  1. Yeah, it is being a good Wingie I had at times more upload (1.8 Mb/s) than download (1.7 Mb/s). But then that makes it more appropriate, remember back when the Tomcat was still in service that was a blindingly fast Internet Connection! ;)
  2. Don't have one......I'm rocking a "Sharkey"-Ward beard, aka a full one IV..........and since the Falklands War is 80's that counts! ;) The Man: https://grandlogistics.blogspot.com/2011/03/sharkey-ward.html
  3. It would be interesting to have Poland as a Country and as a scenery too. The Mix of Different weapon systems in the Polish Armed Forces is interesting. On this not the chzech would also be interesting. Now a scenery map with Poland, Germany and Czechia, now that would be interesting, especially if it extends eastward a bit so you´ll really be able to pull of that Kaliningrad scenario. Hmm if I could dream I would rather like a full map of the Balticum, with Sweden too. It would be especially interesting as you could really operate at the edge of the Flankers Action radius. But yeah, I would like to see the Black Sea finished first, I liked flying on the Krim. Putting in the Polish would be especially interesting as it would make Visual ID sometimes necessary. So bring on the Poles! Please!
  4. Hmm i will make a full backup before i try that, if i try that. The idea behind hardlinking the users folder is that a lot of other games park their savegames there. And thanks for the info, half-knowledge gives one more trouble than not knowing. Because then you try without knowing the consequences!:music_whistling: Still thinking about getting it now via d2Drive or wating for the box.......such a hard question...............on the other hand the boys will kill me if i get it know.............decisions, decisions.........:D
  5. Thanks Nate, Just in case, what would happen if i do this to the whole users folder? So i just know the consequences, since it would give me some peace of mind if i could put the users folder off C:. So if i make a symlink for the whole users folder, it would make the sytem go SNAFU? Clear skies and many happy landings Wolve
  6. @Nate It is, a big one to me. Thanks for the help, the other solution that was told to me was to move the User folder. Of which i´m a bit wary, since i do not know how it would interfere with the copy protection. So basically that symlinks would tell the system that the folder is still on C: while the actual folder might be on say.....D:? So the system thinks Users/Username is still on C: but in reality it is on D:? I´m sorry i´ve never heard of those symlinks before and i try to understand it. So how would you do the whole procedure after the obligatory system backup?
  7. There is another version of Windows 7 besides 64 bits? :D I use a Multiboot, Win 7 Pro 64 bit for modern games and WinXP Pro 32-bit as a fall back for old Classics like Gothic 1 and 2, since there are no german versions on GOG.com and i wont play gothic in any other Language, DCS in English? No problem, Mass effect neither but never Gothic!
  8. I´d second the 2500K bundles, a lot of power for the value. And i could put in my Auzentech X-fi Forte, without all those question about it interfeering with the PCIe X16 slots. Still wait until the SATA Controller problem is solved. I do not suggest the AMDs since money does not seem to be a problem here. Who is the Manufacturer of the PSU? And what Case do you use? For the Cooling (you know getting the air out of the case, english is not my mother language ;)) . @Rusty_M I bet it was a good feeling, wasn´t it? A lot of sweat and nerves and somewhere in between you nearly want to give up (for me its the laying of the cables), but when you finally press the power button, now that is a good feeling, no?
  9. Dropping my two cents in here, too. The Phenom II 955BE is definately worth its money, I´ve got one running at 3,8 Ghz with a Scythem Mugen 2 as a cooler, on the same voltage as on 3,2 ghz. Its running at 1.375 V. So it delivers a lot of bang for the buck. The 460 SE? Isn´t that the Slow Edition? I would not take a SE version. The 560Ti delivers a lot more performance, some of the Members in the german LockOn Forum own those and they have been full of praise for them. The Big Question about OC is the Options of the Mainboard and the cooling abilities of the Case. And a good Cooler, too. So if you want to overclock, and owning an 955 BE there is no reason not too..........;) you should put in a good cooler like the scythe Mugen 2. The fans of the case seem a bit weak too. Oh and forget about Fans in the side-panel, they only disrupt the airflow. So what are you willing to spend on the Case? How should it look? Weight? Windowkit or no windowkit? Should it look rather reserved, classy elegant or can it look more extreme? I would guess LianLi is out of the Question;) . Another tipp is to always replace the fans in a a Case, they are rarely really good. Usually its not wise to buy the cheapest case, they only give you trouble while building...........that does not mean you have to buy a case for 200-300 Bucks though! :) I have a slightly modified PC-7FNW (window Kit and the topcover with 2 x140mm, Lighting, different fans and a Fan Controller) so i did not buy an ultra expensive LianLi So how about the Antec Three hundred? its just 20 Bucks more, question though is the noise level of the fans. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129066 A Fan Controller is something you might want to plan in as a later addition, its very nice to turn the fans silent while working, i use the Scythe Kaze Master Pro, great value. Not the most expensive but its got good features for the price and its not to flashy.
  10. It would be nice to be able to choose the folder for the saves and the missions manually. I do not like the Decision to put the mission into the User/Userfiles folder at all. Since it is still on C:\ per standard, it just bloats this drive and it counters all the work i do for data security by placing my files out of C: and out of standard folders. Yep a virus or any malware, attacks every folder, but the first attacked are always the standard folders, since everyone has them. I know that i could place, those folders out of C: and i will try to put it on another drive. The logbook is one thing, but loosing ones missions on wich i work hard, that would suck big time. This adds another thing to watch and backup on my list. I can not understand the reasoning behind putting the missions in the Userfiles. And i do not think giving us the option would be too hard, i mean in lightroom you can do it too. Otherwise an automated backup after each shutdown would be nice, especially if it works with incremental backups. It won´t discourage me from buying, thanks for developing it. I appreciate your efforts for the Combat Flight Simulation Genre.
  11. @EtheralIN I´ve reinstalled the mods again, and it seems to work this time. Sorry that i didn´t provide you with a track yet, i seem to forget to save them at the end of the mission! I suppose the Tacview files wouldn´t help you? I will further test the mission, and see what happens. The last Time i flew i could lock them up just fine, though i was at co-altitude at that time.
  12. Hello community, it seems like i got a bug here in the Mission "Su-27 Cover Peacekeepers". I just always loose the radar contact with the first Su-25 group, whenever i try to lock them up. The Su-25Ts are ok, i usually get them locked up just fine. However whenever i press the button for locking up on my X-52 the Radar contact immediately vanishes, and even by slewing the antenna i can´t find the contact again. I´m using ILV mode, no high or medium prf, though this particular problem has shown up even with them. The bank angle is around 20-60 50 degrees, so not excessive. Well end of the story since i cannot lock them up, i usually get in trouble with them, and often shot down. It is quite frustrating. I´m just starting again in the A2A field after flying the A-10 for around four years, but i am able to work with the radar, though i am still learning. Edit: They are not notching me all the time? I attacked them from slightly above......i needed to depress the antenna one stop down but that was it. The patch status is 1.2.1 patched from the boxed version. The CPU is a Phenom II X4 @3,8 ghz. This has happened both with the non-overclocked and the overclocked CPU. Operating system is Windows 7 Pro 64-bits. Direct X9 is status 9.28. TrackIR 5 and SST in use. Edit: Mods used are: Joint pack 1.7, Tomcatz Russian Navy pack 1.5, Ricardos HD pits, Tacview 0.95, Ronins Soundmod, Blue Cockpit lights A-10 and F-15, Jumpers F-15 pit, Editor Templates and Blindspots Modded ME. So does anyone have this problem too? And could you help me? Clear skies and many happy landings Wolve
  13. Simmer did you try to look in every direction before starting the sim? It seems "feature" is still persisting, atleast it helps me to get better fps. So you should look fully up and down, left and right even towards the tail, that seems to help that everything is loaded. Edit: Did you patch it to 1.2.1?
