  1. Absolutely not but you need the mod that make DCS & OpenXR talk to each others. look for OCXR_WMR_ACC in ED's User Files. You might have find out that yourself by now but better late than sorry
  2. Really curious aswell to see your methodology testing applied to it, and see if it's relevant or still placebo.
  3. no worries, it's easy enough to launch the modules installation from inside DCS take your time and code us a killer new UI
  4. How dare you doubt him. He knows better... Look how confident he is using short sentences and punctuation like a boss. That should be a sign he is the truth incarnate. Meanwhile... me waiting for the Apache.
  5. Can we have an approx ETA for patch release ? I mean it should be in minutes now... right ?
  6. Hello SkateZilla, I haven't used the launcher for a while cause I wasn't playing DCS in the last months, and meanwhile I have upgraded to win11, and yesterday I've upgraded to the Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22572.201.0 (windows insider, dev build) and I use the last version of the utility (7.1.2021 build 1.1.0.1042) The mouse cursor is disappearing when hovering above many of the utility buttons, here is the list, if not listed it means it's fine: Main Frame: Build, Preset, Launch, VR ON/OFF, Dedicated Server mode, Model Viewer, Update, Repair, Clean, Scan For Inst Mods, Inst Selected Mods, Uninstall Select Mods Aircraft Mods: all mods pics Campaign Mods: all mods pics Theater/Tech mods: all mods pics Unlicensed mods: all mods pics Adv. Updater: all big Updates buttons, linsk to Eligable supported and Legacy versions, all language / license type config selection menus App. Settings: Verify DCS Install and Saved Games Folders, Reset Build Name's, Clear Build Patchs, Clear Saved Games, Specify Custom USer Profile Folder, Clear Vustom Profile, Verify Path to Oculus-Diag Folder I hope it can help you narrow it down.
  7. I love my G2... but thx.
  8. 2D and VR in DCS... It's like comparing playing a video game on a screen, and almost like being inside the real warplane (without the massive G-force). so yeah not going back to 2D... But I get your frustration with VR as it's not perfect yet, but it's totally worth the pain for a lot of us, and no matter the size of your screen or any quality headtracker, nothing else can achieve the immersion that VR provides. Even the piece of art that "The Warthog project" is, it's a joke in comparison. For the record I got a G9 and trackiR aswell. Let's just hope a proper Vulkan integration can achieve your standards and we'll all be happy puppies !
  9. Hello @speed-of-heat Thanks a lot for that beautiful guide, it really helps narrowing down things. - How do you explain the performance increase when using alt + enter on the 'cropped to rectangle' VR preview ? We're supposed to have disabled the fullscreen optimization of windows in win10 settings, and also disabled in the Dcs.exe right ? that doesn't really make sense to me, and since my monitor is a G9 running at 5120x1440, im not sure it's gonna improve anything for me... - I didn't see you using the command line in the autoexec.cfg (under saved games / Dcs / Config) options.graphics.stereo_mode_use_shared_parser = true Apparently it helps with performance, but introduce one or two minor graphic glitches (worth it) is it intentional ? - Are you gonna keep it up to date with new tests for every Nvidia drivers, or DCS, or BIOS (Rebar) releases ? Cheers mate.
  10. Yes I got a 3080 FE. I dont even see my sig. let me update that there, better
  11. Hi, It seems there is 18 profiles now, not 17, I just downloaded the latest Nv drivers 466.27, also I just downloaded nvinspector 2.3.0.10 I spent last night figthing with my computer since my updated ASus Z390-E Beta BIOS didnt want to boot or show anything on the monitor (turns out after updating the Bios, I forgot to go back to default settings before restarting and that created a mess... I had to clear cmos and load fail safe but that took me a while to figure out...) Im also glad I saved the Bios Profile to a USB key so I didn't have to redo my OC entirely from scratch... I also had to convert my M2.NVME boot disk that was on MBR (Master Boot Record) to GPT (GUID Partition Table) using this guide: https://www.windowscentral.com/how-convert-mbr-disk-gpt-move-bios-uefi-windows-10 Otherwise Rebar won't be able to activate if Windows and Bios aren't booting in UEFI mode. Even if Rebar turns out to be placebo I'm glad I did that because the UEFI startup sequence is much faster and nicer ! Now everything is ready and Rebar is activated. I hope the long and tedious fight was worth it Will be back for feedback ! Advise: if you're not familiar with BIOS and Firmware updates, you have no clue what is UEFI or GUID, I wouldn't tryhard for activating REBAR or you might end up with a dead computer. But if you want to give it a try follow the guides thoroughly and the tips here and there that I just gave.
