutters. Hind on Enigma.

Thanks for the response - pretty sure it was the excel sheet. I'm flying the 21 infrequently but will find some time over the weekend to test. Regards.
