  1. Perhaps, FB just owns OR, OR is its own entity and could easily fail while the book of face continues. My point was that to take two weeks to figure out shipping and give out actual dates and then not deliver again means customers leave.

Not my problem. I've had my CV1 since March 28.

  2. So far, this has to be the most interesting simpit project I've seen in the last few months. I like it that you've picked something not everyone else is doing. Following the path least traveled seems rewarding.

  3. Those that are dreading the shipping slide. The way I see it, it gives ED time to get things working right in DCS World. Also it gives Nvidia and AMD time to launch their new video cards at Computex. This summer is going to be an exciting time.

Also about the poll, I pick option D. FREE, I was shipped a free CV1 that arrived March 28th because I was a DK1 Kickstarter backer.

  4. Just quickly hopped in 1.5 with my CV1, So far the resolution looks good. Better than DK2 did for instruments. I didn't have any of my controllers mapped or setup, so all I did was check out the main menu and the TF-51 on a hot start in the cockpit looking around. The initial head location and orientation was incorrect, but it was really cool looking around the cockpit. DCS World 1.5 sees the CV1 and the CV1 knows DCS World 1.5 is a 1.3 SDK enabled game. I'm sure things will only get better in the next few months.

  5. Yep. It's an AVENGER 180 setup.

Donno why they use the Avenger and Centurion names in their product. It leads to unnecessary product naming confusion. They're Icarus screens in 180 and 270 degree variants. Better just to call them Icarus 180 and Icarus 270.

  6. Over 180 degree setup limits it to just flight sim use. Regular games are limited by their lack of advanced camera control. Your setup will have to be flight sim specific if you go beyond 180 degrees.

Depends on the room you'll use it in and the ability to control ambient light. A black pearl coating like this screen is specifically designed for ambient light rooms. If you have total control over the light in a room you could just as soon go with a white or gray screen. Screen material used is situational to the end use location.

The main difference is that when you rear project the projection does not have any issue with the simpit you end up using blocking the projection, because the projection is behind the screen. In general, rear projection is more expensive and requires a much larger room to implement.

Being blinded in any scenario, I don't see that as a possibility.

  7. The first two photos are shot with an Australian camera.

I have a friend with a B-52 simulator. Typically fly out of Nellis and use Hoover Dam as a bomb target. Really close to Nellis and it's easy to find. His setup is in FS9. Can't wait to see this in DCS 2.0 NTTR.
