  1. I wish we had a HUD recorder built in the DCS: A-10C.
  2. Not possible. You can't release guided munitions with CCIP. There's probably some technical reasons why this is not possible. Also, why would you want to?
  3. They both have the same key, but you can import the one from Digitalcombatsimulator.com to Steam. You can however use the Steam key with the Digitalcombatsimulator.com download. Buying the game straight from ED gives a larger share of the price and there have been delays on Steam patches of the game so I would say you are better off with the Digitalcombatsiumulator.com download.
  4. Latch on/off and auto-lase have nothing to do with each other, they are two different modes of lasing. With auto-lase, you need to set auto lase on and lase time in the DSMS weapons profile for the weapon. When you drop a bomb with auto-lase the laser will activate at the set time before impact. Just make sure you selected the correct weapon profile as using DSMS to select the weapon by store will create a new blank profile. With manual lasing you should lase 8-12 before impact by holding the NWS or using it as on/off button with latch on/off set to on in the TGP ctrl page. EDIT: Slow :(
  5. My landing gear was broken from battle damage and I couldn't roll off the runway and I was fine for rearm + refuel + repairs.
  6. Little OT: OP, please stop using any additional text decoration or different fonts. Thanks.
  7. You might want your GFX card with 2 GB memory for 3 monitors.
  8. It sounds like you have a good pc rig there. I would highly recommend updating to 64bit W7 if there aren't any apparent issues with updating like really old software or hardware that you must run.
  9. Can't you set their ROE so that they will not engage anything?
  10. Hardcover (and paperback) also @ The Book Depository http://www.bookdepository.com/Fire-Strike-79-Paul-Grahame/9780091938062
  11. Nice vids again jpm1. Thanks for sharing!
  12. I'm a tiny bit off topic here. I would like to know if the patching system that ED uses is able to change just the changed bits of the files or does it have to replace the whole file? I mean, the patch sizes so far have been quite huge and got me thinking if there are really 2 GB worth of changes? EVE Online uses a patching system that only changes parts of the files that have changed. This also allows them to run a "repair tool" that downloads a file index from their server, check your local data against the index and repairs what is needed. A bit like a torrent file can download corrupted bits off a download. This saves you from downloading the whole game again if one file breaks. The repair tool will also patch any old versions of your client if ran on outdated client. TLDR: If you only change 2 MB off a 2 GB file, users shouldn't have to download the whole file again. I'm not sure if this is already done or not, I just noted that the patches have been oddly large.
  13. MAC address and RAM amount both have oddly high point values.
  14. Installing. The German FTP mirror was nice and fast @ ~3-5 MB/s.
  15. As Frostiken said, protection will always weight more than a weapon that is capable of destroying that protection. The active protection system seems like a great way to defend the tank against RPG's, AGM's and kinetic weapons like tank sabot rounds, but it won't defend the tank against a burst of 30mm fire. Also, you don't always have to completely destroy the tank. A burst of 30mm fire from a A-10C will probably destroy any equipment outside the tank. Like the APS, TIS, GPS, laser, etc. making the tank ineffective in combat.
