  1. Definitely need a dedicated card. Integrated graphics like that have to tap into the CPU for the graphics, which hurts performance.
  2. I doubt it would be the F15E, unless there's some way for the player to be the pilot and WSO at the same time. Whatever it is, it's got to be single-seat.
  3. I read a book a while back about the true version of "The Last Samurai". His name was Saigo Takamori, and he lead a rebellion similar to the one depicted in the movie. If I recall correctly, it was the Satsuma Rebellion.
  4. Is this in FC2? In FC2 my wingman don't taxi until I taxi, however they taxi about about 50kts, run me over, or block the taxiway and prevent me from getting onto the runway.
  5. If we want to talk about languages that are the best, I have to say that Japanese has the easiest pronunciation (everything is spelled the way it sounds), while Korean has the best (and supposedly the "most scientific") writing system. Grammar wise, all languages suck :P
  6. Release the camera by alt+F2? I've tried that....then I get nasty jerky mouse movements when I try to follow an aircraft...
  7. I'm having trouble with camera angles. Many of the angles I see in GlowingAMRAAM productions simply do not exist (to my knowledge) with the default view functions in-game (FC2). Say, for example, I want to have a shot with the aircraft peeling away--not possible because the camera is stuck to the jet.

    F-35, anyone?

I couldn't imagine carrier traps with a DCS sim set at max realism....awesome if I could pull it off, but doubt I ever could :P
  9. The cockpit of the UH-1 is still "classified", or so I was told (read "yelled at") by a Marine while I was taking pictures of one at an airshow......yet all the parents got to take pictures of their kids inside the cockpit..... If Vietnam era stuff is still "classified", what isn't?

    Beer

What's a good rum to try? I've been told that rum is "sweet"--I have yet to taste any alcohol, including rum, that is sweet. Woodford's next on my list to try--my first bourbon was Maker's Mark.

    Beer

I can't seem to develop a taste for beer. I prefer wines, bourbon, and blended scotch (single malt is too sour for my tastes). Korean soju is nice too--a bit of citrus flavor. There's a nice Korean blackberry (or raspberry, can't remember) wine that tastes great.
  12. I expect maturity from adults with deadly weapons, but apparently that's too much to ask in the military....or among other "adults" I see at shooting ranges.
  13. I'm surprised that LOMAC doesn't have wing vapor. Even Falcon 4 with it's old graphics and not-so-realistic flying has wing vapor.
  14. Yes, really. Google didn't give me an answer like Eddie's. It gave me crap like "slant range in communications".
  15. That coloring book is quite helpful....except for the high-school bully comments riddled throughout..... Now, what exactly is a "slant range"? I can't find anything on that through Google or the forums.
  16. As for the long warning, according to my Astronomy class, it only takes 8 minutes for light from the sun to reach earth. So if we wait until we see a solar flare or mass ejection come our way, we only have 8 minutes to respond.
  17. This is all so very complicated for such a simple maneuver......
  18. Too bad they're overpriced (in my opinion). I spent less than $800 building my AR15, so I refuse to pay any more than $500 for a handgun. Beyond the political issues of gun ownership, guns are just plain fun to shoot (if you're a safe and mature gun owner, that is).
  19. If only I could carry my AR15 with me :) I'd like a decent handgun....I'm just out of money until I get out of college--and by then it may not even be legal to carry one anymore....
  20. Since when does "what nations need" equate to what kind of video games the general public gets? Why would a nation even use a video game instead of a dedicated, million-dollar training pit?
  21. What's the procedure for broad daylight? Someone mentioned "common sense", but my common sense says that if the NAV lights aren't visible in broad daylight (in real life), why even turn them on in sunny conditions?
  22. Just for the sake of the topic, I would like to see something a bit more old-school: F86 Sabre. The Korean War is all but forgotten.
