Thanks for your help. I already set my headset to never go to sleep. How do you lock the mouse to DCS window? DCS uses the whole screen, it renders the right eye image on the screen. The only way to put the mouse pointer out of DCS would be Alt-tab.

Thanks for your answer. I'll investigate the flashlight bind stuff. I periodically do a WMR clear environment. I have set the "never sleep" headset option and yet I got once this annoying panel : "do you really want to shut down the headset?"

Thank you very much for sharing all this. OpenXR gave me a nice performance enhancement. A slight minor negative effect, compared to steamVR, for me : slowly but surely, the view goes up, and I have to recenter from time to time (I have a HOTAS button for this) Other issue : sometimes WMR interferes : the WMR menu appears in the middle of a flight. Or a message : "do you really want to shut down your headset ?" Or the flashlight. In the best case, I can pause DCS, use my HP G2 controller and make this stuff desappear and resume DCS. Sometimes I can't recover.

HI rayrayblues, Are you ED staff member and is this an official answer? I'm not sure you understood the point. If my understanding is correct, checking this option should override the options set by a mission designer by my own options. This is not the case in Cerberus North campaign.

This matter doesn't specifically apply to Operation Pontus but appears very important in this campaign because you have to choose your weapons. I don't really understand how to forecast the weather with the few informations I get in the briefing, especially considering the clouds. I guess the lower the atmospheric pressure, the higher the risk of thick clouds. I experienced that 29.88 hg can give a very slightly cloudy sky. 29.82 hg heavy clouds with rain. Is it that simple? Is this the only information usefull?

However, when the "USE THESE OPTIONS FOR ALL MISSIONS" check-box is checked, the settings in the main Options screen will take priority. I tested this option (checked) in the Cerberus North campaign, it doesn't function. Best regards.

I can't understand this argument. If some people want hardcore settings, they set and lock everything to their wishes in their own DCS gameplay options. In a single player mission, locking options has no purpose. Everyone plays according to his own rules set in his own DCS options. I think forcing and locking options makes sense in multi player missions, to enforce all players playing with the same rules. Yes, I noticed you can't edit (save) a mission. It's understable. Your work, your property.

That's why you shouldn't lock. Those who want to play hard core don't use the view keys. Just like God in Paradise gave Adam & Eve the free will ...

The option to watch other aircrafts and other views are locked. OK it's a cheat. We are bound to play hardcore. I'm frustrated with that. I like to watch scenes when I have nothing better to do. For example, watch the eagles sweep the sky when you ingress, or the tornedos bomb the target when you egress. And I admit I also sometimes cheat. I'm not quite happy with this choice of the designer. We should have a choice. After all, its' not official competition or exam. I thought OK then , I'll watch the all thing afterwards, I'll save the track, get the pop corn, and watch the all story from different views. How frustrating, it's the same restrictions in watching the track than in playing the mission ! Can we change that ?

I just installed openXR and I'm currently testing. Sounds great, significant FPS improvement. BUT ; from time to time, a big circle area in the centre of the FOV appears and I get a black & white image of the real world (my PC, my office ...). I suppose it's a feature. Not a bad idea, but I didn't ask for it, and I have no idea how to remove it when it appears. It only happened since I used openXR. Can you help me ? I have HP reverb G2.

Still, I'm not an aeronautics engineer, but I don't understand correlation between in flight INS GPS realignement and CCIP ....
