  1. Hi, I have managed to fix this by modifying clickabledata.lua around line 896: (...) --ILS elements["PTR-ILSCP-PWR"] = { (...) cycle = false, } to (...) --ILS elements["PTR-ILSCP-PWR"] = { (...) cycle = true, } Best Regards,
  2. Ok, I hope I nailed it. In my case the problem was that the SideWinder2 was connected to the same external active USB hub as my TrackIR: - When I did not run TrackIR software then I could go to the Control menu without any problems (repeated dozen of times: Run DCS -> enter Options -> enter Controls -> Exit DCS). - With TrackIR software running DCS crashed on ~50% of tries. This is probably caused by some power loses on USB hub ports. When I reconnected my TrackIR to different internal PC hub the problem disappeared (non-reproducible for about 20 tries). You may check if it helps in your case.
  3. Hi, still same problem after loooong time, but I have two questions: 1. Is there anyone with SideWinder2 who has no problems with these crashes? 2. Is this problem on a devs' ToFix list?
  4. Hi, Same here. I've activated my products couple days ago. Today got the same message as you. It is probably something wrong on StarForce side. Best Regards, Baal
  5. Hello I've found a solution that does not involve module reinstallation. Clipping range for shkval display is governed by the MFD_render_params structure in Config\graphics.cfg file. Just change second_pass_far_clip and single_pass_near_clip fields to 0.1 and everything will be rendered correctly. Best regards, Baal
  6. Hello, There are many good opinions about FFB2 on this forum. It's probably Porsche among FFB sticks. Especialy regarding BlackShark and its trimm mechanism. The problem with all forcefeedback sticks in DCS is that you are not supposed to use any curvature on axis characteristics -> http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=1029203 I use MSFFB2 for almost half a year and this is my first FFB stick (not mention Saitek Cyborg Evo Force - not ffb at all). It needs some cleaning/tuning now, but flying with it is still really enjoyable. The only reason I could change it for my thrustmaster warthog stick is the lack of buttons/hats on FFB2, but I wont change it in the near future.
  7. From my experience with the gray MSFFB2 the only way is to leave axis tune untouched, otherwise ForceFeadback will not work correctly. It seems that FFB is always send to joystick using linear characteristic. Let me explain: Supose we have X axis tuned like this: Now, in game I press and hold Trimmer button (force feedback goes off) and set a new stick possition: When I release Trimmer button (force feedback goes on) my joystick change its position in a way like there were no curvature set to my axis (joystick is beeing set to the posiotion where in-cockpit cyclic is: linear characteristic for ForceFeedback): As a result in-game cyclic stick changes it position also due to my joystick position changed. I dont know if there are similar problems with another FFB sticks.
  8. Hi, I have noticed that many files in Flaming Cliffs 2 and Black Shark are the same (same engine and compatibility rework). I did some experiment. I merged Black Shark directory with Flamming Cliffs 2, but renamed both bin folders to FlamingCliffs2Bin and BlackSharkBin. As a result both games are working correctly (as far as I know) and both are using the same files. Total directory size is now 9,67 GB instead of 6,27 GB for FC2 and 8,07 GB for BS. I know that disk space is not an issue in such a case but here is my question: Are there any plans to make DCS modularization in such a manner? I mean one engine application with multiple independent modules (Black Shark, Warthog, ...) installed in a single directory? It would be nice and seems that it is partialy implemented.
  9. If training tracks were deleted from your Backup folder you can extract them from the Black Shark DVD. You need to open setup.exe file in some compression tool (WinZip/WinRar/7-Zip etc.) I am using 7-Zip so in my case I just right click on setup.exe file and select 7-Zip -> Open archive Then go to the folder "\$_OUTDIR\Missions\Training\" inside archive and extract all files to your Backup\missions\training directory. Then run RestoreTracks.bat from my previous post and everything sholud work fine.
  10. Hi, Sorry for late response. I assume that you dewnloaded new version (v. 1.1) of Training Tracks mod. The major change is that new version does not contain training tracks anymore (tracks are property of ED so i dont want to distridute these files under Freeware license). If my assumptions are correct you can use RestoreTracks.bat in a way presented in ReadMe.txt file: Let me know if this helps. Btw. You can also download video trainngs from this official DCS site.
  11. It seems that: 1. HTTP 1 (USA) & FTP 1 (USA) are pointing to wrong file (586 MB instead of 319 MB) 2. HTTP 2 (Russia) brings you back to DCS main page. 3. FTP 2 (Russia) & FTP 4 (Germany) are broken. 4. HTTP 3 (USA) & FTP 3 (USA) are working correctly (319 MB file). Hope this helps. Baal
