  1. I can't even get the updater to connect to download the update lol.
  2. Cant get logged in, getting error 502 and all modules are "expired" lol. I had it check for updates and it didn't find anything. Guess I will have to wait a day or so.
  3. Still having this issue, can we please get an update on this? EDIT: I just modified the mission file and fixed it for me at least. I had to take ownership of the file though.
  4. I have the same issue, my foot pedals have stopped working and I see an unknown device but cannot get rid of it. When I reboot it comes back. Has anyone been able to get rid of everything and start from scratch, minus resetting/reinstalling Windows?
  5. Not sure if this has been answered or not. I had to reinstall my system a short while back, bought a new NVMe drive and wanted to install everything to it. When I went to activate it appears that several of the older modules have the starforce activation and I used the last one that was available. I know that they will give you another activation around 30 days but I was wondering if there were any plans to replace the older modules without starforce and if we would be able to exchange our originals for those that do not require the starforce DRM? Thanks, Spadje
  6. Pretty much everything, minus WW2 stuff puts me at 117. Not add on mission packs or anything....lol well, looks like I need a 1TB SSD...or at least another 512GB SSD...
  7. Lol, I am uploading faster than I am downloading....
  8. Oh well guess I better get back to work, wont be able to play for another 8 hours anyway....
  9. Getting the same error here. I do see that they have a known bug issue in the module and that they are fixing it ASAP, wonder if they pulled the update then.
  10. Ive looked into this too and cannot determine if its actually making a hit on performance, but so far I have not found a way to disable the screen displaying what I see in the headset. If anyone knows of a way to disable it that would be great, just in case it is slowing down performance.
  11. Make sure you have the Steam VR installed, and also the Windows Mixed Reality for Steam VR. Once those are installed, launch the Windows Mixed Reality and what I normally do is once I am in the cliff house, I then raise my visor and launch DCS from the desktop icon, it then launches Steam VR and the game loads in the visor.
  12. On the VR tab I have the pixel density set to 1.4, that makes things pretty clear and I can see airborn targets fairly easy without labels on. I have not toyed much with the settings below since Steam has fixed a lot of issues with the WMR. With these settings in the Nevada Test range map I am getting 70-90 FPS in Vegas I get about 50+ and it feels pretty smooth. I may toy around with these later and see if I can up the texture quality and visibility range without to much cost to FPS. Textures: Medium Terrain Textures: Low Civ Traffic: Low Water: Low Visib Range: Medium Heat Blur: Off Shadows: Medium Res Cockpit display: 512 MSAA: Off Depth of Field: Off Lens Effects: None HDR: Off Differed Shading: Off CLutter/Grass: 900 Tree visib: 60% Preload: 92400 Chimney: 1 Anistropic: off Terrain Object Shadows: Flat
  13. Sorry for the late response, got the flu shortly after getting things fixed and got behind on school work...should be able to get some information on those settings this week sometime :)
  14. So with the newest update from SteamVR Beta I can play without issue. I was able to do a few missions and there was no stuttering or crashes. It is good to see Steam taking such an interest in WMR :)
  15. I figured as much, the odd thing is whenever I change it to something other than 1 it crashes DCS...weird. Are there any settings you guys are changing in the SteamVR settings or just leaving those alone?
  16. Well I get home and the only option I see in game is pixel density, I do not see supersampling inside DCS. Eitherway I set mine to 1.4 and it would not load. I set it back to 1.0 and it will not consistently open. If I get it to run I can fly for a good while. However, if I change to a different mission or instant flight it crashes while loading. I have uninstalled everything and reinstalled but cannot get any consistency out of it...really tempted to send it back at this point :(
  17. Dang, may have to try messing with the super sampling, are you changing that in the SteamVR settings?
  18. Check your visual quality settings in the mixed reality options in Windows. Make sure it is set to auto. Then in DCS be sure to select VR for the quality, it sets the terrain and textures to low, which kind of sucks but it still looks fine.
  19. Well after a bit of testing last night I am finding that if I change the textures or the terrain textures to higher than the low setting, it crashes on load. If they are set to low it works fine. Any thoughts?
  20. So I have been testing with 2.5 and found my issue. I had gone into the Settings\Mixed Reality and selected Headset Display. From there I turned the visual quality to High and this appears to have been what was causing the issue. I turned it back to Automatic and played for about 2 hours last night without issue. It is a bit hard to read everything in the pit but the hud was clear and I was able to pick out targets in the M-2000C without tags turned on. I would have imagined my system could handle the high setting but apparently I need a 1080ti lol. I can tell a little difference in the quality but overall I am pleased with it, it just looks beautiful and adds more realism to the Sim....just cant wait for the F-18 module beta release :)
  21. Good video that DanielNL brought up *The WMR system does work with Non Steam versions of DCS.* So I just picked up the Acer AH101 and am blown away at how easy it was to configure and get DCS to run. Also the quality seems good but could be better. I noticed that if I have the settings cranked up, which usually work fine on 24inch 1920x1080 monitor, I get severe screen flicker. I also noticed that if I change the pixel density from 1.0 to anything else it crashes on loading into the pit. I was wondering what everyone else is setting the game to run at using the Windows Mixed Reality. Overall I am impressed with how little this device costs, compared to Vive or the Rift. The performance seems to be good, but difficult to see everything in the pit perfectly. I have not tried aerial combat or even target acquisition yet so just wondering if there are any tips, or tweaks anyone else has found to work really well. I know this is newer technology, just released late last year but I could not pass up the deal on this setup. System Specs Intel i7 4790K 16GB DDR3 Intel 600P 512GB M.2 NVMe eVGA 1080 SC 8GB Thrustmaster Warthog
  22. Woo hoo, 10 more hours until I get to play :) Work, school, and a 1.5yo son. Just not enough time in the day :(
  23. I think I need to get sick after lunch and go home early :D
  24. But it prompts me to install the F-5E when I go to my module manager :D I got a bit too excited. I will give it an hour or so.
  25. Hmm getting an error when trying to install it. I get "Unknown module F-5E" lol. I will give it a bit before trying again.
