Hi @Reflected this same thing has just happened to me on hop 7. I have replayed this campaign multiple times and select missions countless times and its never happened before. He did fly a beautiful formation into the ground though. Anyway I guess this bug isn't fixed.

Hi @Reflected, I saw the message but I meant on the kneecard or during start up for during the transit too and from rather than on the range. I explained it poorly but I meant it felt strange not having something tuned in on the front.

Hi @Reflected, just finished a random mission (sortie 7) following your recent update and it is so SO awesome! Really immersive and different from the other times I have flown it. I have already flown this campaign multiple times but now with this I can see me doing it weekly! The combination of this and speed and angels and my ability in the Tomcat has increased in leaps and bounds! The only small tweak I would maybe suggest is in the blurb somewhere suggesting which radios the front seat should use now Jester does the Lionshare. It's not a huge thing but to and from the range I felt like I should be on something like guard or TAC even if no comms ever come up, just to give the immersion another step. Anyway a huge thank you! You continue to raise the bar. Ps. I hope your leg is better.

Hey @eLgargantuan did you do a quick start up or full one? At the start the ship turns, If Jester starts the alignment during the turn it will whack out the alignment. If you do a full start up or wait till the turn is finished then you will find mother at the end.

Hey @Reflected, I'm sure this typo has probably been picked up before but I can't find it in the forum so just in case. Documentation for mission 12 has Paco briefing sqn comms on button 14, kneeboard in the brief has comms on button 13.

I'm certain it's something simple I'm missing and that I have got the wrong end of the stick somewhere. @Hulkbust44 i understood that the elevation is in part associated with the bar setting and I have no issues using the cursor to manually search a specific bit of sky. is there something else im missing? I set up a test in active pause where I had aircraft at the same alt and stepped 1,000, 5,000, 7,000 & 10,000 above and below my aircraft to try and find so it shouldnt matter at the moment but still no joy. @rob10 yes the line is sweeping. im not certain what you mean by the numbers to the right of the tdc bar so maybe thats it? The only numbers i can think of on the right is the scale but i will have a look this evening.

So let me start by saying I'm used to flying the Tomcat, normally I just ask Jester if I'm uncertain but decided to update recently and I'm really missing my RIO. My issue is for love nor money I can't get my radar working properly. I've watched countless vids, read the manual and understand the theory from the tomcat but I can't find a soul if they aren't on datalink. I'm using TWS, hi mode outside 25miles, mid when within. 4 bar & 40 degree. I have auto IFF on and selecting the correct mfd to move the cursor/lock on etc. I can set up my bullseye and have done a couple of active pause trials trying to track aircraft flying different patterns, but can I find them? Can I buggery! I'm certain it's me, I'm certain it's something simple but can anyone help? Or should I just go back to my old faithful Tomcat and be the stickmonkey I was born to be. All the vids start with the returns already appearing so they are of limited help. It feels like the radar is on standby but I've done the switches as per the manual. Help anyone please.

I flew it again tonight to check and it worked. I had to wait 6mins 40secs according to my watch. Flew a circuit within 10 miles of WP4 staying on the seaward side of it to ensure i didn't encroach Waterloo Red. I don't know what to suggest? I completely ignored his departure and just kept drilling holes in the sky. Didn't do F10 or even external. Just sat and waited. My timing started from him breaking out of formation I should add.

I flew this last night without issue. It did take a while for him to reach the correct distance but it did work. Out of interest few nights ago when I tried I strayed too far from WP4 and it didn't work. This time I kept a fairly tight turn, maybe 35-40 degrees of bank and had no issues.

Right, so with the current sale I have bought both the Raven One campaigns but now I have a question. Which should I do first? The original, or this the prequel?

Isn't it funny how different people are. One of the reasons I fly the Tomcat is Jester and I love that he feels so alive..I hate George and Petrovich as the pale in comparison, can barely do anything and are just very frustrating! I love Jesters sugar calls, his help during BFM, his sarcastic comments and praise. He feels a genuine friend to me, maybe that says more about me? But I for one certainly hope they don't tone him down or push more towards a George ai style.

If you were in a high aoa then wouldn't the body of the aircraft disrupt the airflow over the rudders and reduce there effectiveness? This is me asking a genuine question. Am I missing something on why the rudders should be more effective than they are other than they are just really big? Surely it would be an equivalent of flying at a much slower speed where the flying surfaces have less to bite.

I tried it just below max launch weight 57,000 without issues.

This is a heads up to people like me..... the afterburner gate not working is not a bug, instead things have reset in the settings with all the log in issues.

Hi @BIGNEWY log in worked long enough for me to update and download Sinai map bit are no longer working. Getting error code 504 in the UK.

Thanks @draconus thats useful thank you. I was more thinking flying a case 1 but using case 3 style calls in the groove rather than a full case 3 approach.

Now i know it's not overly realistic but is there a way to script a multiplayer mission so that it's case 1 conditions but the ai LSO requests the 3/4 mile ball call and is more vocal such as he is on case 3s? I'm trying to help some friends get more relaxed around the boat where they tend to end up behind the plane, i think those reminders and sugar calls will help. Whilst I can sit in the lso position and try and make calls I'm not great at it, plus it would be quite nice if I could be flying in the formation also. That way we can go do something else then come back and trap as a group. Ta

Heatblur have always said that their priority was the F4 and then the Typhoon, they released more progress images of the A6 just under a month ago which I didn't expect as I had assumed there was noone working on it at the moment so if anything I would say it's moving forward faster than expected. I'm as keen as you to see it implemented in the game, I would love to see it as soon as possible, but at the same point I'm aware it's only a small team, these things are complicated, and Heatblur lead DCS in quality and detail. Given how the dcs community have reacted to the original gazelle and Viper releases I'm not surprised Heatblur are holding off till they are happy. Given how many years many of the current dcs modules have taken to develop I don't think this one has been that long yet. After the F14 this is the module I have wanted more than anything, but part of this also creates some unique challenges in programming, especially in the NFO seat with the ground mapping etc. All I can say is we need patience and trust I the devs, they haven't let us down yet.

Reflected has done a series of tutorials on YouTube which basically goes through what you need for the campaign which I can't recommend enough. Good luck with the campaign it's brilliant fun.
