OK, but is this even modelled in the JF-17? I mean to do 2 90 degree turns?
Is there a way to see the INS alignment drift?
I always use HNS+GPS and using fast align. Is there a way to know if the server have GPS enabled? Shouldnt all modern server have that on?
Arnt you guys having the same problem?
1) I believe so yes
2) not that i know of
3) modern servers yes
4) had the same problem but the 2 90 deg turn fixed it for me -

Ins+NHS
Gc align.
GC align is only if there isn't a GPS, otherwise HNS works just fine
-
your INS drifts over time, it's a miniscule amount but it's big enough to affect weapons, what you have to do is enable HNS after FAST align if GPS is available or do a full GC align if not.
another thing that might be causing the weapon's INS to go bunkers is a long straight flight, if you continue to miss even after enabling HNS, do 2 90 degree turns to fix the weapon's INS.

Is there any guidance on how to translate between the wings? Right wing comes up fine but I can only get left to be some weird mirror so all the text is backwards. Flipping and rotating various ways just misaligns the template...
This is what I get with the 'correct' flip - the orientation is wrong and doesn't read correctly into the model
yep this one is our fault sorry, main 06 has to be flipped vertically

Yeah, I never really thought much about it but the jeff definitely has a sort-of SU-15 vibe which totally works in bare metal.
the jeff looks nice in almost anything!

I clicked this with pretty low expectations tbh. But I gotta say I'm impressed. Good work!
thank you!

I just tested the C-701T and C-701IR again, and they can withstand up to the 6.0 to 6.1 G that the AG/1 mode allows. That was surprising to me because both the quick start guide and Chuck's say the C-701 is particularly susceptible to high Gs. (Although I only tested to see if the weapon said FAIL on the MFD, I didn't actually try firing it afterward...)
I also tested the BRM rockets (both guided and unguided), and they withstand AG/1 as well, and the 2x LAU-68 pods withstand 8.0 Gs presumably because they're on the outer wing double pylon. Looks like the fix for that is already in the works. Thanks!
iirc they survived fine, problem was if you tried to fire them they were jammed but didn't show up in the SMS

are you sure about the 701s? I heard some weapons have the system recommending a config other then what should be used.
other then that, interesting results

Those are LS, a different company, I’m pretty sure these are the ones they referred to as possible in the first couple pages of this thread. With GBU-54 the API for dual guidance is there. Also makes the CM-400AKG possible along with the ballistic FM being done for Scud.
but yeah it is confusing with LT, LS, FT, and many different types of weapons companies that make similar or comparable weapons. I believe that’s the Chinese military philosophy, have multiple companies working on comparable products and eventually going with the one that works best. It’s very similar in regards to making their version of another countries weapon. They often seem to have one company do a solution that is very similar to another country and have another company work on an equivalent solution that is more innovative and indigenous in design. It’s interesting philosophy
funny enough LS(Luoyang), FT, and LT manufacturers are all subsidiaries of CASC, I forget if AVIC has any equivalent PGM programs. They seem to focus on the airframes themselves, as Shenyang, Chengdu, Hongdu, Harbin, Xian are all apart of AVIC.
there’s also CASIC, and things get so confusing I think I mixed myself up lol. One of those things I’ve been wanting someone knowledgeable to talk about
damn you know your Chinese aviation industry

That’s awesome. What’s the chances of Deka maybe adding this to the JF?
I too would love to work with deka in expanding the Jeff's livery selection.

a small note:
would you like that the AAR probe be automatically removed when equipping the livery? i feel as if it looks out of space but would like your opinions

Hello! I'm not done yet!
Next up fictional PLAAF camos, i've made them in a Blue/Light Blue Camo, a Grey/Dark grey Camo and have a few more color schemes planned, such as a white one, white/Blue and more!
I plan on releasing them all as a single pack so it'll probably take a bit longer then usual to get them on the Userfiles but here are some pics from the completed ones so far.

Hello! i've stuck again! here's a Fictional Chrome livery in soviet colors, please know that i am not aiming for historical accuracy since soviets didn't operate any truly chrome liveries. as usual will be on userfiles shortly after which i'll update this post.
here are some pics
Livery is now on the userfiles:

hello!
we've updated the Template, V 2.0 is out and includes among other stuff:
- improved weathering
- AO
- improved stencils
-included tanks into the sample skin
-custom and updated roughmets to go along with the weathering
- and a (still very WIP) Roughmet template
another change we made is we merged both wings into a single file, Wing R should be exported as Main 06 and Wing L should be exported as Main 07 we recommend using the sample skin folder as the base of your livery and just overwriting the files as needed to fix a couple of bugs encountered If you have any issues with the template or want help with it feel free to ping me!
Expect another (maybe even bigger!) update in the coming weeks as community contributions become added to the template,
anyway here's the download link: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1zk9ZKQ5XoITwYmfwZgOr3wbj1M0oKf1n?usp=sharing Best of luck and happy skinning!

There is a coin given to people who attended the maiden flight of block 3 and it shows a cheek pod, I’ll see if I can find the photo of it I saved
I really hope deka can incorporate some features from the block 3 if they can, such as the cheek pod or the HMD if it's true that they carried them

Flying around with Jeff I really wish for one thing - that it would have a cheek station for TPOD a la F-16.
That would allow for more flexible loadouts.
i too would love a cheek pod, but sadly there's no evidence of it being considered in real life

Hello peeps!
i've finished my work on an Egyptian Airforce Mirage 2000EM based on the requests of @mattebubbenand @Chiron, i might do another version with camo like seen on the Mirage Vs, it'll be approved on the userfiles soontm anyway here's a screenshot
