Using twist axis? I use FFB, but only run a joystick gremlin profile that turns off rudder AP when it’s within 19% of center, that way it never goes into heading hold mode. The issue seems to be that when it tries to hold heading and exceeds the 18% authority the AP has, it trims the pedals instead(which is what the real Mi-24 would do). I never have this issue after using this profile. If you don’t want to download joystick gremlin and vjoy and run my profile best option might be to not use yaw AP or re trim the pedals whenever possible

Yes, I still don't have pedals unfortunately, so I'm stuck using a twist axis of the Sidewinder FFB 2. Will try the solution you have provided, though I trialed the Hind. Will most likely wait until it's out of early access.

Identical. Both can reach 6km before battery runs out. With a crucial difference

the Ataka is a heavier missile by 37%, it has a weaker boost stage but stronger sustain. The increase of inertia means it takes longer to build up speed and never reaches the speed of the Shturm, but maintains that speed for longer also with the help of the stronger sustain stage. The practical difference here is when both missiles reach 6km, the Ataka will be going faster. This faster speed will mean that it flies a smaller tighter spiral spinning faster, making it more accurate and able to respond to guidance inputs faster(since both missiles only have control surfaces on axis, it has to wait .5 Revolutions between making corrections when the control surfaces are pointed the right direction).

so same range and roughly same speed over 6km, but Ataka will be more accurate at long range. A friend did an active pause launch and recorded on tacview both missiles, Shturm room 12.25 seconds to reach 5km, 15 seconds to reach 6km. Ataka took 12.75 seconds to reach 5km, and 15.5 seconds to reach 6km. This was a low altitude around 100m low speed launch I believe around 80kmh, so worst case scenario almost.

in comparison, the manufacture data for 0 speed 0 altitude launch has them both reaching 5km at 14.5 seconds, and the Ataka reaching 6km at 17.6 seconds .4 seconds before battery runs out. Apparently one real life manual for Mi-24V lists speed of Shturm being 390-520 m/s, and Ataka as 350-400 m/s. My friends tacview test has 530 m/s speed for Shturm and 500 m/s for Ataka.

So it’s complicated, they both go as far, but for the increased weight the Ataka seems worth it and will have less CEP at 6km. If you go to Wikipedia and see that they list Ataka as Mach 1.6 missile and Shturm at Mach 1.2, this is a mistake where they list max speed for Ataka and average speed for Shturm

Awesome response, was curious about why I should choose one over the other, and you provided everything. Thank you.

Not sure how you got it setup but this game 100% supports multiple monitors I use 4 monitors at the moment myself 2 are screen and the other 2 are MFD with that said someone did help me with the resolution.

But I am sure someone can help you better then I can with the issue but myself I have no problems, I can see what your talking about it looks like the screen on left needs to be raised maybe 1/3 or quarter inch.    Let me see if I can find the program that I know that can help you with that possible if that is the issue, It will help you short that out maybe someone will respond before the time it takes me to find it.

Thank you. The way I'm setting it up is just in the options I choose 3 monitors and apply the resolution of 5760x1080, which is what this tutorial instructs to do so:

I'm having the same issue.  Just switched to standalone right now and my modules aren't showing.

I wonder is it linked to the Free to Play?

    Can anyone else answer?

Doesn't seem likely that somebody will answer. Decided to just delete the standalone and went back to Steam. Wanted to give my money directly to ED but no resolution was given, went and bought the modules I wanted to buy through Steam.

  6. I'm sorry if this topic doesn't belong here, mods can let me know and I'll remove it if it doesn't.

I just switched from the Steam version to the Standalone version and transferred my modules through the User Profile section just like the following URL shows: https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/223750/view/2873815732584411725

But when I open the DCS Standalone launcher and go to the modules manager, I don't see my modules to install. Do they take time to propagate or is there any additional step I need to do?

The modules already show as transferred:
