I was able to figure it out, there is no documentation on the matter but. Within the DED for COM 1 you can Dobber right on the ICP SEQ and at the top of the DED it changes from UHF MAIN to UHF Both. This allows users to hear both the selected UHF Freq and Gaurd 243.00. You can talk on guard by switching the left com 1 knob on the left Audio panel to GRD from SQL.
