  1. The Mirage III/5 is very similar in size to the F-5 (they're both pretty small). Mirage 5 is the bigger dimensions-wise, and it is longer than the F5 by roughly a metre.
  2. Oh man, if only I could wind the clock back four years and buy a Tarmac Aces Mirage 2000 stick :(
  3. Mirage III or F-105 would be fantastic. Imagine the six day war, or launching from Thailand for down town Hanoi in the thud. Probably too epic.
  4. Yeah I don't know why nobody has gone for the Mirage III yet. Finest looking jet ever made.
  5. Phantom would be great, Mirage III imo is also equally iconic and well matched. Either one would canvas a lot of countries and conflicts!
  6. The French really know how to make a beautiful jet (RAZBAM too I suppose :P).
  7. Looks good! Quite a unique cockpit really.
  8. An obviously jocular comment will always bring the white knights out of hiding, audax. Just pretend flight simming warrants such a response, make no sudden movements as it may cause the forum user to instinctively attack you, and back away slowly and cautiously.
  9. The time frame for the sale of these sticks is still up in the air at the moment apparently

    Release??

Haha, well this isn't really the case for everyone is it? No it won't be on my harddrive for a very, very long time unless it releases this month. Some might say that a day or two wouldn't do the MiG-21 any justice anyway and they'd be right. Ah well :)

    Release??

Tomcat? Leatherneck are slaves to single seat delta wing fighters. Here's an educated guess for project 2 (I use the term "educated guess" rather than "confirmed" in order to preserve some of the surprise for Leatherneck's upcoming announcement ;)) Note: Post not to be taken seriously...
  12. I've been trying to find out more about this Igor Valenchenko. Sounds like a badass. Anyone turn anything up? I know not a whole lot about these African skirmishes, been an interesting read thus far!
  13. Awesome find, the backstory to this scheme is too good.

    Release??

Here's another obvious one: BFM like rubbish and you're still going to get shwacked no matter how impressive your mount is...

    Release??

Damn right there's gonna be some dead Eagles and lack of challenge thought it may be, I'd consider it my obligation to 'tidy' up the sky of the odd A-10C.
  16. I'm sure they are aware that anyone with MS Paint is able to fake a screenie ;)
  17. There's an A-4 for DCS? With an almost complete flight model? Link please ;)
  18. Oh ok then hegykc, I can take a hint. If you want me to test your F-18 prototype I'll help... ;) Pictures at least though. I'm intrigued, the 3d models were so good.
  19. Who knows. Maybe? I haven't been one to get heavily into release date discussions in the past, but all those months (two years?) ago when the MiG-21 was announced, and shortly thereafter the 3rd party modules that came after it, I thought (jokingly, but now in retrospect perhaps foolishly) as long as one of the 3rd party fast jets is released before I leave in July 2014 I'll still be able to fly it! :( Its almost amusing to see the release dates shack that month after all this time! On the bright side, by the time I'm back there should be quite a few new aircraft I guess? Edit: Sorry if that seems like a bit of a whinge. Years ago as a falconeer I couldn't imagine we'd have this coming, so I am now more educated on dev time required and nonetheless very grateful to the 3rd party teams!
  20. That would be no different to a real RIO :smilewink:

    Book Club!

I quite enjoyed "100 Missions North" by Ken Bell, a great book from a Thunderchief pilot who flew in Vietnam. Edit: whoa, probably should have checked the date on that post
  22. Skyhawk is a close second for me. The Skyhawk and Mirage would make a lot of people across the globe happy. For the Israelis, Argentinians and Aussies who operated both - doubly so! Although I can't complain about the Phantom; everyone operated those too.
