  1. The USS Arkansas would make for a great addition to the WW2 asset pack especially with the coming Pacific theatre. Not only would it be relevant in the pacific but would also be relevant to the Normandy map as it was there for the invasion. here is a brief history of the USS Arkansas in WW2 Following the outbreak of World War 2, Arkansas conducted neutrality patrols in the Atlantic prior to America's entry into the war. Thereafter, she escorted convoys to Europe through 1944; in June, she supported the invasion of Normandy, and in August she provided gunfire support to the invasion of southern France. In 1945, she transferred to the Pacific, and bombarded Japanese positions during the invasions of Iwo Jima and Okinawa. After the end of the war, she ferried troops back to the United States as part of Operation Magic Carpet. Arkansaswas expended as a target in Operation Crossroads, a pair of nuclear weapon tests at Bikini Atoll in July 1946.
  2. I hope I'm missing something here but I can't seem to assign a moving trigger zone to a train and then have an aircraft trigger a message. Train_test2 (1).miz
  3. Does anyone feel that the pilot damage model is a bit off? I have on numerous occasions pumped .303 and 20mm into the side of and into the cockpit of an aircraft to no effect. Even I myself have found a 109 on my six and have watched it's rounds go straight into my face through the cockpit and have it only 'wound' my pilot. Since flying in DCS, I have only once bled out at the controls of my craft. I have seen mentions of this on other posts talking about the DM of 109's and 190's but only in passing, saying that an aircraft had hits all over the cockpit but that they were still flying straight as an arrow. If anyone has tracks to attach to this thread please do. To give you an idea, GS posted a video showing him in an A-10 hit the sidepanelling of a P-47 that should have and would have killed the pilot.
  4. So I figured out that because the two flight's take off independantly of each other that the distance between to two formations is too great and my guess is that the AI won't initiate the climb to the proper WP alt unless the two flight's are properly merged to create the 'big formation.'
  5. The Avro Lancaster would be awesome to have in the game. Having bomber streams come in at night would open up a whole other mission type for axis players and not to mention would compliment the incoming 'Mossie' quite well.
  6. I've run into an issue where my two flights of B-17's won't climb to the desired WP altitude let alone get to a decent climb speed after taking off from Manston in the Channel map. They are carrying a full load of 12 bombs and fuel but I haven't had this issue while they're air spawned. Any ideas?
  7. I encountered the same problem while tooling around in the editor hitherto discovering when I got an AI A-20 to strafe a Flak 41 and destroy it - the rest of the battery of three AAA's began to engage the A-20. Even after it's egression, they were still engaging at 5000ft (plus some) There was no Kdo assisting them or anything to help them track target's. I did another test to see if they would engage an A-20 flight after a ground attack mission using bomb's but didn't get the same effect.
