I fly KA-50 a lot and the trees near the ground look way better but the frame rate hit for me is pretty bad. 4k monitor.

There was a guy posting a tool to make it much simpler and I think ED squashed it, even if they didn't they seem to not think multi monitor is very important, we pay for their stuff but they still expect paying customers to have to go through the UNFRIENDLY process of trying to figure out the math, through trial and error. I would completely agree with this if this were some armature community project! Best of luck to you, I'm too old to work for something I'm paying for already, so I no longer invest in the thing.

Why in the hell should anyone have to do anything extra other then simply click update? With any other NON FREE software this would be totally unacceptable. It is a pitiful state of affairs.

It's normal for this company to treat all customers as beta testers and co developers, by making customers write batch files for simple things they refuse to fix.

Nobody at DCS will address this update mess. The updates are a POS mostly anyway, normally 4 gb of data not even needed for my install. The update process is akin to doing a kitchen remodel with a hand grenade. The old box of chocolates, "you just never know what you're going to get". I'm getting the impression that DCS believes that there are thousands of people trying to steal their GAME. Yes I said GAME lol. Most of these "updates" have contained code that has NOTHING to do with the CHANGE LOG!

It happens nearly every Multi giga byte update, even If I don't sign for a couple of weeks there is a two hour update every time and when it's done random modules have lost their licensing as well as I lose any campaign progress, I have talked to the "experts" from DCS and they last word to me was "that's the way it is" So I once again am forced to cut my losses and stop messing with this mess! I've burned four licenses so far!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No hardware changes and no software changes I just hadn't been logged on in quite awhile I read the FAQ and see no reason why I'm having this issue I managed to find the password for black shark I don't know what else I lost yet.

Hello the last Huge update ~15 GB, I lost some joystick functions as usual but this time it actually kept my logs, but it is requiring that I use up a activation in order to fly the aircraft I already paid for, so if this keeps up my activation's will run out after a few more "updates". I can't recall any update that hasn't destroyed something. I wonder why the updates never go well for me, yet I see very few other people complaining about this issue?

Funny we pay for many many years and still we have to kludge this together just because DCS got in a fight with a guy who made an application to do all this automatically. Such a shame DCS is still a kludged mess even today they expect paying customers to hack this shit.

I find this fascinating I have not heard that DCS was working on utilizing the existing Vulcan api's which work on all windows platforms at this time as well as Linux. So could you be so kind as to post a link to the announcement by DCS about this? Thanks in advance. Right lol the old "show a competitors flight sim" it's pretty worn as well, as long as we use that as a standard it will be what it is. I'm not complaining as you see I'm simply critiquing, It's obviously an improvement but as I say I am still underwhelmed, but that doesn't matter because it wasn't designed for my needs. I just thought ONE SINGLE comment about how it's not the greatest thing since buttered toast was invented. You folks at ED aren't expected to be on the same level as the huge developers and it's nothing to be embarrassed about you do great with the incredibly limited resources you have at hand.

I feel like the first guy to report that the Emperor has no clothes. I can't express how underwhelmed I was, settings as recommended in the forums, great frame rates and yes much nicer but still looking ten years old. Scream at me all you like youngsters, but that's the way I see it way too much hype for so little. Nonetheless I am very happy that folks are digging it. I hope you folks don't hurt yourselves patting each other on the back so vigorously.

Apparently you're not the only person on this planet who uses DCS. Read the above exchanges and by all means tell them how ridiculously simple it is. There was a project that got squashed like a bug that had a gui for doing this very thing but it got killed! It's crazy to still have to be kludging this shit together!

No there has been no progress with multi screen, you still have to mess with the lua files to get it right can take a very long time for me. If something changes I have to start over. There was once a third party multi display add on that would have been awesome but that was smashed before it took off because of some disagreement between the author and DCS. I guess DCS doesn't care much for making setting up multi monitors a very easy task from the GUI.. Stuff posted above is just repeating the same old same old, if your monitors are all the same then a small child can do it..

The only thing it has in common with a memory "leak" is the word memory.
