  1. OK. Thank you. Support then. P.S. I just checked licenses before sending a message to Support and found that the Free Trial license for Syria has already been removed by the system, from my licenses list.
  2. Thank you for your answer. I don´t consider this a license problem. Not yet at least. I should have only one license (because I purchased a free trial module (terrain)). But I have two licenses for these fourteen days of free trial. So I don´t see a reason to contact support for that. >>>But I would still like an answer to know how do I return any free trial module, before the lapse of fourteen days is over. Is there a way to return it back or there isn´t any?
  3. I come from Steam and I have moved to ED Standalone this week. Therefore I am new to ED purchase. Last night downloaded Syria as a Free Trial license. What I wanted to know was about the performance of flying over Syria in my PC, to decide if I wanted to buy it. I have tried it along the day and finally have proceeded to buy it. But what happens is that in my licenses page I have two licenses for Syria, one purchased and the other the Free Trial with 13 days still to go. For purposes of playing it´s everything OK. But I want to know if I can get rid of the Free Trial license before the 14 days have elapsed. I would also like to know, in case I get another Free Trial, if I will be able to terminate it before the time (14 days). In other words return the license (and the DLC files). How do I do that?
  4. It sounds to me as a problem with the binding of the change from moving the cursor to clicking and viceversa (toggle). It should be binded to LALT-C.
  5. Thank you for posting this video. I was in need of it to clear out some aspects of slew mode usage.
  6. I don´t know if you have fixed this by now. If not: You have to check your F-16C bindings and compare them with what you have in the F-18. I use TrackIR and it does register as TrackIR in the Controls bindings screen. I don´t know with which name Opentrack registers in the bindings page. Check it in your F-18 and see you have the same device (name) column in the F-16C bindings. After that, open the Axis Commands and check what you have in the six available "Head Tracker" in the Action column (leftmost). I have these bindings under TrackIR column: TRACKIR_Z TRACKIR_PITCH TRACKIR_X TRACKIR_ROLL TRACKIR_Y TRACKIR_YAW I would expect similar entries for Opentrack.
  7. OFP --> "operational flight program", but I don´t know what is the meaning of that. Do a search for "ofp" here and you will see different DLC related. It may be a note of attention for the dev team.
  8. I am currently flying the F-16C. I fully agree with the ideas posted here. Current wingmen AI is nearly as old as LOMAC. And not only for A-G ops but also in A-A engagements.
  9. There is no bug in dogfight slew mode. My mistake. The cause was a hardware (hotas) issue, which I have solved thanks to a friend (Steam) orientation who has my same Hotas (X56). I will like seeing soon a video or a better description of the dogfight slew mode and how to make it work the right way.
  10. I guess you mean what I read in the Changelog: Added radar ACM Slew mode. When in Dogfight ACM mode, slewing the radar cursor switch activates ACM slew mode that will search 20-degrees in elevation and 60-degrees in azimuth and pitch and roll space stabilization (not in reference to aircraft longitudinal axis like the other ACM modes) out to 10 nm. This is a rather large area and detection and lock may not be immediate. The elevation high and low coverage is indicated and based on targets at 5 nm. To exit, TMS Aft. However once I get this pointer (see attached) I have lots of problems to lock again the enemy airplane I am pursuing in a dogfight. This happens in both ACM 120 A-A or in a dogfight AIM-9X A-A.
  11. By looking at the video above, my question is what is that new pointer about when in dogfight mode, with those two numbers? How does it work? The TMS targeting modes and corresponding locks are not working right. I opened this post in Steam last night, about I believe it´s a related issue: Issues with F-16C Dogfight mode :: DCS World Steam Edition DCS: F-16C Viper (steamcommunity.com) (right click and open link in new tab)
  12. Have you been able to snap the throttle to idle, after the rpm are steady in 20%? Since the latest stable 2.7.6, I need to have NUM on. Otherwise it won't work. In the previous version the NUM could be on or off.
  13. I use two keys in my keyboard and works pretty good. It might have been fixed in the last 2.7.6 stable
  14. So the dobber SEQ has been replaced by the M-SEL key (ICP)
  15. RCtrl-Pause doesn´t work for me either. But it works RCtrl-ScrLk. In my Spanish layout keyboard, the ScrLk (Scroll Lock) is named as Bloq Despl. In other languages it may use another key located around Pause.
  16. Hi MAXsenna. Thank you for the reply to my post. However, I believe I did not explain myself. Yes, I saw your last step RAlt+Num0. The problem is that the game does not keep that save with RAlt+Num0. So, to summarize what I do and what I get: 1- I start up a free flight with the F-16C. I have a head position given by the game 2- I make sure TrackIR or any headtracking is stopped. 3- I use the Num pad head movement controls to place the head position where I like it (basically within the Z axis in my case). 4- Once I have the head position, I save it with RAlt+Num0. From now on and until I shut DCSW down, the centering keystroke will give me the new saved head position. I play for a while. 5- I shut down DCSW (or just the mission). 6- Later on or the next day I start it up again: The problem here is that the head position I will get now is the same I had in step 1. I do not get the saved position in step 4. 7. This happens with any aircraft in DCSW. I fly the M2000C and the F-16C plus the FC3 and the stock planes with the same result. In other words, DCSW does not keep the head position saved in a previous mission with RAlt+Num0, for every future mission. Not a big problem. In every session I will just have to adjust my head position every time and save it for the remaining of the session. But I really would like to have a saving keystroke that keeps the saved position for all future missions. In the case of the F-16C it´s annoying as the HUD is hard to read unless I advance my head in the Z axis. Clipper
  17. The solution works but it´s saved only for the flight. Next time you load a mission in the F-16C the head position will be the same far away. I have tried this. Unfortunately I don´t have a proper axis and I am using one of the mini sticks in a Logitech Gamepad 310. And it doesn´t work very well, specially when the TrackIR is engaged.
  18. Thanks Flappie. About the error 0xc0000142, though I gave a valid solution for my case, I am sure that this error may be caused by many different causes in combination with Windows. And about my daily crashes I may post an extensive report here with all my pains. Though under "some" control, I would like to play without needing to do what I do every day to play DCSW.
  19. I know this thread has nine months in the forum but I want to document what has happened me today related with the Error 0xc0000142. And what I did to solve it. It was impossible to startup DCSW. It gave a Initialization 2 and when closing the box it indicated the error. All Steam games I have worked fine. So it seemed a WIndows related issue. However the solutions in YouTube and elsewhere were incapable to fix the issue. But it is important to tell you that "before" the initialization error started, I had another error related with worldgeneral.dll (only once). This is the log I had at that moment: ******************************************** === Log opened UTC 2021-01-06 00:35:41 2021-01-06 00:35:40.895 ERROR SECURITYCONTROL: Manifest check failed for file 'bin/worldgeneral.dll' 2021-01-06 00:35:40.896 WARNING SECURITYCONTROL: IC fail: bin/worldgeneral.dll 2021-01-06 00:35:40.903 INFO DCS: Command line: "S:\Steam\steamapps\common\DCSWorld\bin\DCS.exe" 2021-01-06 00:35:40.903 INFO DCS: DCS/2.5.6.59625 (x86_64; Windows NT 10.0.19042) 2021-01-06 00:35:40.903 INFO DCS: DCS revision: 179622 2021-01-06 00:35:40.903 INFO DCS: Renderer revision: 21314 2021-01-06 00:35:40.903 INFO DCS: Terrain revision: 21287 2021-01-06 00:35:40.904 INFO DCS: CPU cores: 4, threads: 8, System RAM: 16331 MB, Pagefile: 9216 MB ********************************************* I replaced the dll with one in my backup (did not work) and later one sent by a friend. It didn´t work either. I tried to stop the antivirus, to disable W10 startup apps at Task Manager level. I did a lot more of tests restarting every time. Nothing worked. Finally I deleted the dll. Tried to startup. The program complained the missing dll. And then I copied worldgeneral.dll back to the bin folder. And miracle! DCSW started up. I did not need any verify file process. BTW, the problem came from nowhere. There is no explanation at all of the origin of the error but amy be Windows related. I thought this could help future users that may need to solve this issue. I am having a lot of problems with this game, mostly related with crashes at mission loading level. A few BSODs as well. I have learned to clean my computer before playing (using Chrome or other apps is forbidden before playing DCSW). Crashes are everywhere, at any map and any module. But this Error 0xc0000142 is something new.
  20. If you are fighting with the Magic, use the Nav Update / Magic unlock control and a square (Vertical Narrow Search) will appear in the upper hud. Try to get to the desired target. If it gets locked again to an undesired aircraft (like a friendly), unlock again. I have my unlock control programmed in the keyboard for U, which is not used by default in the Mirage. There are other ways. Check the page 138 in Chuck's Guide. Or better check the full part 9 If you are fighting with the 530, use the SVI or Spirale close combat hud modes. CMD forward - aft. Unlock with the depress button. Page 106. I also re-lock on with the TDC caret in the radar, provided the bunch is not all over me
  21. The easiest and fastest way to use the Magic is pressing M in the keyboard and point the upper cross in the HUD to your target. When the Magic detects a target, it will start a growling noise. Shoot when you are close to the aircraft. If you want to unlock just press N. This is the easiest way, but using the PCN, radar and close combat hud modes are more "complex" ways to use the Magic.
  22. The Mirage is currently my only hf module and I am pretty happy with it. Great dogfighter. Not yet an expert with A2G weapons. I downloaded the F-18 and Supercarrier to test, but I can't stop playing the Mirage during these days. Anyway I probably will purchase the F-18.
  23. No more need for airports in DCSW :-)
