  1. Thanks for the tips, all. I want to leave Oculus installed due to some Oculus Store stuff I've purchased over the years that I'd like to keep going via ReVive. Sounds like stopping the Oculus service is the way to go there. The whole having to deal with WMR and SteamVR settings on top of game settings sounds like it's going to be really annoying.
  2. So for those of us coming from the Oculus Rift S ecosystem, any pointers to setup tips on things we should adjust for the G2 for DCS and VR gaming in general? SteamVR resolution, sim VR settings, etc?
  3. Anyone seen any updated previews of production hardware, or heard buzz on when Connection will start shipping to USA customers?
  4. How long does it take miles to show up? Just bought the P-47D and not seeing the miles yet.
  5. The Oculus Link beta is available now, but just for Nvidia GPUs at the moment. I'll be interested to hear how it compares to the Rift S. https://www.oculus.com/blog/play-rift-content-on-quest-with-oculus-link-available-now-in-beta/
  6. I'm intrigued, but I'll be anxiously awaiting frame rate reports with the high resolution of the visuals on the Reverb. Had it preordered at Amazon but cancelled and will patiently await you guys being guinea pigs. ;)
  7. Got my Rift S from Amazon today and tried it with DCS as well as most of the other current sims. As mentioned above, it's definitely a worthwhile update from the Rift CV1. I cancelled my HP Reverb pre-order because the panel clarity with the Rift S is now quite good in all the sims I fly, and I can't imagine that driving the higher resolution of the Reverb isn't going to be really taxing on the system. Posted a bunch of sim-focused impressions of the Rift S on my my blog.
  8. Would LOVE to see a Skyhawk. Need one for the Falklands map anyway... :)
  9. I got 2.1 fine this afternoon, but there's no Normany anywhere in the user interface to download. (USA)
  10. Is there a way to toggle VR off in the current version short of unplugging the Oculus? I'd like to run on the main screen while setting up some controller configs for various planes, and then re-enable VR.
  11. When I went to do a fresh install of the DCS 2.0 Alpha, I got the "Install Modules" pop-up that lets you install all of the modules you've already purchased in one step. However, I'd forgotten to reinstall Black Shark 1, so it gave me an error stating that and aborted. Now when I relaunch the DCS 2.0 Alpha, it lets me install each module individually, but I can't find a way to trigger the "install everything I own" dialog again. Given that I've purchased all except about 2 or 3 DCS add-ons, I'd really hate to have to slog through each module install manually. Is there any way to get that "install all modules" dialog to come back up again? Thanks!
  12. Thanks, Nate! Just curious, why might I want to keep Black Shark/LOMAC around?
  13. I rebuilt my system around Windows 8 and need to reinstall DCS from scratch. I bought the programs when they were stand-alone (A-10, Black Shark 1, etc.) and I understand they're now modules for DCS World. No problems there. But what I'm curious about are Black Shark 2, which I bought the upgrade version of, and the Flaming Cliffs 3 beta. 1) Do I need to install the original Black Shark first? 2) Can I delete Black Shark after installing Black Shark 2? 3) I'm assuming you still have to install LOMAC before Flaming Cliffs 3. Can you delete LOMAC after installing FC3, since FC3 is now a DCS module?
