  1. The weapons are sufficient. You need to go down there, pre-flare and drop them in the PRI mode. For the VT you need a very specific drop angles to be effective. Check my walkthrough video. There are Timestamps in the video.
  2. Hello guys, I would like to share with you my walkthrough videos. I really enjoyed the campaingn. I think it's one best campaign what we have in DCS so I put that effort and tried to maximized my score (lost 24 points over the campain). I hope you will have better luck. I case you are strugling with any of the mission I hope these videos will help you. Good luck
  3. LOL OK, it makes sense now. Thank you so much. You are legend I feel like a , but at least learned something new.
  4. Thank you. I will try it. Any idea why the argument 285 is so tricky?
  5. Solved it via "X: COCKPIT INDICATION TEXT IS EQUAL TO ", but if the change is so fast, the indication (HUD) cannot catch your value (u can use more values). However, in the racetrack precision flying practice (that was the original purpose) do not expect such a big deviations. And the trigger react to the altimeter setting too.
  6. Thank you for that hint, but I want to have the value of the altitude value will be connected with the pilot not with the game. What I want, is a simple read from the altimeter in the cockpit. I tried you method. E.g. I set this value to 1600m = 5249ft . The trigger starts at the 5249ft but you need to check this via the F2 view (Game altitude). In cockpit @32C and 2992inHG you will see 5180ft or @32C and 3001inHG=5260ft. So this trigger "UNIT'S ALTITUDE HIGHER THA" is weather independent and I need the opposite. I want that the outcome will depend on how you set your altimeter. I twitched the coefficient (0.117) to match my altitude but it still something happening behind. The trigger above is not simple reading the altimeter. If you increase the altitude value by increasing the altimeter pressure, the trigger will not start in the desired altitude and it's moved by the altimeter setting. BTW I was surprised that the function between (0-0.117)is not even linear. Eg. For 3000ft @15C and 2992inHG you would expect 0.045ish but it's 2700ft=0.0065 and 3300ft=0.0187 I still try to figure it out, how it's work
  7. Hello guys, I try to set an altitude dependent trigger. I Found it, set it, it works, but I obviously missing something because the trigger is not activating at 5000 but at 7750. The temperature is 15C and altimeter 2992. Any hints what I'm missing? Thanks null
  8. Hello @baltic_dragon, could you please clarify the position of the "WIZARDS" IP for this mission? This IP is not mentioned nowhere in the novel or the mission brief however BOWSER reference to it several times. I was able to find it in mission planer (near WP:89A) but: The JTAC (BOWSER) says, in the campaign, the target position HDG: 328, 6.7 but the target's position is more or less at the position how the novel describes it: HDG 075, 6.4 from the "WIZARDS" point placed in the mission planer. I know we can live without it or just ignore it but when I first time flew this mission this was very confusing. I believe clarifying this in brief or in "Designer notes" will help players in the future. Thank you RoGaR
  9. Yes, I did it in this way. Everything is fine, I made all the calls I landed, mission completed, but there is no KISS OFF call in this time, there is a CASE III Recovery and there is no pop-up menu. Maybe this feature is not there at all, I'm just asking. But this AI behavior make me worry because Smoke is flying next to me + I see him in the SA page so I don't know what the AI will do.
  10. Hey, I would like to join to this conversation too. I try again the campaign but this time try to get 100 for each mission. I just realized that on the way back there is no further communication. Are these the last lines of the dialog in this mission? I switched to BTN4 in prime, but it's called MOTHER in the kneeboard. Is it correct? I don't heard more dialogues from this point. Smoke also fly a formation with me all the way to the ship. Is it OK or I missed some trigger somewhere? Thank you
  11. Maybe just an extra note. In all your calculation above you consider 800m (maximum distance in the gunsight) however in each briefing there is "Enter the minimum distance to the gunsight" which is 100m. What works for 60m diameter and max distance 800m: Target base 33° for 20° dive angle or target base 40° for 30° dive angle. So the formula from the manual works. This is how it looks like: I My other note is about using GYRO sight for the attack which is also in the briefing. Is it used IRL? If I use it, I'm hunting the target all over the place.
  12. Hey everyone. We all know that delivering weapons with the Albatros is about good visual references but everyone use different settings. TrackIR, VR, DCS camera position, FOV etc... All these aspects have impact to your references. If you try to check some YT videos, everyone use different one. You can learn how to drop the weapons but if you try it in your own with same references it does not work. So I created this mission: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3320202/ This mission will help you to improve your rocket delivery with the L-39. Improve your muscle memory and helps to find YOUR references. There is a guidance in the brief as well. You can find several slots in this mission 20degReference – The mission will start in ACTIVE PAUSE – Check the visual references for YOUR setup. This position ensures 20° dive angle 30degReference – The mission will start in ACTIVE PAUSE – Check the visual references for YOUR setup. This position ensures 30° dive angle Training20deg – You are in the right position for 20° attack. Keep your aircraft on proper speed and altitude and continue in this heading. The GREEN SMOKE indicates the approximate position of the proper turn-in, but you will get sound notification as well. Training30deg – You are in the right position for 30° attack. Keep your aircraft on proper speed and altitude and continue in this heading. The GREEN SMOKE indicates the approximate position of the proper turn-in, but you will get sound notification as well. TrainingPopUP - You are in the right position for POP-UP attack. Keep your aircraft on proper speed and altitude and continue in this heading. When the ORAGNE SMOKE is lined up with the target, it’s time to Pop-Up TrainingRaceTrack – You are in the right position to practice RACE-TRACK attack. Keep your aircraft on proper speed and altitude and continue in this heading. The BLUE SMOKE indicates the approximate heading before the first turn. It helps you to start at the downwind and you do not have to fly over the target first. White Smoke – Target Area I recommend this gunsight Setup: Depression: 1,53°, Target Base: minimum, Shooting Distance: Maximum You can also try: Target base 33° for 20° dive or Target base 40° for 30° dive. The delivery parameters should be as follows: NOTE: There is a sound notification for Training20deg and Training30deg if you are in the proper position to turn in. There is a sound notification for Training20deg; Training30deg; TrainingPopUP and TrainingRaceTrack if you are in the proper altitude to fire (It’s is actually set to +40m higher, but considering the normal human response time you will be right on place) You can also check my video. It’s in Czech language but there are demonstrations how to provide the attacks at 20:04 - 20° attack, 25:54 - 30°attack, 37:50 - POP-UP, 46:06 - RaceTrack https://youtu.be/Xy8dyK_lUXU ADDED: The mission is set with 0 m/s wind, however, if you try to set the wind in the mission, here is the table for deflection angles for wind corrections:
  13. Source: http://www.cs-letectvi.cz/imatrikulace/index.php?pocet=250&zobrazit=vse&radit=typ&stranka=23&pismeno=vse Or you can check the official YT page of Czech Ministri of Defense, there is a lot of L-39 footage: Check these (The boart numbers are in the second column from left):
  14. +1 Looking for his solution as well. I try to create something similar, but I cannot find the S-5KO (for L-39 Albatros) rocket at any of the list. Any ideas how to find them?
