  1. I didn't have this issue, you are briefed to fly slightly left and in front of the S3, this means you need to leave some space between your formation and the Tron guys. If you see where the other Sledge F18 are, you will see what it's meant, you can leave quite some space between you and the S3.
  2. Same happening here, two tries and both with thunderstorm call. I flown at 600R all the way so I'm sure nothing picked me up. SEA radar on the side to check but I haven't overfly anything that moves and can find me. I did the fuel dump sign and kept radar to OFF all the time until passing WPT3. Noticed the same with Sledge flight, after WPT3 they accelerate, do a 360 and then rejoin formation...can it be for them?
  3. Thanks! Makes sense for the other PP slots, the issue I wanted to raise up is that PP mode does not accept 0 as a valid elevation. In the track you can see that if I set elevation to 1 foot everything works (PP not crossed). If I set elevation to 0 it shows as invalid.
  4. Ok, I created a track file. Issue is true for any JDAM bomb, multiple or single rack. JDAM Test.trk
  5. Great pocket reference! Thanks for the amazing effort! It's my go-to reference for the F-18!
  6. To provide more info, if needed, I tried to hit all targets also with TOO mode being sure I was hitting all targets, I even tried to come back with the gun to wipe whatever was left. Still the score was only 70. I also checked the log at the end of the mission and it says all boats are dead (from A to F). If I check the logbook it says score 70 and "ag kills" value is set to zero, while it says the correct value for previous missions. I'm assuming my targets are the one on the two piers as in the mission briefing, even if all the speedboats seem to be on the westernmost pier only.
  7. Hi, I don't have a track but it's an easy bug to reproduce. When using JDAM in PP mode, if you set elevation of the target to zero it does not consider valid the target position/elevation and PP1-4 remains crossed in the MSN page. Tried multiple time on boats in an harbour (Raven One mission 10 as an example) but the only solution is to set 1 feet as elevation and then PP mode "unlocks".
  8. Hi, Got to mission 10 and just finished it. Scored 70 so I went to check TacView track to see where I missed something. All my JDAMs hit the correct target and all the boats with "Flip's target" label have been destroyed. No option to AAR on the way back to the ship so I assume that is not the issue (I've seen some older threads about it). Only thing coming to my mind is that I tookoff just after Cajun, not waiting for Hammer 1-2 to launch before me, is that a requirement for 100? If not, anyone know what are the objectives to hit 100? @baltic_dragon sorry for raising so many question lately about R1 missions, deeply enjoing the campaign and learning a lot! I just want to be sure I'm not missing any important bit of the storyline! Thanks!
  9. Yeah, don't quote me on this but it looks like he needs to disappear as red and re-spawn as friendly from some position to the east of WPT3. Not sure how this exactly works but after he called Joker he flown to the East and I let him go. At the same time I climbed 28K and orbited WPT3. After some time he respawned as friendly and mission continued. I found similar reports from some months ago and they were fixed, I wonder if some DCS update broke something...
  10. I had the same issue popping up lately. I used the CBU before in both AUTO and CCIP modes successfully, I thought as well it was an issue with my operation. Flown a Raven One mission where you have to drop a Rockeye over a target and it fell far away from where I was aiming. Can it be an issue with a later update? If it happens again I'll drop a .trk file as well.
  11. Hey, I played the exact same mission yesterday and it worked. After the other two Ravens are called to skip, you are given another intercept call for a bogey and then they ask you to let them know when you have them on radar. Maybe you missed the call!
  12. Hey, I think ED corrected the TDC beheaviour during the last few updates. The TDC cursor should appear only when the relevant display is selected with the SCS. That's why when you switch to the targeting pod the cursor in the SA page disappears. If you think about it is the same as when you select/deselect the radar DDI, the cursor appears and disappears. My way of doing it right now is by selecting the waypoint relevant to the bullseye, set the radial with the CRS switch and then move the pod at the close to correct distance. Then you fine tune with the targeting pod itself. About the rings, same, I don't see any but I'm not sure if they are supposed to be seen. And if you mean the only waypoint with the big number is the bullseye yes, that is correct. The other waypoints are displayed as small circle with a dot inside once you select the WPT OBS and select the relevant one with the arrows. Hope it helps!
  13. Hey, Just played mission 6 as well. About point 1, I don't think Mother is supposed to arrive at WPT4 at 0800. I think the idea is that you have to plan your flight to be able to arrive at Mother at 0800. I used quick mental math and the TCN distance and it honestly works well. I think I left WPT3 exactly at 0753 and then flown pretty much at 350IAS cutting the WPT3 corner short by couple of miles. I think WPT4 is there mainly for you after the pass to contact Marshal and start the recovery to the ship.
  14. Hi, I had couple of issues in Mission 5 with the Prince AI after the fight, found a possible workaround for that so I thought was a good idea to write it here. Don't know if the last Open Beta update messed up the AI but had to fly the mission three times. 1) Started the fight, hit Prince 3 times, he calls Joker and proceeds to remain Red, fly at stall speed with full afterburner around 2000/3000 feet. 2) Second time I call joker, he calls for the climb to 28K but remains Red and when I stay on his six he takes evasive manouvers while levelled at 28K. Flown behind him for 10 mins then restarted. 3) This time like the first he calls Joker, I climb myself to 28K and orbit around WPT3 leaving him alone (he flies away and disappears few times). After few minutes he reappears as friendly and I can finally continue with the mission. Might be an useful workaround if anyone has the same issue. Loved the mission, I managed to escape the SU33, no idea how after watching the TacView track ...
  15. Hi guys, I played DCS for few years now but started being active in the forums only lately. Started long time ago with the A-10C first version then proceeded to the SU25T, F-5, L-39 and finally with the F-18C that I'm enjoying a lot right now. Slowly learning a lot of new stuff, terminology and flying profiles. Always been a avid user of "civs" simulators since FS2000 but ended up with DCS pretty much all the time. Playing Raven One at the moment and loving it. I'm italian (really looking forward to the MB339...) and working in aviation but nowhere near jet fighters...I really enjoy flying in any form and shape. I'm also into cars and motorsport (F1) a lot. See you soon around the virtual skies!!
