  1. Some additional info for those that have a 1920x1200 display: base.init_pos = {2.8,-0.79} -- BottomRight Placement on 1920x1200 display -- DEFAULT: {0,(1 - 1.3*size)} base.init_pos = {1.40,-0.79} -- BottomCenter Placement on 1920x1200 display -- DEFAULT: {0,(1 - 1.3*size)}
  2. I tried that. I went and hovered over the grass further to the right of the starting point one time and nothing. I also flew all the way back to the starting point and nothing. Do I need to also land? The video posted above me appears to be an older version of the mission where it specifically tells you to land right in the middle (which I'm guessing became problematic if the player was in the middle of the square but too close to the edge for the guys to tighten up).
  3. I feel like an idiot typing this, but how do you get the instructor to start the second test? I have yet to do many missions at all (I've watched the training tracks and done a bit of taking off, hovering, and landing in the practice training mission, so I'm guessing the "F10 Radio Added" has something to do with it. I hit F10 and it just shows me the map planner. Do I have some binding set wrong or something? I also downloaded the attached track that someone posted, and that thing didn't work at all (there were inputs, but it didn't sync up with the game... maybe it's because I'm on the newest version of the sim?) Edit: Oh, and out of frustration at not starting the second test, I too found out what happens when you take out two of the grunts and chase down the hummer. I got quite a giggle out of that little bit of scripting polish. Bravo.
  4. Game just went from pretty nice to awesome. It appears that this fixes the tower and wingman voices, but are there other lines I can change to get the campaign specific lines of dialog to be in English or are those hardwired on a per-mission basis? Just for giggles, I essentially did a find/replace for everything that said language.RUSSIAN to be language.ENGLISH for the next mission to see if it helps. I'll see tomorrow when I have another go. Thanks!
  5. I thought this was something that changed in 1.0.2 but I went about uninstalling the patch to see if the single player campaign was in English but apparently it isn't. Either that or I just don't understand how to make it be in English. I've mentioned that I'd love the campaigns to have English dubs in the wish list thread, but I'm wondering if I'm just missing something. I've watched all of the producers notes videos over the last few weeks and I watched the one on Data Link this morning and I realized: they are speaking English. Do I have to have a particular version of the game for it to be in English or what (I bought the it from Direct2Drive.com which I can only guess is the North American version?). I guess I understand if the game simply doesn't have English speech... I mean, it wasn't developed by an American or English developer of everyone knows non-English speaking gamers have to put up with all sorts of games that simply don't have dubs in their language. I just want to make sure I'm simply overlooking how to get the game sounding ideal for me personally. Thanks for any clarification or help anyone can give.
  6. I'd like the ability to have subtitles stay up for a longer amount of time during missions. Much longer. Like as long as it takes for the next line of dialog to come out. Seems like every time someone wants to talk over the radio in the campaigns is right when I'm having to concentrate on something other than the top right corner of my screen. Better yet, English dubs of all the dialog?
  7. Thread necromancy here, but I'm stuck on this mission mainly because I don't see any kind of a flight plan in either the PVI-800 nor the ABRIS. It seems like one of the guys on comms says I'm supposed to follow the river and go to some town that starts with a K. Am I supposed to actually make my own flight plan in this mission? I even tried telling my wingman to "Engage mission and return to base" and the guy leaves me and turns around to go back to where we took off from. Pretty sure that's not where the end of the mission is going to be, guy! Thanks for any help.
