Was doing the same for me. I enabled the OpenXR runtime under steam developer settings. It now runs fine, although I'm back to my mouse freezing when I put my headset on. Two steps forward ... Edit. Apparently my OpenXR companion needed to be updated. Now works natively without steam.

I’m getting this same start menu pop up during game play on the odd occasion. It’s almost like some voice command has been recognised and opens the start menu. Just read 45 pages of the WMR thread but nothing on there about the issue. Any bright ideas from anyone? Thanks.

I was only trialing the Hind so can't be of any further help. Hopefully it's just a setting issue. I'll be following as it's a great module.

Yup same problem for me on the G2. Solution is to close one eye /s

I tried an uninstall. Reboot. Repair DCS and then a reinstall. This time oddly, voice attack installed in the /program files/ folder rather than the /program files (x86)/ folder. I thought I may as well run with it and copied Viacom into the apps folder in that path and ... “voila”... VIACOM installed as advertised. I’ve yet to try it out. Hopefully the install path doesn’t matter too much.

Hi. Any help would be appreciated. Seems like this must be a common issue as it's in the FAQ. But I can't seem to get things working. I'm running an up to date Win10 version. I have a registered copy of VoiceAttack, which I'm running as Admin. I've enabled plugin support. I've copied the VIACOM folder into the path C:\Program Files (x86)\VoiceAttack\Apps\VAICOMPRO I've also tried using the .msi installer for Viacom When I run VoiceAttack nothing happens. There are no subfolders created. I've check windows defender settings and allowed VAICOMPROM through. I'm not running any of the noted conflicting modules in DCS. I do use SimShaker for Aviators. I've been trouble shooting this for a day now and am feeling like an idiot. Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks KB

Well you were absolutely spot on Flappie. I've traced the problem to a faulty SATA cable. Now getting R/W speeds where they should be. DCS loading quickly and so far no crashes. I'm sorry to have wasted your time with my problem, but I'm very grateful to you for helping me resolve the issue. All the best KB

Thank you very much @Flappie for taking the time to help me with this. I really appreciate it. I tried to load a training mission for the F18 based in Cacasus. Here are some screen shots. You'll see on the bottom right hand corner that the load started about 2:58, it finally crashed at about 3:13. The crash log is nearly 9MB. I took 4 screen shots to show various time points. Hopefully these help you understand what's happening with my system. Cheers KB

Hi. Since the last couple of updates I've been getting very long hangs with the loading sequence, and regular crashes since the latest open beta update. My problems with long (in excess of 30 mins) load times seemed to start around the time I migrated my DCS installation to a new SSD. The load process hangs around the "Terrain Init : 1" part. My SSD is running at 100% but nothing is being read Since the latest update things have gotten worse. Load times still regularly hang although I no longer wait that long. I'll close down DCS in the task manager and try again, normally successfully. I'm now getting frequent crashes. Characterised by a pop up saying DCS has crashed. I can normal still fly for a bit (30s or so) until a "report problem" dialogue pops up and then DCS finally crashes to the desktop. Steps that I've taken to try to fix the problem. I'm not running any mods and have removed excess files. I've done a full verify and repair. Windows 10 is up to date. My 2060 rtx drivers are the latest WHQL from Nvidia. I've increased the page file size in line with Mustangs post If someone is able to offer any other suggestions I'd greatly appreciate it. I've attached one of the latest logs. Have a look in the DLC campaigns sub forum. Most third party campaign devs have indicated that they will be updated in due course.
