  1. Thanks. Good to know I’m not messing something up.
  2. Hi - Just started playing with liveries and noticed something weird in VR. If I push my head "outside" of the jet, there is a gray border right under the canopy frame. It is almost like the standard Viper color scheme (light gray forward with dark gray aft) is bleeding through. Thought this might be an issue with my liveries, but looks like it happens on ED liveries too? Here's an example using the ED IAF aggressor livery: This gray bar is not in the Main_1 .dds and also it doesn't show up in F2 external view. I have not had a chance to try this in 2D. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong (like maybe there is a different texture being used when rendering from the cockpit versus external?) or this is a bug? Thanks in advance for any help or pointers. Thanks, tw
  3. Hi, I was having trouble capturing a markpoint through the HMCS in NAV master mode. Not sure if this is a thing and wanted to check if there's a bug here or it's working as intended. Here's what I was doing, Jet in NAV master mode. DMS UP to make HUD SOI ICP 7 to select markpoint DED, DED shows HUD as source, HUD shows circle+dot cue as expected. TMS UP (long) to transfer markpoint cue from HUD to HMCS At this point, I do not see the cue on the HMCS at all if I am looking outside the cockpit. If I move my LOS back into the cockpit and look through the HUD though I see the circle+dot cue follow my LOS around the HUD (that is, I can slew it with my head within the HUD). Also, prior to transferring the cue (step 4), I don't see the circle+X symbology in the HMCS indicating the current markpoint cue is out of HMCS FOV. It does seem like I can capture a markpoint where the HMCS bore cross is when looking outside the cockpit though. If I TMS UP (short) twice I do see the DED coordinates update and setting that as the current steer point, I can see the steer point diamond in the HUD or HMCS roughly where I was looking. It seems like this is a bug since it's partially working, but I'm not sure if this is the way it is supposed to work. If it's a bug, I can post a track or whatever if necessary. Thanks, tw
  4. There appears to be a bug in the collision model:
  5. Away for a bit. I did try launching VRNS after DCS is at the main screen. Same behavior: translate up rather than rotate, unfortunately. BTW: Thanks for all your work on the 3090 + G2 guide. It's been hugely helpful. tw
  6. I'm unable to get it to work either in the house or for the brief periods I'm on the grid during DCS loading (not sure how to get on the grid in general aside from while DCS is loading). tw
  7. I've still got the cockpit problem. I was hoping this would fix it, but no luck for me--bummer. Same setup: DCS standalone + Reverb G2. I'm running latest Steam VR and WMR betas with latest DCS open beta and VRNS 2.08. I re-setup the environment in WMR (seated), checked the floor level in the cliff house, reset the center and recalibrated in SteamVR. I have "recenter VR Headset" in UI layer bound to the same HOTAS buttons I've setup for reset in VRNS. VRNS indicates that it's seeing both the re-center and left/right buttons on the HOTAS, but all I can do is translate up out of the cockpit. I've tried all kinds of combinations of VRNS settings (seated, auto, standing) but nothing seems to work. DCS does reset the view upon pressing the HOTAS reset combo. Continuing to look for a solution...
  8. Or have the lights turn on automatically whenever the weather at the field is IMC (a simple "ceilings less than X or visibility less than Y" check would do)?
  9. After the 2.5.6.59625 update I'm no longer seeing the "Time to Go" (TTG) line in the HUD on the Viper? There is a blank line between the slant range and distance/steerpoint lines where the TTG used to be. See the attached screen shot of the HUD taken right after starting "free flight" from the F-16 instant action on the Caucasus map, avionics are in NAV master mode. Flipping through steerpoints with the DED updates the distance/steerpoint info on the HUD and moves the highlighted steerpoint in the HSD MFD page, the TTG line remains blank. The TTG does appear up in A-G master mode with the appropriate weapon set up (e.g., MK-82 with CCRP). Not sure if I'm missing something in setup or what? Thanks, tw
