  1. I found the problem. Devrims work is wonderful. I made a mistake. I unzipped the texture package, replaced one texture tile, zipped the files again. Problem was a texture folder was created within the zip file. In other words.. .there was one extra layer and DCS couldn't acces that zipped file hence the very strange blocks, white windows in my mi8. Instead of checking my zip file I kept creating different .dds files with gimp. Well, another thing learned... Thanks for your help anyways. Cheers Jozeff
  2. Hi devrim, Thanks for your reply and your wonderful work! I will try to post a picture tomorrow, busy week so no time yet. I noticed that when I started the mi8 in the free flight caucas things didn't look so dark but in the first spring tension mission the front view outside seemed to be very dark and colorless. Weird. Looks pretty dull but sideviews look bright and saturated. Cheers Jozeff
  3. Thanks but this makes my windows completely white. Strange. Any ideas?
  4. Hi guys, I find the front cockpit window a bit too dark. When I look sideways there is a lot of color and it looks vivid. My front look is very dull and washed out. Is there anything I can do about that? I fly vr and use openxr so I can change brightness etc on the fly but if I adjust the front view the rest of the screen including the interior of the hip looks ridiculously over saturated and bright. Thanks! Jozeff
  5. Hi guys, Took my old mi8 for a couple of training sessions and learning the radios and never etc. I set up some triggers like set freq to 32 Mhz and play a looped sound to practice . I tried literally everything but i don't hear anything. I did set the radios correctly volumes loud, fm/am button etc etc . I created wav and ogg files of different bitrates and different names, in a couple of folders etc The sound are perfect in the mission editor but for the love of God I don't hear them in the mi8. Not in r863, r828, yadro ... nothing . I tried all audo settings in dcs and windows 10 but that didn't help either. Can someone sme in right direction? Thanks a lot Jozeff
  6. Looks amazing! How is it going? New missions are always welcome!
  7. Wow, Thanks a lot!! You must be the most hands on developer I've ever come across. After asking my question I started fondling along with the app and some dcs settings. I changed the saved games folder (in openkneeboard) a couple of times and just when I wanted to give up I saw some documents appear in the kneeboard. Looks like it is working now. You mentioned creating a dedicated kneeboard folder in dcs. I haven't done that this morning obviously but somehow managed to get it working. If I don't create such a folder where does openkneeboard get its data from? Thanks for your help, much appreciated! Jozeff
  8. I would really like to know this also! I see a button to add a pdf file and that works perfectly but all the other folders (theater, module etc..) are empty and stay empty. Where do these tabs search for documents? I guess somewhere in the saved games folder... I have been trying for 2 hours but the tabs stay empty. Kneeboard looks perfect in vr however (if only it showed documents ) Thanks for this program, much appreciated! Jozeff
  9. Hi guys, love openkneeboard so far in vr. It is just what I was looking for. Question: I managed to add pdf file to my kneeboard (by adding a new tab and pointing to the pdf file..it is perfectly visible in dcs) but how do I add documents to, let's say, the theater tab? I tried everything for 2 hours and read a lot of stuff but it just doesn't happen. Can you put me in the right direction? The saved games folder is automatically recognized for dcs and the kneeboard shows perfectly in vr.... where does this kneeboard gets its documents from, that's the question. I tried different versions of openkneeboard and none of them seem to do what I need. I use stable version dcs 2.7. Thanks for putting me in the right directions. Jozeff
  10. Thanks guys, appreciate it! Larkin looks pretty fun indeed . I remember starting the un missions but got bored in the first mission. Is the UN campaign still worth it for a noob? Tnx!
  11. Hi all, Have been flying the huey for a couple of years but never really got the hang of it. I want to start doing it propely this time. I have bought all previous huey campaigns but never started any of them. I've read about all campaigns and their bugs and have doubts about the learning curve when things don't work as they should. Since paradise lost is the newest campaign I wanted to give that a try. Should I be doing other campaigns/training before I could manage PL or will it take me by the hand a bit before throwing me off a cliff;) Thanks for any advice! Jozeff
  12. Hi guys, I finally bought the p51 after flying huey and mi8 for quite a while. The available warthog profiles are quite old and I wonder if anyone would be willing to share their (VR) Thrustmaster warthog stick and throttle profile. I fly in VR only. I use TARGET but never really got the hang of it. I don't know if a target profile is necessary for the p51....not a very complex aircraft probably. Thanks in advance!! Jozeff
