  1. NobiWan deactivated it because it's not working for everyone and it doesn't give more info than the OpenXR tools. Cheers
  2. Check XRNeckSafer discord, general channel: https://discord.gg/nKT9x3Rd Guy there that posted this today (CET): huligan-01 — today 18:57 Works perfectly both in IL-2 and DCS on Oculus Quest2 win10 21H2 So apparently it works fine with Quest2 Cheers
  3. It is. Download link at bottom of post: https://gitlab.com/NobiWan/xrnecksafer/-/blob/master/Assets/XRNeckSaferBeta1.zip Cheers
  4. SteamVR home is easibly disabled within SteamVR settings (farthest down). Although, for WRM headsets like the G1/G2 I would recommend OpenXR rather than SteamVR for a more smooth and clear experience: Cheers
  5. Afaik you cant disable it as it is part of the driver for WRM, but you can minimize resource usage by installing SkySpaces and selecting "Empty Room". After that you can uninstall SkySpaces and the Empty Room resides giving you the added benefit of less resource usage. https://www.skyspaces.app/ Cheers
  6. https://openxr-developer-tools-for-windows-mixed-reality.en.softonic.com/download I'm on Win 11 so can't download as it is only available for Win 10. Hopefully link works for you. From the documentation: The OpenXR developer tools are available for Windows 10 only. They provide a way to create and debug Mixed Reality apps. The tools are based on the OpenXR specification and have been designed for both developers and content creators to be able to create and debug Mixed Reality apps. The tools are part of the Windows Mixed Reality platform, which also includes the Windows Mixed Reality Toolkit and the Windows Mixed Reality Simulator. The Windows Mixed Reality Toolkit provides a set of APIs that are used to build Mixed Reality apps. The Windows Mixed Reality Simulator is a tool that allows users to test and debug their Mixed Reality apps on a Windows Mixed Reality device. Cheers
  7. Running the OpenComposite.exe now and then and it downloads updates (which is nice), but do any1 know if there is a change log? I checked my install folder, the website etc but could not find any. Ceers
  8. Maybe, just maybe we might get our loved NeckSafer back to both IL-2 and DCS together with OpenXR. No promises from NobiWan in his post ofc, but seems like he will try to get a version running - a million cudos to him for looking into it - a lot of necks will love him for it https://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/67985-simple-tool-to-check-your-six/?do=findComment&comment=1185453 Cheers
  9. As far as I know Pimax does not support OpenXR directly, it passes through SteamVR so no gain in using it. Openxr Toolkit allegedly works. You are probably better off using Pimax’s Oculus support that works without steam. Cheers
  10. I am running Windows 11. I had the latest non-security update KB5011563 installed. After I rolled that back all is good again. Btw, I do not use the specific DCS version of the Toolkit but the regular 1.04 one. It has been suggested by the developers of OpenComposite/Toolkit that the error is related to OS update. Hope this helps any1 how runs Windows 11. Cheers
  11. J2_NobiWan on the forum of the *other sim* stated the following; VRNS depends on SteamVR/OpenVR functions. Unless these are not provided by OpenXR (or OpenComposite) it will not work. However I also find the well documented "OpenXR Toolkit" quit interesting. The appoach shown there might be a way forward... So seems like he is not shuting the door completely for NS to work with OpenComposite
  12. I had the same error on my system. Tried every suggested solution. What I found that fixed it for me: I had applied the recent released cumulative update KB5011563. After I rolled Windows 11 back to before I applied the KB5011563 update, all works again. Cheers
  13. Update: below error related to OpenXR Toolkit on my system, clicking "Disable the OpenXR Toolkit" solved it so DCS starts in VR mode, but without the functionallity provided by OpexXR Toolkit ofc. Getting the below error on new DCS ver: 2.7.11.22041 Open Beta. Using OpenCompositeACC 0.6.2 and OpenXR Toolkit Beta #3 (1.0.4). U guys get the same? Cheers
  14. Very smooth experience and stunning visual quality compared to SteamVR. From 45-50 fps on Syria ground up to 90 fps airborne with AH-64D. Well done, highly appreciated! High settings on most, MSAA/SSAO/SSLR etc off, OpenXR cust rend scale at 80%, Montion Repro disabled, OpenXR Toolkit NIS/FSR off. Some issues with HMD not being aligned if I dont apply the Win+Y trick at DCS boot (know its being investigated). Ryzen 7 5800x/3090/64GB 3600/M.2 980 Pro/HP G2 Cheers
  15. Have you tried it connected to a regular USB 3.1 Gen 2 (3.2) with the included USB C to USB adapter? Cheers
