Question - Why does my wing man not do as I say then carrying out a mission. I run out of ammo, even though the A10 carrys loads!

Thanks guys, I used to have the KA50 about 5 years ago. Just come back to DCS, house moving, having babies etc.... and its like starting all over again. On the youtube video watching at the moment, then need to set up my X52. I sold my trackIR to a friend, but he doesn't use it, so will try to 'borrow' that back.

As per the title, so I watch a startup vid, jump on a free flight and select cold start. Get engine going, but I have no HUD, radar or anything. Cannot illuminate the cockpit. Go in a already flying plane and its all ok?? Any pointers as Google doesn't seem to show anything?

ok thanks, ill give that a go. Still says 34m altitude, but thats prob the height above sea level.

Hi, I have made a practice map for me with a few targets, but I want to start on the pan with engines etc... off, so I have to practice starting up as well. Unfortunatley, I when I start the map, Im already flying :helpsmilie:

Hi all, Im struggling to get my heli to start on the ground and not running. All I can get is it about 30 meters above the ground and running? Please help ? :thumbup:

sorted, different buttons doing different things to what I thought, lol. Thanks again! so much easier now!!

hmmm, is 'o' the 'lock target' as I remapped that to my joystick. Ill try with 'o' then investigate from there. Cheers

Hi all, I cannot get the shkval to move with the helmet mounted sight, but have seen videos where it does. Cannot find any thing on it, i.e. tutorial vids that tell me. Can someone point me in the right direction?

tried out my rudder pedals, but im still to used to twisting the joystick, so annoying!!! lol

cheers, I looked at that bit, but never opened the drop down, rodney you plonker!! I've also ordered some rudder peadals, which I will pick up tomorrow as the X52 joystick twist isnt very good. I ordered a TrackIR too, but the distributor has said the senders are faulty, so have to wait till the weekend for a new one to be sent :(

trimmer is good now and start up. Not been blowing anything up as trying to do one things at a time. Got the chaffs sorted, so atleast I can try and survive, lol. Watched the Leading Edge vido n the start up, 1hour long, didnt relise it was only about starting, lol. Still, it covers everything, so starting is becoming a lot easier now. Still need to learn the Abris before going weapons I think. Glad I didnt join the RAF, think my brain would explode! Edit - how do you make a map with a heli you can fly, I can put comp controlled ones on, but I cant fly them?
