  1. Yep, I get this too, along with poorer performance.
  2. Just a belated thanks to everyone in this thread. I'm a Viggen driver and just stormed in to the front room muttering something about being shot down by a ship to the wife! Thanks for the posts. Plenty to think about!
  3. I know I'm late on this, but I'd also like some Swedish with my Viggen (tack så mycket ED!) and English English as opposed to American English (no offence meant) as a switchable option would be nice too.
  4. I think you may have a point!
  5. The issue for me is knowing what "real" is, I suspect.
  6. Hello! Ah, so it's fairly typical then? The PD in game is 1, and is 1.7 in the Oculus app. In that case, it's time for a GPU and CPU upgrade! Any excuse will do. Thanks.
  7. Hello all! I'm one of those folks who adores DCS in VR, but seems to spend more time trying to make it not run horribly than actually "playing" it (playing seems like a frivolous word with DCS!) I have, I think, a reasonable machine: Intel i5 processor, RTX 2060S GPU, SSD, 32GB RAM. I'm using Windows 10 and a Quest 2 with a link cable at 90hz and 1.7x resolution. The settings I'm using in DCS are modest, so no shadows, simple clouds and water, very little clutter visually, MSAA at 2x, Anisotropic Filtering at 8x. On top of this, I've just installed OpenXR, which does, in an untweaked state, smooth things out nicely. The menu is a bloody mare in my opinion though! In 2D, I'm getting about 90+ FPS, but in VR only about 20-25. Do any of you kind folks have any thoughts please?
  8. Hello All! Wow, this is a big community which I hope to become a part of. I'm a life-long military aviation nut and I've flown a fair bit in the real world. DCS in VR just blows my tiny mind!!! I've a bit of a thing for older jets which aren't all-singing, all-dancing. Where's the fun in that? With that in mind, I enjoy the brute that is the Viggen, and Sabre and would love to see a Hunter, Tornado, Buccaneer et al. Maybe even a nice cute little Sea Venom or a challengingly-underpowered Jaguar?! in any event, I'm not very knowledgable yet and probably only get an average of 4 hours a week to fly......but by 'eck, I really do enjoy it! I'm a guitarist by trade, so I'm used to complicated stuff which takes forever to learn! just as well..... Best wishes, Ains
  9. Thanks for the reply WinterH. I may give that (another) try. Who knows?
  10. Hi All, After several months of trying fixes, I still have no FF whatsoever with the Sabre. The other modules are fine. I'm quite disappointed frankly. I'm using a MS FF2. are there any more thought on the subject? Kindest, Ains
  11. Hi All, I'm very new to, and very impressed by, DCS. However, I have no force feedback with my F86. I'm using a Sidewinder 2 and it's fine with the other aircraft I have (stock plus Viggen, Mig 15). I need to feel the onset of those stalls in the F86! Would anyone be kind enough to try to help? Best wishes, Ainsley
  12. Hi All, I'm very new to, and very impressed by, DCS. :) However, I have no force feedback with my F86. I'm using a Sidewinder 2 and it's fine with the other aircraft I have (stock plus Viggen). I need to feel the onset of those stalls in the F86. It's really bugging me, no pun intended. Would anyone be kind enough to try to help? :helpsmilie: Best wishes, Ainsley
