  1. He has been flying 64's since 2005 he has flown 6 different helicopter types, 8 if we include the 64' versions as well... I don't think he is purely subjective at all, not even close to subjective. He is also using the puma which is considered "premium" grade control type most of us don't even have access to, so yeah like I said his review is not subjective at all IMO. He is saying its like nothing he had flown before. That's miles off to my ears. IMO
  2. Its worrying that the FM according to him seems mile's off.... I still haven't bought the AH-64 and waiting for the trial as I always want to test the FM's before, since the gazelle incident. I am aware of it currently being developed and there have already been many Fm tweaks with the past updates, so it seems, it was wise of me not to jump in straight away .
  3. This is not a Bronco pal its a C337..
  4. BTW Even the 3d model is not accurate as you can see here :
  5. @Zapper3535No the FM is not perfect. I have investigated this myself over the past years even involving real operators. Everything you need to know is here: )Look for my post to find out about the notable differences) and the notorious slip indicator issue here: (where when compared to data tables of the real thing there can be noticed control input declinations..., thanks to test's done by some kind members). I also consider my self Subject matter Expert on the Huey... so I don't accept any debate or possible doubts that might raise.
  6. Yes like Tim said. Even the Kiowa fly's with right pedal in level flight as I have confirmed with real pilot. In my country I see Huey's fly over my house all the time as Hellenic Army is still operating them, anyway's the left slip as @Tim_Fragmagnet said is actually so much I can actually notice it from the ground when looking at them flying at speed low altitude. @BIGNEWY Still no update with what's going on with the remedy of this important issue...
  7. Buy 202. Don't care mate. Polychop is unprofessional and nothing ain't gonna change that for me. The damage is done.
  8. Well, I won't be buying Kiowa because I am offended as a customer from the previous purchase. Ain't gonna reward them with my money...
  9. Well. As I have personally tried 2years ago Lockheed's Martin very own f-16 simulator. I have to say that the Roll behavior is overall better now than before as it matches the experience I had better from what my memory serves. While previously roll stopped instataneously when letting go of stick and that might be considered realistic judging by cockpit videos... the roll rate was extremely sluggish and it was nearly impossible to pull some maneuvers requiring fast levelling of wings. Also I remember the LM's simulator distinctevely depicting a high roll inertia almost like what we currently have in dcs, so its either correct as is now or possibly both dcs and Lockheed Martin simulator are wrong and not accurate enough.
  10. @NineLine Irrelevant with the topic, but can something be done about the nose drop when banking and knife edging? Also there is a small pitch down moment, like a hesitation to rotate on takeoff, something I think should not be happening in a F-16 as they tend to pitch up not down on takeoff and therefore flcs corrects for that behavior but in dcs its like its overcorrecting and pitching the nose back down...
  11. try the fw's perhaps. The prohibitions Yo-Yo speaks of are mostly due to engine limitations.
  12. There is also this other thread from an other real pilot, having experience in heavy prop planes stating the exact same observations like me. He also says that currently the only airplane that stall spins realistically in DCS is f-86 sabre... and also finds P-51 sub-par.
  13. @Yo-YoBoth fw's are currently impossible to hammerhead in dcs. Also 109 has unreasonable weak inflight rudder and is also surprisingly difficult for me to hammerhead. I don't know how it happens so cleanly in that video, as I always end in uncontrolled excessive yaw induced spin rolls when I kick the rudder, perhaps in video rudder is feeded progreessively and very slowly,.... a technique that doesn't apply in real life. Its also the only way that works in dcs to somehow perform hammerhead maneuvers, as kicking the rudder will upset the airplane so unrealistically much, that it will enter inverted spins. P47 nope ... Spitfire, cant hammerhead that either. DCS P-51 has the best flight model in my opinion and is the only one I can short of hammerhead. Sometimes I find it unintuitive . As for the Yak-52, yes it hammerheads easily but even with the updates it has a long way to come to be a good accurate flight model. There is also no apparent reason why yak-52 hammerheads that easily while its so hard to do it in the warbirds.
  14. Saying that a WWII warbird cant hammerhead is absurd and indicates complete topic ignorance.
  15. Means nothing. Polychop, for example tuned SA342 Gazelle with the help of REAL pilots, yet its flight model is broken as hell and everybody knows that. ED also didn't do anything to remove or refund the product and still at least 5 years without fix. The thing is I know this behavior is wrong, I don't think..... Bonanza is not acro plane.. T-6 Texan wasn't designed as acrobatic plane either...
  16. Look T-6 texan video.... Its simillar weight plane. hahaha xD. And I will let you leave your DCS dream of realistic flight behavior simulator... Also P51 in DCS is the least wrong flight model in DCS IMAO and the only one I am able to somehow pull a hammerhead.
  17. Thats right. For the benighted... Even a bonanza can hammerhead... better Check also 4:07 of video
  18. If I go ahead and rename it..., I am pretty sure I will have to do it again in 5 months.
  19. Yes, there's a difference you'll notice in your pocket.
  20. @DD_Fenrir In regards to comments about the T-6 not handling like a WWII fighter...
  21. I acknowledge, but I assure you it ain't a feeling... It will also be a long subject conversation I am only willing to do via PM or email out of respect of ED.
  22. Oh look that. Wait what? T6 Texan hammerheads very alike an Extra 300....
  23. Aside from Extra 300, Perhaps we should compare against a more suitable example.... the T6 Texan... Yeah DCS Warbirds rudder authority is still miles away from being adequate enough.... The conclusions are yours as always...
  24. @Ala13_ManOWar Yah, like DCS PFM's aren't actually tables based effects, tuned and baked accordingly... but perhaps you are too benighted to know that.
  25. @grafspee Solution is simple for K-4. Increase torgue effect at takeoff and in parallel increase rudder authority, so inflight regimes, you have more rudder authority....
