    Looking forward to this one, as the recent Gazelle update has left the current Egyptian Gazelles liveries looking a bit odd and unrealistic .. I purchased the Sinai map and I’m re-learning the Gazelle as its update has totally renewed this helo in a very good way 🙏

    Well then....

    Sounds good Kerbo! Im familiar with Wyverns liveries as well. Hes a fan of "What if" Flankers 😄

    I've asked him to base it off the Su-35 livery since that's as close as Egypt ever got to a phantom.

    Hey Kerbo, thanks for all the work. I notice you forgot the Egyptian JF-17 you did, may wanna include that 🙂

    If I can make a request, Egypt liveries for the Mirage F1 and a Flanker would be awesome as well. The F1 is a good standin for the Mirage V, and given Egypts history of goin back and forth on where they get military hardware from a flanker would fit nicely. Maybe the J-11 since it uses R-77?

    Will have to add these to the to-do list, @Wyvern has offered to do the flanker.

    Oh, you made the liveries? So may I ask, why is the engine exhaust and the cockpit fully grey? I can't imagine this being right.

    For the MiG-19? this issue was already fixed. you might want to try to reinstall

    I have liveries for the Mi-8, Gazelle and Mi-24. Don't know why you didn't find those

    These are the liveries that I have made, generally I do not like to use other people's liveries as the quality is not always guaranteed. For example most of my liveries use custom weathering and roughmets to accurately replicate the real life versions

  6. Hello, as some of you may know, over the past two years I've been working on making Egyptian Liveries for DCS, so far a good majority of this has been completed, but a few aircraft remain missing. I figured with the release of the Sinai map this would be a good time to catalog these liveries as they finally have a place where they can be flown.

  7. Iranian MiG-29s By Kerbo

    Hello all, I've recently been working on a few Iranian liveries for the MiG-29A using @2IAE-CrashBG's upgraded Normals. Part of this includes accurate hand made weathering and roughmets  according to a specific aircraft's serial number. So far I have done two aircraft, #3-6118, and #3-6108. those represent a tan/blue camo, and a grey/blue camo. so far 3-6118 has been published on the userfiles (link below). while 3-6108 is still work in progress. Images below:

  8. Hello all, Since ED has updated the textures for the flanker, I do not recommend using my RMs with them since they sacrificed quite a bit of visual fidelity in order to give the depth effect present in normals which is no longer necessary, however I do still recommend you keep them for the Su-25 since ED has not updated it's textures

    Hello All! As many of you may know, FC3's textures are really out of date when compared to what is available today, especially for aircraft such as the Su-25, 27 or 33. which do not have normals. But since Normals can only be enabled from the original model, I've decided to try and make up for the lack of depth provided by normals by giving these aircraft custom RMs that try to emulate the effect normals have like this:

    d0FvNlo.png

    I have done such roughmets for all of the Russian aircraft lacking normals. And you can see some comparison shots below:

    MOpyxjQ.gif

    GICMG7W.gif

    And some Pictures of the new roughmets in game (some of those are custom liveries with new diffuses to match the new Roughmets) :

    I will soon publish the new Su-25 liveries if there's enough interest, and make the RM's PSDs available for Creators who would like to use them in their liveries.

    New Engines for the Flanker by Mach3 D S

    Along with my new roughmets, I’ve also included new engine textures for the flankers provided by Mach3ds. However to apply these new textures you’ll have to include the following lines in your livery’s lua:

    {"su27_detail", 0 ,"Su-27_detail_new",true};
    {"su27_detail_compos", 0 ,"Su-27_detail_new",true};

    Install Instructions:  Either use OVGME, or copy the folder from the zip and place it in the DCS install folder

  9. with the aid of @2IAE-CrashBG (Who provided his redone normals, template and the underside) I've compleltely redone the Syrian Air Force livery with custom roughmets, weathering and normals. the result is an almost 1:1 recreation with the real life livery in excruciating detail. below are some images showcasing the livery:

    checked with our artist, and got below answers

    1. there will be more than 10 new liveries added in the following 2 or 3 updates. Most of them are fictional

    2. To better manage the livery and control the quality, our artist would like alternative solution:

        community players submit their own design pictures, and our artist choose good design and make the livery (credit still to original designer)

    3. once all liveries (in 1) added to DCS, template will be released together

    4. uvw no change, and will not have big change in future. So existing customized liv should still work

    5. texture updates include: improved skin and metal texture, fixed some bugs

    It's a shame to hear community liveries won't be accepted, but I'm glad people will be able to at least make suggestions. also glad there isn't a UV change since that would break the dozen or so liveries I've already made 😅.

  11. Yep, I do have quite a few questions about the implementation of the new liveries, will additional liveries be considered from the community? Does the release of new liveries mean an official template is on the horizon soon? was the unwrapping changed? (making the unofficial template obsolete), and what were the updates done to the external textures as reported in the changelog?
