  1. Is this an error in the template? It appears the emergency text is missing on the door. I've seen it on several skins in this comp (including mine). You guys may want to fix it.
  2. Impressive! I didn't think you could improve it but you just did. Love the handprints btw.
  3. Wow! Insane level of detail. I can see you put your heart and soul into that skin. This really sets the bar high. Well done!
  4. Thanks! Btw, the skin you have in your screenshot is old. The updated version (V3) now uses the correct inverted scheme.
  5. Finished DK296 https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3319689/
  6. My entry is also a WIP, so will upload the files soon. DK296, the only mossie sent to the USSR. Delivered on 19th April 1944. DK296 was actually a MKIV, but we only have access to the MKVI, so it will have to do. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3319689/
  7. Congrats to all the winners. Also, thank you to @BIGNEWY and ED for hosting an awesome competition. I've never skinned anything in my life before (well besides rabbits) so the competition was a great incentive to dive into it and I'm hooked! I had an absolute blast, as I'm sure everyone else did.
  8. This is my final submission. Its a PLAAF P-47D captured from the Chinese Nationalist Air Force during the Chinese Civil War. file: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3315317/ Btw, this has been an awesome competition. Good luck to all participants. Changes: -Added fictional serial number -Reduced some color tones for less bling
  9. Nice. Exact air frame that I submitted 2 weeks ago. Thanks for pointing out the issues. If I change them in my skin, is that considered copying? What is the etiquette here? I'm pretty new to all this. Seems like most on this forum encourage and help each other out to get the best skins possible.
  10. Thanks Barrett_g. You're spot on. I was curious about the red band and it now makes perfect sense. It appears to be a 'danger zone' for the high pressure stage of the engine. Regarding my skin, I was actually going for the 'what if' scenario, so thanks for pointing it out. I'll be fixing and re-uploading it. On another topic, does anyone know what the flags on the fuselage signify? Is it simply the different counties the aircraft has performed in?
  11. Time for an airshow. I present the Forgotten Thunderbird. A fictional skin for the P-47D based on the early F-84F & G Thunderbirds. Enjoy! *Updated* Thanks to Barret_g for his help. Changes: - Removed the red warning band behind the cockpit (used on jets for turbine failure). - Updated flags to better represent the Thunderbirds early tours. 12. Here's my submission. A livery for the Persian Gulf map. Its a post-war P-47D for the Imperial Iranian Air Force. Enjoy! Link: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3315058/
