    Help with F-16 livery

That works! Thank you very much for your time.
  2. Hi there. I'm not a livery expert- far from it. There is this livery that I would like to use, however upon initial download and install, it does not show up in the mission editor. I figured since it was created many DCS versions ago, the file structure changed. I did some file comparisons and made a simple change in the description by adding a "}". It shows up in the mission editor, HOWEVER now the cockpit is all washed out (see attached). Any ideas on how to possibly fix this? Thanks in advance! null
  3. Thanks for this. It has cured my 2.9 MT issues. 2.8 MT was fine. For reference, I have an i9 13900KS. 22 were parked. 2.9 MT (DLSS on or off) was a slideshow. Ran this app and all are unparked. Now, 2.9 MT with DLSS, max settings, fps is 200+ and at times hitting my monitor's max refresh of 240 fps (Samsung NEO G9)
  4. One of the most challenging tasks to accomplish in DCS is air-to-air refueling. In this video we will go over a comprehensive list of tips and techniques that could help you become more proficient and consistent at aerial refueling in DCS.
  5. While landing on runway 7 at Saipan Intl, the NDB (SN) appears unrealistically too tall. Even on glideslope, I would guesstimate that I clear it by no more than 50 feet. Any lower than prescribed glideslope and slightly to the right, it's a definite collision. The 3rd picture below is from Google maps streetview. Anywho, lovely map.
  6. From ED's Facebook post today: The four runways at North Field were lettered "A", "B", "C" and "D" from north to south and were said to resemble the deck of a busy aircraft carrier. The North Field airbase was the first loading and launching point for the atomic bomb attacks on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan. At the end of WWII the base was placed in a standby status and officially closed in March, 1947.
  7. The Mosquito, Apache, Hind and Kiowa offer fantastic potential opportunities for VAICOM like it does for the F-14. I suppose we'll have to see how the crew menu functionality pans out in each module after their release. @Hollywood_315, you've got your work cut out for you! The future is looking bright for DCS!
  8. That and this will be another great opportunity for VAICOM to develop an extension for the Apache like they did for the F-14 AI RIO.
  9. 20+ years ago, so many hours in Jane's Longbow/LB2... it has come full circle. The stars are re-aligning. Thank you Eagle Dynamics.
  10. AI RIO Report Just ran across this the other day. Don't know if has been reported. When saying Scan Elevation for use with the Show Messages/Hints Only feature, the on-screen window shows Scan MIDDLE. However, the correct call would be Scan Level.
  11. SteamVR(Steam) just runs in the background while you're in DCS standalone.
  12. What exactly are you having issues with the new G2? For starters, make sure you have the latest Windows 10 build. Windows Mixed Reality Portal will be updated automatically. As for SteamVR- assuming you have Steam installed- look for and install Windows Mixed Reality for Steam VR. SteamVR will allow you to make some resolution and other tweaks for games. Launch Mixed Reality Portal Launch SteamVR. To use VR in DCS, in main menu of DCS, click on the options (gear) icon up top. Then go to the VR tab to the far right. Check the box for Enable Virtual Reality Headset. Check the box for use mouse (recommended) unless you plan to use the hand controllers. Click OK at the bottom right and DCS will restart in VR. Let us know if you need further assistance.
