  1. When you right-click a building, a popup displaying "assign as..." shows up. This opens the trigger information display on the left side. It starts off displaying: ROLE VALUE OBJECT ID NAME Where can I get a key or list of what can add in that "Name - Value" box, along with explanations of use? For example... the first entry "ROLE" - what commands can I put in the VALUE side of the box? Thanks in advance, Miccara

    A10A Rockets

Which are the most effective (destructive) rockets for use on the A10a or C?
  5. I've been working on this mission for some time, it plays on my server and was a bit of a testing bed for new ideas then placed in rotation. For some reason, I can't explain why the CTLD stopped loading. Worked fine initially. A player on the server told me it wasn't working. Since I haven't flown choppers in this mission for quite a while, I don't know when it stopped working. There has been no significant change to the mission besides some DML stuff. I've made a lot of missions and have never been stumped by a CTLD problem. Maybe someone can look at the mission and see something I'm missing? Don't be too critical about the "TIME MORE" settings, I was trying to space stuff out to see if it solved the problem. The logs are not helping me either. Thanks for any assistance. This one is frustrating me!!! HOMs-vA62.miz
  6. Also... I would kill for an "Undo last" key in the Mission Editor.
  7. During the multiplayer game, each player saw something different. I built the mission and saw destruction but the other players saw no destruction or some.
  8. The SCENERY DESTRUCTION ZONE option is one of the best features on the map when running a ground mission. This needs to be functional in the multi-player version. It adds a great amount of wartime realism to the game.
  9. I still have no idea how random failures got into this mission, especially since it's multiplayer. I thought it was something I did while editing but since this mission, another has shown up with the same problem on my server. This "new problem" mission has not been touched or edited in quite a while. I checked the Mission file and 13001 lines of Random Failures were in it. You got me on this one!
  10. The ability to use the same CAP aircraft repeatedly would make a substantial contribution to mission editing. Rather than having to duplicate CAP that may get shot down, along with all the friggin' triggers needed to send out new CAP, having the ability to revive the original shot-down CAP starting in the original position would be a huge timesaver and clean up a lot of clutter on the mission editor. Also, as an additional example, I have a mission where a Mi8 (set as "Client") flies out to accomplish a particular goal. Two Ai Mi24s are assigned to escort it. I remove the escort with a trigger if the player crashes or gets shot down during the mission goal. Then, when the player tries again, I have to insert two new escorts along with all the new trigger work needed. I also need to estimate how many times escorts may be needed and repeat the placing of escorts, and all the triggers needed. If I could simply revive the original escorts every time the Client restarts, that would be a beautiful thing.
  11. I will let you know if it reappears in any of the missions. Thanks for the info!
  12. Brilliant, Flappie! Thank you. This was very frustrating but you solved the issue. Can you provide me with any details as to what/where the issue was so that I may solve it in the future?
  13. I have a multi-player mission I've been using on my server for more than a year. I recently added an additional task for the Mi8s. It is just another destination for the pilot to complete a task. The problem is it seems, random failures have been triggered (to a high degree of failures too), and the Mi8s can never complete the mission due to the failures (80-mile trip). In every attempt to complete the run, I have Main Fuel Tank Failures, Chip Detector, Left engine failures, Rotor Failure, and co-pilot death (why Co-Pilot death is included in random failures I'll never know!). I've changed nothing in the core mission itself and have not, and have never, checked off "Random Failures" in the menu. I submitted a ticket to DCS but they have dropped the issue without resolution. I simply can't understand why this is happening. Can someone tell me where (file), random failures are activated in the operating system file? Maybe I can remove it from there. All help is appreciated.

  15. What would be great is if the area destruction trigger worked in multiplayer. When building missions dealing with towns, the atmosphere is so much better when rolling through a destroyed town.
  16. Yeah, I get that... and it is what I do. It would be a lot easier to have the option in the pulldown when working through issues, especially if you have a lot of triggers. Being able to bypass triggers containing Do Scripts or Do Script Files, would just seem easier and quicker.
  17. In addition to: - 1 ONCE - 2 REPETITIVE ACTION - 3 SWITCHED CONDITION - 4 MISSIN START What would be helpful in debugging and mission building, would be : 5 - BYPASS TRIGGER (or SKIP TRIGGER) Rather than having to delete a trigger, being able to skip it for testing would make our lives a little easier.
  18. Well... DCS hasn't been all that helpful in solving this issue. To recap; It seems random failures are triggered in this mission even though not set by me during development. The failures seem to only affect the helos. This is an incomplete mission (which explains some of the timing settings and positionings). Try to fly the rescue Mi8 from the FARP to the rescue point and then to the northern airport destination. It is usually plagued with failures.
  19. I'll check it out and let you know. Thanks guys.
  20. I have an 80-mile trip built into one of our multi-player missions which an Mi8 must fly. Several issues have come up while testing. During the first few tests, the Mi8 ran out of fuel approximately 65-70 miles into the trip (tried several flights with the same result). The aircraft starts out with 100% fuel showing. About 12:36 minutes into the flight (flying @ 92% power, 97% main rotor, level flight, on autopilot, engine temp show about 82 on the gauge with an airspeed of about 180-190), I get a "Main Fuel Tank Failure" warning. About 15:30 into the mission I sometimes have the tail rotor stop mid-flight for no assignable reason, while all else appears normal. This results in a loss of control and a crash. I have not turned on Random Failures (I have double-checked). The tail rotor stopping has been sporadic - every 2nd or 3rd flight. Fuel failure is constant AND fuel dramatically lowers at some point in the flight giving me an Emergency Fuel level warning. Aircraft cannot make the 80-mile trip even though leaving the FARP with 100% fuel. Running the latest Beta version. I've tested this several times. There are some other random bugs that have been showing up as well. Am I missing something obvious? Again, this is a highly repeatable problem.
  21. Give me a full fidelity (Clickable), I'll give you $30 in addition to what I paid for it.
  22. GeezusMerffy, I'm a friggin' idiot! Thanks, your question opened my eyes to the obvious. I needed a "Time Since Flag". I've only done this 100 times before but for some reason didn't clue in.
  23. Gave it a try. Unfortunately, not the answer.
