Post MotherBoard Specs Of Bricked TM Warthogs Here Please
Maverick replied to twobells's topic in Thrustmaster
My throttle didn't brick, at least now yet, but it's been plugged in for over two years without problems. Yesterday it took ages to get past the POST screen, it halted for minutes during "initializing USB controllers". Keyboard was sluggish as hell but once I got to Windows, everything seemed fine. Unplugging the throttle solved the slow boot problem. Then I ran a configuration file. Windows started searching for a HID driver for the throttle which it couldn't find. Clicking "Get firmware" from TARGET crashed it. I uninstalled drivers, installed them again, reflashed the firmware with the same, newest version it already had. Problem solved, for now :geek: -
Has someone seriously read a 670+ page manual sitting in front of a computer? Guess I'm old school, for wishing to read it in bed for example. And no, I don't have an IPad. So no DCS A-10 for me until there is a printed manual available. And don't get me started what I feel about releasing a software as download only at first(OLD school).
-
Seriously, it's bad enough having to pay extra to get a printed manual but to have it released six months after the product itself is pretty lame.
-
 Not like this ED. Not like this.
-
New pilot? Well not yet. I'm waiting for the release of the printed manual before buying this sim. You hear that ED? I would like to get it sooner than later.

Nice to see that box again. I sent my F-22 to Thrustmaster UK for repairs back in '98 in that original box. They decided to send it back without it. I used F-22/TQS in 1998-2008. During that time it developed tremendous spiking and about 2cm center play instead of 1mm!
-
One more reason to wait for boxed release.. In the early Falcon 4.0 days, reboot after every mission was a popular method to prevent crashing :)

Go get it: http://ts.thrustmaster.com/eng/index.php?pg=view_files&gid=1&fid=3&pid=311&cid=5 edit: LED control works great. When you turn them off, they stay off, even after reboot. Also LED intensity can be adjusted and those five previously unused LEDs can be toggled on and off.

HOTAS Warthog updated drivers 2011-02-22
Maverick replied to ACUTech's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Installed. LEDs now shut down with the computer. But I'm still going to unplug it when not in use. Now we need a new version of TARGET that allows backlight adjustment. I think they should be off by default. -
HAS Anyone Looked inside the TM WH throttle?
Maverick replied to Ziggy's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Asus P5Q Deluxe mobo here. I have decided not to use the Warthog before we get more information. I've been afraid it goes dead everytime I plug it in. -
Problem with Warthog Throttle
Maverick replied to Jg2001_Rasputin's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Question: Do the owners of bricked throttles have their computers connected to grounded or ungrounded outlet? Older homes have only ungrounded outlets in bed/livingrooms. http://www.epanorama.net/documents/pc/ungrounded_pc.html -
Problem with Warthog Throttle

Anyone else uses flight gloves?
Maverick replied to aelfewulf's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I would point out the hygienic aspect of wearing gloves. Sweat and skin from your hands tends to accumulate on the stick and throttle.. But I don't use them. Wearing protection takes too much sensation away... -
Warthoggers: Updated firmware released
Maverick replied to topdog's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Updated without problems. Didn't have any problems before, other than the LED backlights not turning off. It didn't have any effect on that. -
TM:WH - slider thing, what use?
Maverick replied to brewber19's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Guess I am an orangutan, because I use it as a zoom and think it works just great in that. -
You guys should read SimHQ forums too: October, 15 2010 05:56 PM I can't speak about anywhere else, but I just learned from Thrustmaster the first shipment from manufacturing arrived in the USA today. Anticipate first availability to be sometime the latter part of next week (as planned). http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/3116553/Re_Thrustmaster_HOTAS_Warthog_.html#Post3116553

Offical Thrustmaster Warthog Release
Maverick replied to StageFright's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Can you guys imagine what would happen if it did have some annoying problem, affecting most of the owners, that manifested itself after about six months? It could get really ugly... -
They are only guessing and really know nothing. That date will continue to postpone to late October...

Thrustmaster Warthog Preview CheckSix + Video!
Maverick replied to Nightmare's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I can find only about ten websites that are selling it. Only one of them(ShopBLT) gives out a release date, all the others say out of stock. Now are you seriously going to trust ONE retailer in its release estimate? -
Thrustmaster Warthog Preview CheckSix + Video!
Maverick replied to Nightmare's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I wonder how can we bring out concerns about quality, when nobody of us normal people haven't even touched the Warthog? Honestly, it sounds like Warthog is still under development and the release is months away, not weeks.
