  1. Sorry for the very late reply, I only got around to testing it just now. It does seem to be fixed now yes. In fact i notice some jinking around during flight which seems like new behavior i have not seen before.
  2. I was playing around checking out the S-3 after the recent patch to see if anything had changed. The in cockpit pilot models got the necessary enhancement they deserved. However as I was watching it land and shut down. I noticed the "external pilot models" (the pilots that come out after shutdown, or when shot down) are the Russian pilot model. Picture below and for convenience I'll also attach a short track file. null S-3 spy pilot.trk
  3. After the hotfix dropped I went to work and tested if there were any changes. And there was, to the GBU-38 at least. The SA-15 still can see and engage the GBU-38 while completely ignoring the GBU-12, so the issue is still there. However, the SA-15 can not hit the JDAM at all, so there is some improvement at least. I even tried to do it manually in combined arms, the SA-15 AI can detect, lock and shoot the GBU-38 but it can't seem to track it as the missiles just go straight after the initial turn from leaving the tube. I will provide tracks for GBU-12 and GBU-38 as I did originally. As well as my attempt in combined arms. GBU-12 Test post hotfix.trk GBU-38 Test post hotfix.trk GBU-38 Test post hotfix combined arms.trk I'm not sure how this relates to the topic?
  4. There are 2 variants of Tor in Russian service afaik. The M1 and M2, which I believe we have the M1 While the Tor M2 has a different dish, more modern and likely much more capable of detecting and intercepting smaller targets (up to small drones)
  5. I've been playing around with the bombs and their RCS to see what can intercept what. I've found that the SA-15 can intercept the following bombs: 1. GBU-38,32, 31 (all 4 variants) 2. GBU-10, 24 3. MK-84 It can't intercept the following: 1. GBU-12, 16 2. MK-82, 83 3. MK-99, CBU-103, CBU-105 I didn't have the time to test them all but I have noticed a pattern that (disregarding JDAMs), the SA-15 was seemingly intended to only shoot at 2000lb class bombs, by the fact that the MK-82, 83 GBU-12, 16, and the cluster bombs are 500lb and 1000lb class ordinance. This inconsistency leads me to believe the SA-15 was probably intended to not be able to intercept 500lb and 1000lb class bombs. I have no documentation to show for this as in-game behavior is all I'm basing this off of. Either SA-15 should be able to intercept everything, or just 2000lb class bombs like I'm guessing. I'm not sure if this is intended behavior but I just noticed the inconsistency. I will attach tracks bellow, though not of all instances. I don't have time as of now to make a track for each bomb listed but I'll post track files for MK-82, 84, GBU-12, 10, 38, 31. Just to show the inconsistency. If needed I will make time to post track files of all the other listed bombs. Side note, I quickly tested the C-RAM and it can see and engage GBU-12 so the issue is likely not a lack of RCS coded into the bombs the SA-15 can't intercept. 7. I did an op where I spawned inside parking space number 61. I immediately noticed the palm tree behind my plane. I unfortunately forgot to note the exact coordinates but it is in parking space 61 at Ramon Airbase. I will provide screenshots below.
  8. I'm just trying to cover all grounds here. I don't think it's a wrong model...but the model appears to be missing altogether. The shape you guys are seeing is likely the terrain that is meant to be underneath the blocks of the pyramid Which makes me wonder if the model isn't loading for whatever reason.
  9. It's 2023 and people are still using HDDs for gaming. It's a fact
  10. Is your DCS installed on an HDD?
  11. I wonder if you guys are having LOD issues Care to share your full specs to go with these settings?
  12. Looking at all the default liveries of the hornet, only the Finnish and Georgian liveries seem to be broken.
  13. Maybe some years after the Viper module is done, I wouldn't mind even for a small paid upgrade to the module that increases the tape to cover more modern weapons.
  14. I've been incredibly busy lately is it took me this long to make such little changes but hopefully this year will be different. So I apologize for the huge delay for this new version. V1.06: Added: Ka-50III slots 2nd Ski ramp (shallower for any fixed wing other than AV-8) Fixes: Fixed Texaco 2-1 and Texaco 3-1 frequencies to 252.000AM Reworked: Carrier group Removed CVN-71 since it is redundant (CVN-74 now also has Supercarrier features to those that own the module) Adjusted the group's BRC, will now be 306 Repositioned the group and spaced the ships apart more to avoid/minimize confusion (landing on the wrong carrier).
  15. A quite late as I've been quite busy but here it is. Let me know if I missed anything The Unbound System 2:19 Start of interview with Kickstarter founders of "The Unbound System" 4:24 Tell us about product, what is the company's name? What is the product's name and what does it do? 7:02 What other options are there? 8:26 What about weight? Are there any issues with heavier equipment? 12:49 So tell us a little bit about your kickstarter... F-15E 15:18 Interview start 15:39 What can you tell us Ron that is the latest and greatest with the F-15E, what's ground breaking on the F-15E that you want to tell the folks? 20:58 My question I wanted to ask since we have FC3 with F-15C, nothing from that was taken so you did everything from scratch right? 21:48 And speaking about the level of detail... 27:43 So you said this is the most complex aircraft that you have ever built or is that in DCS at the present time? 28:06 What would you say is the radar capabilities are the most complex 29:56 Do you ever see yourselves putting any DTC into the F-15E eventually? 30:46 There is a lot of workload for the WSO, is it going to be multicrew capable from the start? 33:55 I've seen a lot of your videos on Twitter and the M-2000C radar is amazing so I'm looking forward to the F-15E's radar 34:56 What do you hope this module will add to DCS, and what type of scenarios and environments do you see people operating this aircraft in? 38:28 Just to recap....and then we got 3 helicopters, 2 jets that are coming and the MiG-23 is that one of the jets that's coming? 44:09 Is there a big thing in the F-15E that won't be on early access?
  16. I've come to discover that there are multiple air launched cruise missiles that are bugged. I've noticed that primarily there are 2 different kinds of bugs for cruise missiles. Some cruise missiles, when they are in terminal. The missile seemingly goes dumb and slowly drifts downwards until it hits the ground undershooting the target. The other type of bug is when the missile maintains it's cruise altitude and speed until way too late and goes into terminal at the last moment causing it to over shoot in some cases. Lastly, I'd like to note the really odd behavior of the CM-802AKG launched by AI (the AI only version) seems to get into a severe unstoppable roll when it goes into terminal causing it to crash into a unknown location. I set up my test with 2 bombers, one closer and one farther away. Both aircraft are targeting the ground on the front bumper of the first truck in a column of trucks parked front to back right next to each other so I could count where the crater of the missile lands compared to the AI's target point. In the below screenshot, it shows AGM-86D from the close B-52, landing on the correct spot (with some wobble) while the far B-52's AGM-86D landed in between the 10th and 11th truck null Which shows that in this case the 2nd AGM-86D launched from farther away missed it's target by 261ft Below I'll also provide track files of the air launched cruise missiles I've discovered to have issues. I'll also note that this issue is related to the earlier bug posted in the forums: B-52 AGM-86C.trk B-52 AGM-86D.trk H-6J KD-20.trk H-6J KD-63.trk H-6J KD-63B.trk JF-17 CM-802AKG AI.trk
  17. I did a quick test with the SA-19, it can still engage cruise missile. I tested a SLAM-ER against it and it intercepted it no problem
  18. I've discovered that the SA-19 is now completely incapable of detecting any kind of AGM, where as previously. I remember it being able to take down HARMs, JSOWs and MAVs. I've tested all 3 mentioned weapons though I only have a track file showing just the MAV against the SA-19 but it shows the lack of response of the SA-19 all the way to impact. If needed I can do more testing against more kinds of AGMs and provide the track files. I've set up the AI SA-19 in a way to ensure that it would detect the MAV as shown in the picture below. I'll also attach the track file. SA-19 ignores AGM.trk
