  1. Proper and proper... I've seen some clips of the Ka-50 flying IRL, and the way I usually flew (has been a few years now), was to repeatedly click the button until you have your desired attitude. That way you end up with a less limp stick and more of a controlled transition. Not sure about your second point, perhaps you build up momentum prior to trimming?
  2. I'm gonna see if I can get one of those PCBs aswell. My throttle is dead. For anyone else reading, can't recommend Saitek either. Have had the X-52 and the rudder pedals (not Pro) and they both have just died.
  3. Nice mission! But that steam interface, message notification and nvidia specs needs to go away.
  4. How does it fit with your hand holding it and flying? Looks like you'll have to twist your wrist, or somehow let go of it, to push the buttons?
  5. I had the Warthog and the throttle died because it's inside looks like the result of someones worst friday night. Before the Warthog I had an X-52 stick that died. Decided to buy this throttle and it'll arrive at the end of this week, so I don't know if it's good or anything. But it looks neat and at least I'm not supporting known bullshit companies. Saw they had a cheap nice-looking stick too, so if you're looking for something cheap this might be worth a look. (Don't know where they ship though). https://flightsimcontrols.com/store/available/gametrix-ecs-throttle/ https://flightsimcontrols.com/store/available/defender-cobra-m5-joystick-revb/
  6. Well. I pad $400 for my Warthog setup and the throttle died about a year ago. Opened it up and saw what looked like complete garbage. Never buying anything Thrustmaster again. Had an X-52 stick that also died, and looking around Amazon, it looks like the Saitek (X-55) is pretty much garbage aswell. Suddenly a full Komodo Ka-50 package seems to be the way to go, eventually! :santa:
  7. Hello I'm roob :) I've played since LOMAC and I've learned the A-10C, Ka-50 and currently working on my MiG-21bis skills. I also own P-51D, F-86 and the Mi-8 but I've realized that all this just takes too much time. I stream very irregularly at http://www.twitch.tv/juclecia/profile and I talk english unless I'm abscentmindedly clueless about something or if I happen to blurt out some other jibberish. The microhpone isn't too keen on picking me up though because I sit in my tremendous self-built cockpit when I play :joystick:
  8. Nice, makes me wanna jump right in!
  9. I'm guessing, and like many others have already pointed out, the system could be made small. Engineers have pretty much always been troubled by the limited amount of space to hold each and every system in a fighter jet. Using air will impact performance. It requires piping (which again occupy space and adds to weight) and it would need to steal air from the engine, which could otherwise be used for more thrust. Engines back when the MiG-21 was still relatively new and shiny wasn't very efficient on the "air" part (and still aren't, since engines for fighters are generally developed with power in mind).
  10. So what I read was: don't ever use the radar and radar missiles for fighters with RWR ^^,
  11. Is there a mental guide for nm?
  12. Case, containment and fuze I'd guess
  13. It appeared to be very hard to get out of. Got into one yesterday too and I haven't seen the ground approach so fast since I first tried the Su's in Lock On :D
  14. I didn't mention any specific aircraft because it's a moot point. If an E-3 or KC-10 tanker was playable it would be able to see a mig-21 from anywhere (exaggeration) because of exhaustsmoke (which compared to reality is way too visible at distance) while it's still very hard [for the mig] to make out that huge aircraft (because of the dcs corrupt lod-modelling at distance).
  15. Yeah the cockpit dirt and scratches are really overkill with the DCS-1-pixel-aircraft. Gun training was ridiculously hard. Meanwhile our aircraft exhaust is seen from miles and miles away. It's a nice effect but I think all these things combined puts the aircraft at a really unfair disadvantage in multiplayer.
  16. TrackIR has a library of profiles for various games. You can also make your own profile allowing you to tune each axia to your needs. Try finding the DCS profile in TIR and set it as default for every game.
  17. Haven't gotten as far as being able to try dogfighting yet, but it sounds like that first kill sure will be sweet! Whenever it comes... ^^,
  18. Total guess: centerline fueltank is 2.
  19. Once there was this time of Ka-50 and A-10C and an immnse anticipation and waiting for new modules. Now they come so fast you have to actively make a decision on what to learn and fly. Amazing....
