I haven't tried this myself but the manual says on pg 117: Perhaps you need to use the radio communications menu with the R-828 tuned and in "VOICE/СВЯЗЬ" mode to request enabling the homing beacon first?

Just fired up the Mi-8 after today's update to Open Beta to do some refamiliarization and noticed my "Battery" switch bindings weren't turning on the battery switches. After manually clearing and re-binding I noticed that "Battery 1 switch ON/OFF" controlled the in-cockpit rectifier 3 switch whereas "Battery 2 switch ON/OFF" controlled the battery 1 switch. Did a new control ID get added or something and skew what these bindings mean by one?
