Yeah, given that is one of the viggens fairly unique characteristics (along with the Harrier and some other Saabs) I really hope ED or LNS find a way to make use of this. It would be great to be able to corden off a strip of road and place some temporary assets so we could land the Viggen on a highway and re-fuel/re-arm etc. It would be fun to do for starters, but more than that it would be extremely useful in certain situations. I agree, and fortunately VEAO are on the case.

Can never please everyone. I think it's clear from the majority of posts on here that the Viggen would be a very welcome announcement.

Don't like the FW-190 in DCS at all personally.

I'm really liking the look of the vive. But ultimately I'll buy the headset with the best screen and overall performance. I'm certainly not rushing in to a purchase. I've waited this long anyway..

Enjoyed this one as ever, thank you again for taking the time to do these. Nevada looks nice with its new colours, and the L-39 looks great as ever. -

Me too, All you need to do is glance at a twin seat Typhoon, Gripen, Jaguar etc etc, the elongated lines and extra curves always add to the aesthetics for me. Even more bulbous examples such as the Hawker Hunter and Lightning. I'd love to see twin seaters in DCS, but I can see why they aren't being made in favour of their single seat counterparts (when the option is there) The single seaters generally have more performance, focus and capabilities. And it isn't a simple case of adding an extra seat ect to the existing single seat modules, they would require whole new flight models etc. The Mirage 2000 may actually be an exception though, the 2000D could make for a great module and just happens to be a nicer looking twin seat version...

Pre-Purchase M-2000C for DCS World by RAZBAM
Python replied to Wags's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
Hence the confusion, does incomplete mean SFM, or something better, just not finished? -
Seems it is selling okay so far.. If you guys would like to make a Mirage 2000D in future, I wouldn't complain..
-
Thanks for the write up smiley! Looking forward to trying out the flight model.

Pre-Purchase M-2000C for DCS World by RAZBAM
Python replied to Wags's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
I think the confusion is more about what it will have upon release rather than what it will have eventually which a has been confirmed as an EFM. -
I rarely play with the ww2 stuff, but I own them all, mostly purchased at full price and I would say they are worth every penny. Given how much you have spent on hardware, I'd say just go ahead and buy a few, or the p-51d at least which is my personal favourite. I'll defend dcs to the hilt but it is clear the ww2 side needs work. My biggest gripe has always been visibility, I find it awkward and down right annoying at times trying to spot aircraft, fortunately this issue is being fixed later in the month. This should see me putting the older aircraft to use much more often. I agree on the damage model for AI aircraft which is my second biggest issue. It is a mystery at times, I've pumped lead into targets until they're smoking like the shady guy in the X files and they just shake it off like nothing is wrong. It would be nice to see this changed in future but I have no idea if it is a priority. I do think the positives are very much there however and should be considered. It is possible to have plenty of fun with the combat side of things. And tell me where else you can fly such a realistic Mustang outside of being lucky enough to own a real example. WW2 combat might not be perfect in dcs just yet, but the actual aircraft are excellent and are worth every penny simply to learn how to operate them and have fun flying around for me. I don't like the 190 at all, but that's just me I'm sure. I'm very much looking forward to the Spitfire and p-47, as well as some proper campaigns with correct assets which will kick start dcs WW2 seriously I'm sure and lift it above any competition... Exactly where it should be.

Not sure if wags will use third party aircraft in his streams, but it sure would be nice to see him fly the Mirage, if only so we can hear the real in game sounds etc.

Next DCS (US) Fixed Wing Aircraft Wish List
Python replied to diecastbg's topic in DCS Core Wish List
It's hardly obscure. I'm happy to see almost anything made to DCS standards personally. I'd buy the Super Tucano in heart beat. In fact, we're getting the Shorts built version of the Tucano (RAF trainer) from VEAO and I couldn't be happier about it... Neither could my 10 mates. -
Next DCS (European) Fixed Wing Aircraft Wish List
Python replied to Busterbvi's topic in DCS Core Wish List
It's a long list, easy to miss stuff... The Harrier is on it already. SAR I believe. I'm hoping we'll see a more modern RAF variant also, GR.7/9. -
Oh that sounds like a good idea, I wonder why that isn't in the game as standard?
-
It's probably safe to assume that is just the AI Mig 23.

M-2000C for DCS World by RAZBAM - Available for Pre-Purchase
Python replied to MemphisBelle's topic in M-2000
Nope, I paid $59.99 for the Hog on 24/2/11... Wish I'd bought it a few days earlier. I agree this one is a little pricey, but that's Razbams call so they must be confident the product is worth it, as long as it doesn't become the norm. -
Good news!

I think even a hardcore sim like this needs to find a balance between realism and fun/convenience. Even basic repairs could take hours, maybe days. You could always just pause it if you really want tho sit twiddling your thumbs for a realistic amount of time. I'm not sure anybody else would wish to do the same. I would rather have a visual ground crew myself.

Same thing ultimately. Not sure if it's ready yet, but it looks to fly quite nicely in the teaser trailer. -
