  1. I'll have a look later. Its written in the fpsVR Infos if you want to check the screenshot I posted earlier.
  2. Did you try different driver versions for the AMD? Before the new nvidia driver there was really bad studdering for the RTX in SteamVR. When comparing in the benchmarks the smoothness was way better with AMD.
  3. The new driver fixed a lot of issues with SteamVR and studdering...worked fine on my ex RTX3080.
  4. The 6900XT runs way faster with the Pimax 8KX compared to the 6800XT. With the G2 havent compared it yet.
  5. For the 6800xt OC we did 115% powertarget and RAM to 2100Mhz. My brother got a hold of a 6900xt we will bench that one aswell.
  6. But on the last two graphs there are two different CPUs used and the 5950 is faster. So hard to tell which one is really better.
  7. I got a much smoother gameplay with reprojection off. But it was set on in the benchmarks. Do you run the steam or the standalone version? SteamVR beta? SteamVR for WMR beta? any other VR headsets(software)? Which Windows Version? 20H2? Checked Microsoft Store for a WMR update? well...its a highly optimised game as we all know ;D Online i stick most of the times with 45fps with my F16...
  8. We didnt pause the game, we startet the mission an then activated the autopilot. After that we Alt+Tab out of the game and pushed the reset button once the start and end appeard. The usage of the GPU is way different. (Bottom graph) Do you see this behaviour in other games aswell? Not sure if it was mentioned here: did you delete the shader cache?
  9. benchmark v1 complex mission.miz This is my excact file. You could try this one. Questions comming to my mind: - any special beta version due to damage model testing? - anything else that could differ regarding DCS? - SS Resolutions the same when swapping cards? (You could update your signature btw)
  10. First thing to start and make anything comparable would be to find out why his benchmark just runs 2.6 Minutes.
  11. Since we have 3 different PCs with absolute no problems, it would make sense to start looking for differences from our systems to yours and maybe try to find something your and the other guys system have in common to pin point the cause. Something like a Ryzen 5000 on a x470 might be it.
  12. Sorry miss read that, my bad. Regarding the x470 board. Is it still a beta bios? Maybe there is the problem?
  13. That's not true. Modern CPU clock down and throttle the power that goes through a CPU is they're getting too hot. The usage of the CPU will be 100% if it is fully used no matter if it clocks slower or faster. The usage of the CPU doesn't really matter because its mainly 1 thread of your CPU that is used to full extend from DCS which limits your frames. @Hiromachiwhat hardware do you use? Did the other guy use DDU to deinstall the drivers aswell?
  14. @Hiromachi Your benchmark results make no sense to me. The Median Frametimes and the percentiles of the radeon ist less, which is better and faster. But still the fps are supposed to be less? Our duration has been 3.2minutes on every run. I'd say there is something wrong there.
  15. What me really wonders is why 2.6 minutes? Ours have been 3.2 Minutes for the whole benchmark run. We used the standard settings that adrenaline comes with. Same with the Nvidia driver.
  16. I would take a more practical aproach. Test a couple of crowded servers with one card, smap it and do the same again. That might not be scientific but if there is a difference of 10-20% that should be noteable in the favor of one of them. I dont have the RTX3080 anymore, so i cant test it.
  17. Upgrade the CPU, but i would skip the 3000 series. Go for ryzen 5000 or Intel 10600K or so. That would be a big improvement. See my thread with benchmarks.
  18. No the 3080 wasn´t undervolted, it was overclocked to run consitenly on 2070Mhz. I think you have to give a little more details on your setup and what and how you testet. There is another topic where someone found that in a different scenario the CPU load with the RTX is lower. Due to that he gets more frames in his scenario. The Problem with the AMD´s is that the infinity cache doesn´t work as good on high resolutions like 4K. And therefore they lose their advantage. They should have made the Vram interface faster with 512bit or something in between.
  19. In modern Operating System you dont have to do that anymore. You can run both GPU´s at the same time in your system with both drivers active and working without any problems in Windows 10. Its not windows 98 or ME. We couldn´t see any problems switching cards. And we couln´t determine any speed differences on systems where one or the other driver have or havent been installed before. It is way more important to delete the shader cache to avaiod any problems in DCS. The minimal differences in Firestrike are really common and just normal variation. You can install it and run it a couple of times, you´ll see some variation in the results. https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html Just my 2 cents.
  20. That would be the conclusion...and very interesting. Maybe the Def´s would be so nice and let us know about some details @BIGNEWY? In your case i would have a look at the scenarios you play most and see which one runs better there. Unfortunately we dont have the F18 or Carrier Module to test your bench setup.
  21. The amd are better at simple rastarisation...thats why they're faster in DCS and not in games with modern engines.
  22. This is quite interesting. We did a lot of benchmarks on ryzen 2000 and 5000 with 6800xt and 3080 and found that the CPU frametimes have been better on the 6800XT.
  23. Best immersion Pimax 8KX by far.
  24. I´d say for sims like DCS it would be the Reverb G2 or Pimax 8KX. Both have their advantages...do your research or try both.
