I am building a carrier mission and want to use the F-14 Tomcat, but the type menu does not list the F-14. Why is that? Do I need to use a specific carrier or a specific map? Only six carriers are listed and available. The Vinson, Roosevelt, Lincoln, Washington, Stennis and Truman. I have the F-14 and the Supercarrier, but I am unable to build a mission where the F-14 is Cold and Dark.

Hi. I am looking for a mission for the F-14 that requires a cold and dark start on a carrier with a full crew. I have used one with the F-18, but have not been able to find one for the F-14. Does one exist? If so, could someone please tell me were to find it. Thanks

I had the DCS resolution set at 2560×1440. As to why they were different, frankly I just did not know they were different. I had been trying the suggestions presented in the forum for the past two months with no success and did not realize the res was different. As far as I am concerned, the issue has been resolved in my case.

Like so many others, I have experienced many crashes and failures of DCS World since the introduction of Beta 2.7. However, I have discovered that if I change the program’s resolution to match my screen resolution, 3440×1440, the program runs without failure. I have run 14 different aircraft and the Supercarrier with various terrains, and I have yet to experience a single problem so far. Now I do not mean to imply that this is everyone’s solution, but if your screen and program resolutions are not the same, this may be a potential cause of your crashes. It is worth a try. Good Luck.

I could not download the F-14 from the Module Manager because the listed aircraft are for purchase only and the F-14 is not listed since I already own it. However, I was able to fix the problem. For anyone interested in how I was able to do it, here is the solution. First, I tried making a copy of the F-14 from the Stable version and paste it to the Open Beta version. That did not work. I received a message that the aircraft was not authorized. Next, I ran the DCS repair function, which ran for more than 6 hours, and it worked.

Hi, This may not be the to right place, but I don't know where else to turn. I accidentally deleted my F-14 aircraft and I don't know what I have to do to get it replaced. Would someone please point me in the right direction. Thanks.

Hi. I have the Super carrier and the F-18C, but for the life of me I can not figure out how to get them together. If I try instant action, there is no option to launch from the carrier. I am missing something, but I do not know what it is. Would someone please help me? Thanks

Hi, I understand the method for steering the Mustang, but I can not get the aircraft to turn to the right. All it will do is make left hand circles. The tail wheel only turns in one direction. Yes, I have the control wheel forward to unlock the tail wheel. When I check the rudder movement, It is operating okay. Is there a problem with the app not recognizing the control input? Doe any one have a solution? Thanks for any advise and help.

Thanks for all the informative replies. I believe that I may have determined the cause. I was not cognizant of the fact that there are Neutral bases as well as Red and Blue ones. (I am new to DCS and learning) I can not get ground service when parked on the ramp of a neutral base. As soon as I switched to a Blue base, I was able to get the fuel and arms I requested.

Hi, I am sitting on the ramp at a friendly base, with engine off and canopy open. I am unable to get the P-51 rearmed using either LAlt+ “ ’ ” or “\” commands. I make the request but there is no response. If the issue has something to do with a radio, I do not know what to do. There is a phone with a series of frequencies, but I have no idea which one I need. Also, there is a radio with a series of channels, but again I have no idea which one I am to use. I have searched the internet and the DCS forms, but could not find an answer to my specific issue. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks in advance

Problem solved. I ran the DCS updater and repair for the Stable version and the Nevada texture is now installed. Thanks to all who helped with suggestions.

Thanks for your reply. That is my point. The Module Manager does not list the Nevada terrain for installation. It was in the Beta version and I was able to install it, but not the Stable version. When I check the installed terrain list, only the Caucasus is listed. How do I get DCS to make it available for installation? Thanks.

Yes, I own the SC. It is installed and appears on the installed list. However it will not show up when I click on a Mission. That is why I am asking if I need to own either the F/A-18 or the F-14 for the carrier to be available.

I am not getting the Supercarrier in Mission play. I have two questions: Firstly, if I purchase either the F/A-18 or the F-14, will that solve the problem? Secondly, I have both the Open Beta and the Stable versions installed on my PC. If I buy either of the above aircraft's, will I be able to install it in both versions of DCS World? If so, how is that done? Thanks.
